Chapter 34. Truth

After deciding his decision, Ren quickly started searching for clues.

For clues, he first started finding about her information on the internet.

Ren founded some information about her on the company website.

Xiao Rin was recruited in the industry when she was just 14 years old, it's been two years since then.

For a year, she was a part of the acting course but after a year, she suddenly transferred to the singing department.

He didn't found any information about it on the website. If he wanted to know more, he had to investigate it personally.

For that, he had already told White bear to ask about it. He didn't wanted to involve him but for the past few days, White bear had been going to drinking parties with various employees.

He had suddenly made many contacts in the company. That's why Ren told him to investigate about it.

And White bear didn't dissapointed him. He was quickly able to get some information about Xiao Rin.

"So, there was only that much information, you were able to find."

"Yeah, apparently that girl name Xiao Rin was pretty good at acting. The instructor I talked with said that she was a hardworking and diligent trainee and she was also close to her debut but she suddenly changed her course."

"Do you find any information about why she did that?"

"Well, I did not find any information about that. The instructor didn't knew much about it and if I am too forceful, he will get suspicious."

Ren nodded his head when he heard that. White bear has already worked hard for his sake.

"By the way, why do you want to know about a trainee?"

White bear asked as he tilted his head. His expression was strange and he was wondering why Ren was suddenly so curious about a trainee.

"Well, I just want to know more about her."

"Ren!! You had just started your career. I know that dating is important but...."

"Wait!! You are wrong."

Ren immediately interrupted White bear when he started saying something strange.

"I am not interested in her in that way. It's something else."

"What?"

White bear was still suspicious of him and Ren didn't knew what to say to him.

"Well, I am trying to help her as an actor. We are both actor, so I am just trying to help her."

"Um, is it just that?"

Although, Ren said tried to convince him several times, White bear was still suspicious.

It was also justifiable. Although they were friends, he was still his manager. If Ren was caught in a dating scandal, it will be detrimental for the both of them.

After finding all the information he could find about Xiao Rin, Ren decided to visit the trainee department himself.

It was the only way to find more information about her.

After the tiring day of practising, the trainees were finally able to go back to their dorms.

As there were only some trainees left in the room, a strange man entered the room.

He was wearing sunglasses and but the trainees could tell that he had a handsome face. He was Ren.

"Excuse me? Can I talk to you for a bit."

"Me?"

Ren said as he pointed to a girl with short hair. She was surprised by his sudden invitation to talk as she fidgeted nervously.

"I just want to ask you something."

Ren said with a serious face and seeing the atmosphere, the remaining trainees left the room one by one.

"Um, what do you want to ask me but first, who are you?"

The girl said with a hint of embarrassment. She was originally a shy type of girl and suddenly, a boy came out of nowhere and started talking to her, she would surely be embarrassed.

"Oh, my name is Xin Ren."

Ren said while taking off his sunglasses and the girl immediately bowed when she knew who he was.

"Ah, um, my name is Cei Xin, it's nice to meet you, senior."

Ren was not surprised by her attitude, he was already familiar with the attitude of trainees in the company.

"It's okay. You don't need to bow. I just want to ask you a question."

"Question? You could ask me anything."

But Ren did not dwell it for any longer. He did not wanted to waste anymore time.

"I wanted to ask about Xiao Rin. You know her, right."

"Ah.…."

Cei Xin was greatly startled when she heard that name come out from his mouth.

"I know you two were in the same class a year ago. I just wanted to know what happened with her."

The reason Ren had chosen to talk with her was obvious, it was because she was in the same class as Xiao Rin when she was in the acting course.

She must know about what happened to her.

"Um, why do you wanted to know about her?"

"I can just say that it isn't for a bad reason. I am just trying to help her."

"Wil, will you really help her?"

"Yeah, I will."

It looks like his sincerity worked as Cei Xin started to open her mouth.

"You wanted to know why she suddenly changed her course to singing, right."

When Ren nodded, the girl started to narrate the whole story.

The story was actually pretty simple. Two years ago when Xiao Rin entered the trainee department, she shocked the acting instructor with her flawless acting.

Every day, she got better and better and the instructor even started to say that she was born for acting but her rising popularity suddenly backlashed.

Someone was jealous of her, she was a senior in the acting department who was very close to her debut but she felt threatened by Xiao Rin.

Her talent became a big headache for her and in that jealously and rage, she started bullying Xiao Rin.

Making her isolated in the class, stealing her clothes, writing abusive words in her bed.

It was just the start of it, the bullying got more and more harsher until Xiao Rin was unable to take it and changed departments.

After hearing the story, Ren thoughts were strange.

"That's ridiculous...she could have complained to the instructor."

"Actually, the senior who bullied her was the niece of a director. That's why despite knowing everything, the instructor just ignored it."

"That's bullshit. How can that happen? That instructor is a bastard."

After hearing about the whole situation, Ren thoughts were in a mess. He felt that the situation was too ridiculous.

He didn't felt that Xiao Rin was bullied, no, it was on the level of harassment.

"Even after changing department, that senior didn't spare Xiao Rin, she instructed all the girls to not to talk with her and Isolated her completely. I had heard rumours that Xiao Rin asked for help from some other instructors but they also did not do anything because of the fear of the director."

'That's why she was avoiding the topic.'

Ren finally realised that Xiao Rin was not just avoiding the topic just because she didn't wanted to talk about it. It was also because of her distrust in people.

Even if I tell them, they will not do anything. That was probably the thought in her mind.

Ren finally understood the matter after knowing the truth. He wanted to swear at that bitch, that bastard director and the instructors who refused to help her.

"Um, will you help her?"

"Huh?"

"I mean, you asked that because you wanted to help her, right?"

Cei Xin asked with a sad voice but there was some hope in her eyes. She was probably hopping for Ren to help Xiao Rin.

"Don't worry, I will surely help her."

Ren had already decided to help her already. He will not back down just because a director is involved in it.

"Really? But why do you want to help her?"

"It's, it is just because I didn't wanted her to waste her talent. She was born for acting, it will be a pity If she got held back because of someone jealously."

Ren didn't knew why he said that at that moment but he just blurted out what came to his mind.

"Huh??"

As they were talking, Cei Xin suddenly made a surprised face as she looked behind Ren.

When Ren turned around to see who it was, he found Xiao Rin standing there with a stiff expression.
