Chapter 78. Worries

"You are looking sick, CEO Wang."

A producer said towards CEO Wang who was slumped on the sofa with a sick expression on his face.

It was the scene of the CEO office of Arc production. Various papers and files were scattered everywhere in the office.

There were various coffee cups on the ground as if someone had forgotten to throw them out.

"What can I be if not sick. People have been losing interest in the «The stars above»."

"I think that's because most of the people knew about it and many are still waiting for the first broadcast."

The producer said trying to soothe the CEO mind but CEO Wang just looked at him like he was an idiot as he replied.

"What do you think, will people watch a drama filled with top stars and budget or a drama which does not have star power."

"But our drama has been verified by the network and it will at the least be a normal hit."

"Who wants a normal hit. You know out last project badly flunked, if we didn't get a blockbuster this time, we will be in a bind in the upcoming years."

CEO Wang said as he scoffed and the producer face became unsightly when he heard that.

They were talking like that because the interest in «The stars above» is gradually going down the controversy had especially died down.

Although they were happy that the shooting was progressing well, they wanted to divert people's attention towards them.

"What if we created another controversy like Xin Ren and Chen Mei dating?"

"It will not work as Chen Mei is rumoured to go out with many of her co stars and her agency would want to have a gentle image of her and Xin Ren agency would also not agree as he is still a rookie."

"Damn those agencies. Then, can't we do something."

As the producer said that, the door to the office suddenly opened and a PR Team employee entered the room.

"CEO, it looks like there was another article about «The killer» and there was a exclusive interview with the cast of «College dreams»."

"Damn! Why are you making me more angry?"

"It was you CEO who told me to monitor every article about them."

"It was me. Are you sure?"

"Yeah."

The PR Team employee said as he nodded his head and the CEO gestured him to leave the office.

"CEO, I think you should rest for sometime."

"Rest? How can I rest when there is a possibility that «The stars above» will be crushed down because of those two dramas."

"Well, at the moment, we can't do anything about them."

The producer said as he sighed. He was now getting worried about the other two dramas crushing their drama.

He was more worried as it was not a uncommon occurrence in the industry.

As both the dramas they were competing with have better production houses with more connections and a better marketing team, they were more worried.

"Do you think we should create another controversy about Xin Ren?"

CEO Wang suddenly said surprising the producer.

"A controversy? We already talked about the dating controversy."

"Not a dating controversy. Something that will have a good effect on him. Like saying that he donated all his money he received from «Secret spy» to an orphanage or something."

"CEO, I don't think that idea will work as the media is really ruthless these days. We should not make any lies."

The CEO sighed when he heard that. The producer was right, it will be detrimental for the project if the media found out the truth.

He was being reckless in thinking of any ideas and he again slumped down on his sofa when he realised that he can do nothing about this situation.

Although «The stars above» had gotten good public response at first because of Ren's controversy.

He was feeling a bad premonition like «The stars above» will flop or something. He was thinking like that because he didn't knew about the future like Ren.

'I wish something can give a push to the drama.'

CEO Wang silently thought.

"Ren, wake up, Ren. It's already afternoon."

'Ah, what happened?'

Ren suddenly opened his eyes in a hurry as he heard his mother's voice.

He looked around his room and notice that he was in his bed.

"You finally woke up. You told me to wake you up at 2 but I think you should sleep some more."

"No, mother. I should not sleep more."

"But you have only came home in the morning."

Due to his shooting, Ren was at the filming site for the night. These days, he had been continuously coming home at early in the morning or in the middle of the night.

Because of that, he had been a trouble for his mother. He will be more busy in the future and it would also be trouble if the paparazzi came crawling to his house.

That's why Ren was thinking of moving to a apartment close to the Top star entertainment office.

He just had to apply for it in the office and he will get a house of his own for a living.

But it was a thought he was just thinking about currently.

"You are at least free on the new year, right."

His mother said as she looked at him worriedly.

"Yeah, actually we have a break in some days. I should be free then."

"That's good. We were planning on visiting your grandfather's house on new year."

"Are my uncle and aunt also coming?"

"Yeah, they were excited to again meet you. It seems like the kids will surely attack on you when they will see you."

His mother said happily. She was happy that her son was getting more and more famous.

Especially when she talked with his aunt, there would only be praises about him. In this era, being a celebrity was like that, it was a profession that gives a lot of respect and fame.

"Well, but why are there no articles about you and the your drama these days."

His mother suddenly said.

"Well, there would be more articles after its release."

Ren said hiding the truth. His mother didn't knew about the hidden working of the industry, that's why Ren didn't explained to her about it.

"Then, that's okay."

His mother left happily after that but Ren just scratched his head on the bed as he muttered.

"Sorry for lying about it, mother."
