Aaaand I also ran out of stock chapters which explains my 2 weeks of not posting. Buuuttt, I finally finished the chapter I've been thinking of writing for a while now! I hope you guys enjoy this little easter egg from the past! If anyone needs a refresher, I numbered the easter egg and added the chapter it came from at the bottom. Now that were finished with formalities~ Chapter Start!!!//

Third P.O.V.

One man walks down the empty halls of Hogwarts, his cloak billowing behind him in a disorderly manner yet the loose cloth of his turban sits on his shoulder eerily still and lifeless. School starts in a month and he had finally returned from his yearlong sabbatical around the world.

3 months ago, not long after reaching Albania whilst still aimlessly searching for whatever 'remained of Voldemort' after his defeat on the Halloween of '81 - partly out of curiosity, partly out of his unacknowledged dėsɨrė for importance from his childhood [4]– Quirrell caught wind of a claim of the new rising of a Dark Lord in one of the busiest cities in America.

Of course, there had been more than several Dark Lord conspiracy theories and rumors all over the world. However, this particular case stood out to him for the main subject of the claim had been a young boy – several decades younger than his other 'Dark Lord' contenders.

Once he reached New York, it hadn't taken him long to find the source of the claims. A single wizarding household with the surname Whitfield. The whole family had been ostracized from the rest of New York's wizarding society after the state had gotten tired of their actions. Specifically, they had continuously pestered the media, posted slanderous messages and threats to Stark industries, and sent 26 petitions to the court to have a retrial of their deceased family member who was once a Chief Auror. [1]

The first time Quirrell met them, the paranoia and resentment of the world couldn't be hidden from their eyes - especially those of Mrs. Whitfield. Quirrel had almost expected them to tell him their whole story (given how open they were about their 'case' with the public), hence, their blatant refusal to talk to him stunned him speachless.

"My family is not a circus show for you to document!" Mrs. Whitfield shouted before slamming shut the door in Quirrell's face. Honestly, Quirrell has almost marked of this case as another dead end. There wasn't much of a lead and Mr. John Whitfield's case had been transparent as water - suicide after losing his job and reputation, simple as that.

The child the Whitfield family claimed to be 'evil' and 'the birth of a new Dark Lord' had only been an unfortunate muggle born whose accidental magic had been captured on camera, and 'Merlin knows why' released to the media by Chief Whitfield. And Quirrell had been fully convinced this was the case until he saw a paparazzi video of the boy.

Quirrell might not have recognized the boy if he had not seen Lord Malfoy in his youth. Blur the boy's face and 'Tom Stark' would be an exact replica of his childhood bully. Though Quirrell may say 'childhood bully', Lord Malfoy was more synonymous to a boggart for his entire school. There were no small amount of half-bloods and muggleborns that were humiliated and oppressed under the reign of the 'prince of Slytherin'; many purebloods weren't spared either but they were subordinated through political means. His first two years as a student at Hogwarts had been spent trembling at the mention of 'Malfoy'. Even after Malfoy graduated, he would often fight against Death Eaters hoping that the one he was facing wasn't 'Malfoy'. Quirrell had been devastated when the Daily Prophet reported Malfoy's innocence, and rued the day the board member may visit Hogwarts. Thankfully in his years of teaching Muggle Studies, Lucius Malfoy hadn't visited even once nor exercised his power.

Returning from this tangent, Quirrell could summarize his memories of Malfoy as a presence he would never forget. Hence, it was all too easy for him to recognize Tom Stark's resemblance to the man in his appearance, arrogance, and bearing by which he held himself.

It was strange that Tom Stark had been admitted to Hogwarts in the first place instead of Ilvermorny. However, if Malfoy was his birth father, then everything would make sense. Quirrell now firmly believes that Malfoy hid his son in America after he had been put into trial as a Death Eater. And now that many people have forgotten his name and he rarely appears in public, he wishes to reclaim his son. However, with regards to Malfoy's relation to Tony Stark. Quirrell could only say that "he has no f*cking clue."

After giving the Whitfield's his 'conspiracy theory' that 'Tom Stark' was the biological son of a serial murderer that escaped conviction, they had welcomed him into their home with open arms. And there he received a piece of 'evidence' that they never dared submit to court, for it had been 'too important' yet 'non-incriminating' and they didn't want to lose this evidence. [2]

Having learned that Tom Stark would soon be attending the school he is teaching at, the Whitfields gave it to him for free under the condition that he use it to 'prevent Tom Stark from murdering anyone else'.

The Whitfields gave him a vial that contained thin wispy thread-like clouds of magic with a white-blue hue – a memory [3]. They told him that they received it on the day of John Whitfield's 'murder' only a couple hours after his time of death. Combined with the memory inside, fear had paralyzed them cold as ice – only daring to fight back against Stark industries out in the open where their lives were at least protected under the guise of 'public infamy'. They believed that the Starks wouldn't dare kill them since they would be the 'first suspect'.

Quirrell could still remember Mrs. Whitfield's strained voice that shuddered under shaky breaths as she whispered. "Beware of him. That bastard that the gall to murder my husband in cold blood, take his (John) memory that flaunts his (Tom) power, and threaten us with it by leave it by our doorstep. There is nothing that immoral human wouldn't dare to do. He may look like a child, but he is definitely a monster."

By the time Quirrell finished recalling his time in America, he had reached the Griffin statue at the entrance of Dumbledore's office. Taking a deep breath, Quirrell calmed his nerves and said the name of a sweet.

Stepping onto the revolving staircase as it rose from the ground, he clenched the vial within an inner pocket of his robes with his sweaty palms. Many emotions fluctuated within him. Anxiety, fear, anticipation, and dread.

There was still a silver of pity he felt for what he was about to do. But exhilaration dominated his fears, giving him the bravery to do anything it takes to receive achievements. At the very least, Quirrell fantasised that he could be the man who tracked Voldemort down, but he was temporarily satisfied with being recognized as the hero to indict Malfoy and his spawn as non-innocents. [4]

Quirrell would be the one to prevent any more Malfoys from terrorizing the halls of Hogwarts.

[1] For the purpose of this book. There is no such thing as 'double jeopardy' in wizarding court.

[2] For the purposes of this book, once an 'evidence' is used in court and denied as non-incriminatory it cannot be used again.

[3] From the arc { I found daddy, but I hurt him!!! }. Which specific memory… I think you can guess. But if you don't wanna that's fine too~ Dumbledore would have a scene where the memory is explain a bit more in detail in the future.

[4] If anyone noticed, yes I used 2 passages about Quirrell from Harry Potter Wiki. I thought "What better method to portray Quirrell's beliefs than the words of an official source?" So yep.. I'm copying, but I'm not blatantly plagiarizing since I'm stating my source. Nobody sue me please, okay?
