Chapter 59. Favour

Nervous!

That was the feeling Ren was feeling as he stood in the CEO's office. In from of him was CEO Xu, today she was wearing a blue skirt with white top.

She was looking beautiful in it. While leaning back on her leather chair, she was looking at Ren with a interested expression.

Seeing that gaze, Ren was feeling nervous. He didn't knew why it was so but it was the emotion he was feeling at this moment.

Ren felt this every time he saw her, but the CEO was difficult to talk to.

It was not much about her character but more about her atmosphere. Even though she didn't looked overbearing, she was someone with a unique aura.

"It's our third meeting in a while, right."

CEO Xu said as she opened her lips in a curve and Ren replied.

"Yeah, it's the third time."

"Yeah, we have already met quite a few time considering that I don't usually meet with much celebrities."

The CEO went on to have some usual conversation which seemed normal at first but Ren was just replying vaguely.

After a while, the CEO finally moved to the main conversation.

"So, you said that you wanted to ask for the favour I granted you the last time."

"Yeah, I wish to use it."

"What's the thing you want?"

CEO Xu said as she looked at Ren curiously and Ren gulped hearing that.

'Calm down!'

Ren thought inwardly as he starting thinking about what to say.

He stated about how he knew about the role from the CEO of the Arc production and how he thought that Xiao Rin would be good for this role.

He was talking like he was giving a presentation just to make the CEO more interested.

After talking for a while, Ren finally stopped and looked at the CEO.

Her face has a strange look after hearing his explanation. She opened her mouth after a while.

"Is that all? So, you want me to grant Xiao Rin permission for the audition."

"Yeah, that's all."

"Is there nothing else?"

"There's nothing else. I just want her to take the audition for the little sister's character, Yiren."

Ren waited for an answer after saying that. He nervously look at CEO Xu and thought about what kind of answer she would give.

"It's okay. She can take part in the audition."

CEO Xu said deviously and Ren was totally surprised hearing that. He felt that his insides which were churning due to nervousness were blank now.

He even though that he has misheard something. Just as he was about to ask if it was true, CEO Xu again said.

"She can take the audition but why do you want her to take it? I want to know that."

"I thought I already said the reasons."

"Not those reasons. The real reason, you still haven't told me that."

Ren's mind jolted when he heard that. It seems like CEO Xu has seen through him. He again gulped as he thought about what to say.

What was the reason he was pushing Xiao Rin to take the audition?

He himself knew that it just was not because Xiao Rin was good at acting. Ren also knew that he was changing the future more by doing this but he still did that.

Why?

Although Ren had not done anything wrong, he was still feeling responsible as he had changed Xiao Rin's future completely.

He had done so with a good intention and she had also gotten rid of her bullying but it was still the truth that he had changed her future.

It would be all good if she can again become the queen of acting, reaching even higher heights but what if it doesn't happened.

He don't want to think about it but it can still happen. The only thing he was sure about the future that no matter how much one knew it, it can easily become uncertain.

He was worried about that. That's why he had thought about Xiao Rin playing a role in «The stars above».

He was thinking that it would be a good start for her career if she debuted with a hit drama.

That's was the main reason he had pushed her up to gain the audition.

"There's no further reason."

After thinking for a while, Ren decided not to reveal anything. It's not like he didn't want to but he knew it would be a big problem if he did that.

"There's no other reason besides those."

"There isn't."

CEO Xu said as she narrowed her eyes as though she was trying to peer directly into Ren's soul but he was firm and didn't did anything suspicious.

"Okay, then. Xiao Rin can take the audition. I will specially contact Are productions and told them about it. They will give her an audition quickly."

Ren made a bright smile when he heard that. Now with the CEO's support, he was confident that Xiao Rin would have a higher chance of passing the audition.

'Now, I should go back.'

Ren thought as he didn't wanted to take much of the CEO's time but as he was about to excuse himself out of her office, CEO Xu asked him something.

"Do you want think the drama would become a hit?"

"Ah, are you talking about «The stars above»?"

"Yeah."

"As an actor, I think it is a good drama that have the potential to become a hit. It can easily gain….

…"

CEO Xu interrupted him as he was saying that and asked.

"Not that. I want to hear your thoughts about it not as an actor but as a person?"

Ren was surprised by this question but he answered with certainty.

"I think it will be a popular drama that will takeover the other dramas and become a immense hit."

Ren said that as he knew about the future but CEO Xu was slightly surprised when she heard that.

It was the first time she was this surprised as Ren was saying that as though he already knew the results but she quite liked this.

She smiled after a while and said.

"Is that so? Then, do your best to make it happen. I will personally watch all the episodes."

"Ah, I, I will do my best."

Ren was startled when he heard that the CEO will personally watch all the episodes as she was known to be a busy person but Ren didn't thought much about it.

It just gave him more pressure but he felt that he could cope with it.

Either way, his objective was fulfilled now. He had personally gotten permission from the CEO.

Now, Xiao Rin can finally take part in the audition. He felt glad that his efforts have paid off and now, the auditions would show if he was right in his decision or not.
