Chapter 24. VIP screening

Outside the venue of the VIP screening.

The venue was bustling with reporters, photographers, cameramen, and security guards in front of the VIP screening photo wall.

Each time a celebrity passed by, a loud commotion broke out and people can hear shutter sounds.

There were various celebrities attending the event.

Director Zhu had used his connections and invited many actors he had worked with previously.

Chu Min and Li Xinru had also used their connections to invite celebrities.

Li Xinru had even contacted her previous group members to the screening. They all had gone all out with this.

"Wow, Even Sun Che had come to the screening. They must have used their every connection for it."

"Yeah, he was shooting for a movie overseas but he came to the screening because Director Zhu personally invited him."

"They must be very confident in the film. Nearly all the major media outlets had come to the screening."

When the reported with the moustache said that, the other reporter shrugged his shoulder as he replied.

"Maybe, they just wanted to create some hype, there were rumours that the movie is not good."

"How can you know that? You haven't watched the movie, right?"

"I just heard some rumours. The film schedule was delayed and I had even heard that they rejected Chen Tian for a role and gave it to a rookie actor."

"Where did you heard that?"

When the moustache reported asked that, the other reporter smiled smugly as he said.

"I am pretty close with Chen Tian's manager. I heard it when we had some drinks together. Apparently, Chen Than was rejected after his role was pretty much confirmed, that's why he was angry about it."

"Well, either way, the movie is getting enough attention. If the story is good, then it can be a hit."

The reporter with the moustache said as he took out his phone. His phone was filled with articles regarding the movie.

The reporters were writing new articles every second.

"It is just because the reviews of the critics were not that good about «Silly love»."

"Yeah, they called it a usual love comedy with no plot and weak story. Some even say that the film was boring."

The other reporter clicked his tongue when he heard that and said.

"Although, the reviews were bad, people will definitely choose a love comedy over a spy thriller unless..."

"...….There is something special about it that shocked them."

"What happened? Why are you looking so nervous?"

Noticing his nervousness, Chu Min glanced at him and said.

"Ah, I am just worried about the movie."

'Worried about the movie?'

Chu Min nearly laughed out when he heard that. The person who had acted so m.a.t.u.r.ely on the set was now nervous before the premiere.

Chu Min felt that it was laughable but he didn't make fun of Ren, instead he said.

"Even you felt nervousness. I am glad that you are feeling it."

"Huh?? Why are you glad about it?"

Ren let out a confused voice when he heard that.

"No, it's just that, you were acting so m.a.t.u.r.e on the set. There was not a ounce of nervousness at that time but now, you are nervous."

Ren wanted to retort to that sentence but he didn't did that.

Although he was calm on the set, it doesn't mean he was not nervous. He had only gotten calm after the shooting had progressed.

He was also nervous when he had first did the role. At that time, he was afraid of failure but now, he was afraid because of uncertainty.

After regressing back to the past, Ren had gotten the role he had missed previously and had changed the future.

In his previous life, «Secret spy» was barely able to become a average grosser, there were many reasons behind this but the main reason was the acting.

But this time, Ren had changed that by doing the role. He had done his best in that role but he was worried about the result.

He didn't knew if it was because he had became too comfortable because of knowing the future, but he felt more nervousness than usual.

"Are you worried because of the movie «Silly love»?"

Ren suddenly thought of that movie when Chu Min mentioned it.

It was a love comedy which had opened up for a decent box office but quickly fell because of its poor story.

In the end, it was considered a below average grosser.

Truthfully, Ren was not worried about that film. That's why he replied.

"I am not much worried about that film."

"You are not worried about our competitor but you are worried about your own film."

Chu Min felt that it was funny. He again thought that working with Ren was fun.

"You really worried too much but worrying is also good."

"Ah, why is worrying good?"

When Ren asked that, Chu Min titled his head and said.

"You are worried because you have given your best, right and now, you are waiting for the result. You wanted the result to be good, that's why you are worried."

Ren silently pondered over Chu Min words and thought that they were true.

Although he was uncertain about the future, there is not only the bad type of future, there is also a good one.

And Ren had worked hard for that good future, no, he will continue to work hard for a good future, until he achieved it.

One or two setbacks didn't matter, he only had to do his best from now on.

He smiled thinking about that and glanced at Chu Min as he said.

"You know, Brother Chu, you are surprisingly m.a.t.u.r.e sometimes."

Chu Min smacked him into his head and when he heard that and said while laughing.

"Of course, I am your senior."

With that short of atmosphere, the VIP screening began and the critics reviews were enough to give the judgement about the film.

{I had stepped into the theatre without thinking any think but when I stepped out, my mind was filled with thoughts. «Secret spy» is a story that will take you through a sea of questions but left you with a ocean of questions but I loved every moment of it}

-A critic who was infatuated with the movie from Movie weekly.

{A well packed action thriller with right amount of action and a massive amount of suspense. The film is a dish you would love to eat and the dessert was especially delicious.}

-A reporter who was impressed by the movie from Showbuzz.

{A not so embarrassing thriller after a long time. The main focus of the story was it's plot and the characters which were affected by it. The acting and direction was impressive. There was even something I didn't expect to see but it really gave me the chills.}

-A critic who got chills after watching the movie from Film daily.

{I was not expecting much at the beginning but it gave me the chills at the end. I got a bigger surprise out of the movie when the true cards started to unfold and the last few scenes were the turning point of the movie. Chu Min fit perfectly in his character but the scene stealer was someone else.}

-A eccentric critic who loved the movie from Zol magazine.

The movie immediately created a frenzy after the reviews got published online. People were curious about the movie that gave the chills to the critics and reporter.
