Chapter 11. Poaching

"Who might you be?"

"My name is Zhang Yufeng. I am a manager from RG entertainment."

Zhang Yufeng answered with a smile and he expected Ren to be surprised but his face was unchanging.

"RG entertainment!! Damn!"

Instead of Ren, White bear response was more enthusiastic. He was truly looking like someone who was greatly surprised.

Ignoring White bear, Zhang Yufeng continued.

"I saw your acting. It was amazing."

His tone was blank. He didn't wanted to flatter Ren too much by sounding overly enthusiastic. If he really did that, there was a chance that Ren would become over confident.

He was still 20 years old old and Zhang Yufeng had seen various young actors ruin their careers because of over confident. That's why he didn't wanted to flatter Ren too much.

"Thank you for your compliment."

Ren's response was really unenthusiastic and that surprised Zhang Yufeng.

Zhang Yufeng had clearly told him that he was the manager of RG entertainment but Ren's response was really bland which greatly surprised him.

Whenever he talked to some actors was said that he was from RG entertainment, there would only be two response he received.

'You're from RG?!!' They would act surprised and try to get on his good side, while the other response would be, 'Are you a scammer?' and they would doubt him.

"It was my first time being scared seeing an fighting scene. Your expressions were really frightening."

Zhang Yufeng tried to butter him a bit.

If it was some other actor, he wouldn't have done that. He only tried to flatter him because he truly felt that his acting was good.

His expressions were really frightening while his fighting scenes were great.

He was someone with both good acting and good martial arts but the main reason he liked him was different.

Whenever Ren was doing a scene, he was giving his all. He didn't tried to slack off once.

He also did the rehearsals like he was actually filming.

Zhang Yufeng was closely looking when Ren was doing his fighting scenes. His actions were not smooth but they were not wild either. He was only giving his best.

That's what he liked about him.

Ren was doing his scenes with an unique enthusiasm.

"You know, I have something to discuss with you. Do you want to have dinner together."

Flattering didn't work, so Zhang Yufeng changed his attitude. He was more straightforward this time.

"I have something to do today, I am afraid I will not be able to have dinner with you."

Ren said as he bowed slightly. He didn't wanted to look conceited and disrespectful.

"Is that so! It's a pity."

Zhang Yufeng clicked his tongeue when he heard that. He was slightly dissapointed but he didn't give up and continued.

"So, how about going to a cafe. It will only take 10 minutes."

"Cafe?"

Going to a cafe didn't take much time. Ren also didn't wanted to stood up a manager from RG entertainment.

As Ren was about to answer his question, he saw someone coming towards him. It was Jiang Wan, Chu Min's manager.

'This is going to be interesting.'

Chu Min thought as he looked at Jiang Wan who was frantically running towards Ren.

He was already enjoying a great show when Zhang Yufeng had started talking to Ren. Now, that Jiang Wan had also came, he felt that it would be more than just interesting.

"He, hello, Manager Zhang."

Jiang Wan first greeted Zhang Yufeng as he reached close to them. He was taking deep breaths and his face was full of sweet. It looked like he had ran quite a lot.

"Yeah, hello."

Zhang Yufeng also greeted him out of politeness but he was confused as to why he was here.

He was not much close to Jiang Wan. They had only occasionally met.

That's why, after greeting him, he completely ignored him and continued his talk with Ren.

"So, how about it? Do you want to have a talk in a cafe. I know a nice one close to here."

Seeing Zhang Yufeng completely ignoring him, Jiang Wan gave Chu Min a look that said that he needed help but Chu Min just shrugged his shoulders.

He was more interested in watching instead of interfering.

Seeing him act like this, Jiang Wan gave up on him and and started going on the offensive.

He stepped ahead and pushed Zhang Yufeng to the side as he said.

"How about we have some coffee together. I wanted to talk to you about something."

Seeing this, Zhang Yufeng eyes were full of anger. Not only he deliberately pushed him, he even dared to poach someone he had eyes on, in front of him.

He can't let this go. Zhang Yufeng was short tempered and he easily got into conflicts. He was not going to let this continues.

So, he also pushed Jiang Wan. He lightly pushed him but Jiang Wan actually fell on the ground because of that push.

"Ahh….."

"Chief/ Brother Wan."

White bear had Chu Min panicked because of his sudden fall and quickly helped him. Ren also help him stood up.

He was not able to understand what was going on. Two middle aged man were fighting like children.

"I am really sorry. You didn't got hurt, right."

Zhang Yufeng hurriedly apologised to Jiang Wan. He only wanted to give a light push, he didn't knew that Jiang Wan would fall because of that.

"It's okay."

Jiang Wan was angry at him but he also knew that it was him who had started this. He can't be angry at this moment.

"Um, I am sorry but I don't think I have time today."

"Can't you give us just a few minutes?"

"Yeah, It is really important. It will not take much of your time."

"I am really sorry but I really can't give you time today. I have a matter to deal with."

Ren said as he bowed towards the two of them. He was not naive enough to not notice that both the managers wanted to talk about a contract but he didn't wanted to waste his time taking to them.

The shooting was almost over and most of his scenes were finished. His work was over and now, he wanted to spend some time with his mother.

In his previous life, his mother had died and now that he was back, he wanted to spend some time with her.

"Well, it can't be helped then."

"Let's eat dinner next time."

"Sure."

The two managers also didn't bothered him much after seeing his sincerity. They could feel that Ren really had some important thing to do.

Either way, they could meet at the next shooting location. All the scenes of Ren were not completed and there were many scenes that were left.

They could easily meet him at the next shooting. So, they just give him a business card and left.

It seems like Zhang Yufeng had some work in the company and Chu Min had a interview, so he also left with Jiang Wan.

The shooting was also over, so Ren also left with White bear. It was a tiring and happy day for him.
