Too Late....

Paul slapped Shreya so hard, that she lost her balance." I thought I know you, but now I think I was wrong. How could you do this to her? You always knew how important she is for me. But still..." His voice roared in the mansion.

"Hey, Buddy, you are overreacting. Just listen,....." Xavier tried to say but was cut in the middle when Paul spat,

"Shut the hell up, or I will kill you. I know it's you who has kept all that fu*k in her bag. I never thought that you could be this childish of all people." Paul was heaving while his vein popped on his temple,

"Both of you will apologize to her tomorrow."

Paul looked at Shreya and cupped her face and whispered, "Why you would do this, honey?"

Tears were sliding down from her eyes when she replied, "I saw, the way she looks at you. She still loves you. And don't deny that you don't know that. I just want to show her that she can't have you. You belong to me. Only me. I know it was childish, but I was desperate, please, I am sorry." She cried hugging him this time.

"Paul, listen I helped her because I don't want to see you both breaking up again. You guys recently patched up. I can't let anyone come between you two. Even if she's your angel." Xavier said when Paul was trying to calm down Shreya.

But this made Paul glare at Xavier. He knows what they were talking about. "Baby, look at me. I know she still has feelings for me. But I love you. No one can separate us. Not even her. Ok? But she is important to me. Please, for me just say sorry."

"Can't we just say we found the culprit. So we don't have to say sorry to her." Xavier again replied,

Paul gave him a hard look, "Do you think she is stupid? She is smart. She does know who is behind this? So, I don't care. Tomorrow both of you are going to apologize to her."

Both Shreya and Xavier agreed at this.

"She called me a thief, Rishan." Rishika was hiccupping while Rishan was patting her head while she couldn't stop sobbing.

"Why did you run? You should have stayed there and punched her. Instead of crying like a loser here now, "

"Yes, you are right. I should have punched her. And should have used my colorful words which describe her as bitch, or s.l.u.t, etc". Both giggled at this and she finally stopped shedding tears and went back to their respective rooms.

The next day Paul called Rishika many times and she declined his every effort to contact her. But this is when a message chimed on her cell phone." pick up the phone before I kidnap you again."

Rishika rolled her eyes on this. She was busy as a very important guest has booked the cafe in advance. So, a lot of work is being done and everyone was told to be extra vigilant.

She was in the kitchen having her lunch that was a chicken burger when Jessica informed her to serve their guest.

Rishika went towards the table and saw Shreya, Paul & Xavier sitting there. She wants to leave from there but knew this job is important and those people no matter how fu*ked up, are important.

"I should have known this. Why are you all here, to humiliate me again with your bitch?" Rishika couldn't help but sneer at their faces.

Paul and Xavier fisted their hands when they heard how she was referring to Shreya.

"Don't they teach you manners while training?" said Xavier

"Oh, they do. But they never teach you how to deal with donkeys and their bitches," smirked Rishika.

"Rishika, please. They are here to apologize. They are.." Paul tried to say but was cut off when Rishika said,

"Can you guys go outside? I need to talk to her alone" this time Shreya said looking at both men.

Xavier and Paul immediately left them alone and went outside.

"Sorry," said Shreya. "I don't know how to explain this. But I'm genuinely sorry. I should have not done that. It's just that I was insecure." before she can carry on she was cut in the middle by Rishika.

"It's okay. I understand. But Shreya, I'm not going to explain this again. I don't want to come in between you two. If I was old Rishika, trust me I wouldn't have given up on Paul. "

"are you trying to make me insecure? because it's working" said Shreya.

"No, I'm just telling you the truth," replied Rishika.

"I love him Shreya. But I know I can't have him & trust me, I very badly wish that it was enough reason for me to stop loving him. There are times when I would do anything for him just to make him love me back. But the saddest truth is, he loves you. And now, so much happen in life that he doesn't deserve me." Said Rishika with heavy heart remembering the ordeal she went through.

"Hey, are you ok? What happened? What do you mean he doesn't deserve you? " asked Shreya.

Shreya sensed the sincerity in Rishika's words. She can easily see in Rishika's eyes, the love she has for Paul.

Soon both the boys came back and saw both the girls conversing just fine. They joined them when Rishika said looking at Xavier, "He didn't apologize to me."

" Don't you know? There are no thanks & sorry among friends." Xavier smirked at Rishika on which Rishika rolled her eyes.

Soon they started hanging out with each other. Paul tried to help her financially but Rishika declined.

Shreya and Rishika became friends. Shreya bought so many gifts for her. Rishika always tried to decline but somehow Shreya convinced her.

They all planned for the trip. Paul asked her to bring Rishan.

All were excited about the trip. But in the end moment Rishan back out citing emergency in the family. They all went on an Island.

Shreya informed them that she has a surprise for them which she will tell them at dinner. Xavier & Shreya got busy planning a surprise.

While Paul saw Rishika taking a walk on the beach. Paul knew that he is attracted to Rishika. Xavier did confront him on this, but he made sure that he will never cheat on Shreya.

At dinner, Paul asked Shreya, "Are you going to tell us your surprise. Or we'll have to wait. "

Shreya looked at him and smiled, "I'm pregnant". Silence prevails in the room. But soon Paul hugged her.

Rishika sat there not able to understand whether she feels happy or sad for losing the love of her life.

Composing herself she congratulated her. Xavier was happy as he always considered Shreya as his sister.

