Chapter 49. Discussion

"Why are you here alone? Where's Dong Shu?"

Jiang Wan asked Ren as he entered the room and Ren answered while sipping his coffee.

"He is apparently with the writers of Whiz stars. He said that he was making some connections."

Jiang Wan sighed as he sat down when he heard that.

"At first, I thought that he was just a normal manager. I never realised that he had that much skill. He is making connections pretty quickly."

Ren nodded at his words. White bear was really working hard and his natural skill in socialising is helping him make many connections.

"By the way, I heard that the Whiz stars team was happy with the recording."

"They were?"

It's already been two days since the recording had happened. It's seems like the staff of the show really liked it.

"The director of the show even told me that you were great in the second half of the show. You were better than many rookies."

Ren smiled when he heard that. He was not good at the first half but after he had became comfortable, he was able to give some good answers and his chemistry with the other celebrities was also good.

He even received their private numbers after the show, including the MCs.

"Yeah, the broadcast is next week. I hope it goes well."

Ren sincerely hoped it to go well as his whole family would be watching the show.

It's the first time he had made a TV appearance, so his family was excited because of this.

"Chief, can you tell me what happened to the drama?"

As they were talking, Ren suddenly asked a question he was really curious about.

"Well, we actually received the screenplay from the production of «The stars above»."

"So, what happened? How was the screenplay?"

"It was good."

Jiang Wan said as he leaned against the chair. Hearing his words, a bright smile appeared on Ren's face as he continued to listen.

"Right, I know it was good."

Ren continued nodding his head with a smile as he listened to his words.

"Yeah, Director Zhao even thought that it could at least gain 0.7% to 0.8% in ratings but the CEO had not approved the project yet."

"Huh??"

Ren let out a confused voice when he heard that. Even though Director Zhao and Jiang Wan had liked the project, the CEO has not said anything about it yet.

It was a problem for him if the CEO didn't approved the project soon.

"Why haven't the CEO approved this project yet? "

"Well, actually I don't know but Director Zhao said that he has a meeting with the CEO about it good."

Jiang Wan said as he shrugged his soldiers.

Ren thought in his heart when he heard that. He was hoping that the meeting with the CEO would go well so that he could play the role he wanted to play.

"Do you think this drama will be a big hit?"

The CEO said as she placed the screenplay of «The stars above» on her desk.

She was looking at the screenplay with a strange expression.

"I don't know but the characters are really good and the plot twist are very exciting. I think it can do well."

"But it's a cable network drama."

CEO Xu said as he leaned against the chair. She was making an expression like she was thinking what to do with the screenplay.

"Well, I used my connections and asked SME, the television broadcaster of the drama about the project, they said that it was a project that they think would be their best in the first quarter of the year."

The CEO said as she tilted her head in interest.

"Yeah, although the writer is new, it looks like they had already seen the screenplay of first few episodes and they are satisfied with it and the Director of this drama is a veteran. I think it will do good."

"So, you are saying that we should let him do this project."

Director Zhao blinked his eyes when he heard that and after a while, he said while scratching his head.

"I think we should let him do it. He was young, he can become rebellious if we obstruct him too much and he was pretty excited while talking about this project."

"Really! He was excited about this."

"Yeah, it was almost on the level like he knew that the drama was going to be a big success."

'Like the drama is going to be a big success.' CEO Xu muttered those words as she thought about the 20 year old youth who she find strange.

"What do you think about this?"

"Well, I think he should do this project."

Director Zhao thinking was simple. He didn't wanted to pressure the actors in his team much. He wanted them to take their own decisions.

His department was still growing, so he didn't wanted to take many major steps.

"Well, but he wanted to audition for the male lead, right."

"Yeah, I think it would be hard to convince the production team to cast him as the male lead especially since the drama is more inclined towards the male lead."

"Yeah, it can be problematic."

The male lead isn't only the backbone of the drama, he is also the star power of it.

CEO Xu and Director Zhao was not worried about Ren's acting, they were more worried about whether if the production team will accept him as the male lead since his popularity was still not that high.

The production team would want to cast someone more famous than Ren for the role.

"You mean that..."

"First, the audition, then we will talk more about it."

Director Zhao nearly leaped out of his seat when he heard that. The CEO's words implied that the CEO didn't have any problem with it.

Now, the thing that matters the most was the audition.

"Thank you for this opportunity. Ren will be happy by it."

Director Zhao said as he left the room in a excited mood.

After he left the room, The CEO leaned against the chair as she opened her drawer and pulled out a portfolio.

It was of Ren. While glancing at it, she thought, what will be the future of him.

She felt that the future would be full of surprises and thinking about it, there was a smile on her beautiful face.