Rishika was sitting alone in the garden. She was happy for Shreya but recalled how happy Shreya looked while announcing her pregnancy.

Keeping a hand on her stomach she said, "I'm so sorry. I never get the chance to say sorry to you. No matter who your father is, you deserved a chance to live. You don't deserve a bad mother like me. I'm so sorry I wasn't able to protect you because of my stupidity."

She looked in the sky and prayed

" Please have mercy on my child, keep him with you. "

Xavier sat down beside her and said, "you are a good girl, Rishika. I can see you are genuinely happy for Shreya. I thought you were a gold digger. But soon Paul told me that you belonged to a very rich family. Why are you staying alone here in England then? Go back to your family."

"I will go back when the time is right. I'm just waiting for a call," Whispered Rishika.

Xavier nodded on this & all of them went to their respective rooms.

At midnight Rishika went to the kitchen feeling hungry. When she noticed Paul sitting on the couch crying silently.

Rishika didn't like the crying Paul. She went to him and asked, "Hey, what happened? Why are you sitting alone and why the hell are you crying?"

"I'm scared. I was happy when Shreya informed me about pregnancy. But now I' m scared. What if I become just like my father. What if my child hates me just like I hate my father."

Rishika put her hands on his shoulder and said, "Your father was a sick man. He needs help. But neither you are sick nor you need help. So chill. I'm sure you will be a good father. Your child will love you. "

Paul hugged her. Both sat there for a while.

After coming back from the trip. Paul informed his grandad and his mother & sister. All are happy& excited about the baby.

To celebrate this news they all organized a charity event.

Rishika was also invited. She was happy for the couple. When she reached there she saw the event is organized for orphans.

Soon, Paul made her meet his sister, " Rishika, she's my sister April. And he is Chase my brother -in -law. " Rishika smiled at them. Soon the dinner was served.

When she was about to sit John interrupted, "Only family members are allowed to sit on this table. "

"PA! Rishika is a family. Why are you creating a scene here? Xavier is also sitting here." Paul said calmly to John.

"How dare you to compare Xavier to this low-class girl? Xavier is my family. And being the head of this family I'll decide who is going to sit here. Ask your low- class girl to sit with orphans. After all, she is also an orphan." Smirked John looking at Rishika.

Rishika gets up from his seat but before going she said, "Paul, keep your child away from your grandad. Because last time I check, he lost his only daughter to some killer. Having so much money, still couldn't find his daughter. She must-have felt that maybe her father abandoned her. It's better to be orphan than being a daughter of some filthy rich person who couldn't find his daughter for so many years while she cried every night for his help."

Rishika left from there leaving John beyond furious. John's hatred for Rishika was beyond the limit when he looked at his daughter who was furious too.

" I am sorry, mom." Paul tried to calm her.

Paul felt guilty for Rishika as well as for his grandad. He decides to spend all his day with Rishika as it was Sunday.

Rishika and Paul did spend their day together. Rishika began shopping for Shreya and her upcoming baby.

When Paul reached home he noticed a very angry Shreya. "How could you forget that today is my birthday? But no, you were busy in making up with your friend. How could you do this to me?

"Baby, I'm really sorry. We'll celebrate your birthday now. See what Rishika has brought for our baby..." Said, Paul.

But Shreya snatched the gifts from him and threw it in a dustbin. "I don't want gifts from that low class."

"Shreya!" Paul's voice roared. Shreya flinched on this and started crying. Paul softens looking at her like this and apologized for his behavior.

Soon they started making out. Paul put Shreya on his shoulder and went towards his room.

The next day Rishika wake up as someone was banging on her door. As she opens up the door, she found Shreya.

Shreya asked her to go to a Mall with her. Rishika sensed that she is not looking well. But agrees to go.

Soon, they completed their shopping. They planned to go to the food court. Rishika was having her food when Shreya took out the cheque and gave it to her. "This is for leaving Paul. If you want more I can give you, more. But disappear from his life."

Rishika looked at her and tried to know the reason why she is behaving like this. She was informed about how Paul missed Shreya's birthday because he spent the day with her.

"Shreya, look if you want I will leave from here. You don't have to give me this cheque. I already told you that I know I can't have him. I'm no longer worthy of Paul anymore. So stop being insecure. It's not good for the baby. "

Shreya banged her hands on the table and said, "Don't worry about my baby and Paul. I can take care of them."

Angrily Shreya went towards the escalator. Rishika went behind her as she forgets her purse and bag behind. And the last thing Rishika wanted in her list was to have them call her a thief again. Rishika tries to hold her hands. But received a slap from her. Rishika was shocked.

But the next words from Shreya's mouth froze her when she said, "don't touch me with your filthy hands. You already killed your brother now wants to kill mine. No wonder your family kicked you out."

Rishika didn't hold back & screamed, "How dare you bitch? You yourself are a gold digger. Belonging from low-class family, you just have lured Paul. Don't take my family name from your filthy mouth. You, yourself is characterless who got pregnant before marriage. Who knows whether this child belongs to Paul or not. Is that what you're parents taught you to get pregnant so that you can force a guy to marry you. " Rishika realized what she said is cruel and was about to say sorry to her.

Listening against her child & her parents, Shreya was about to slap her again but Rishika tried to catch her hand before it landed on her cheek again but this made Shreya lost her balance as she falls down from the escalator.

"My baby!" she screamed painfully.

Rishika was stunned about what just happened before she went to help her.
