Towards Godhood

Chapter 74 - Towards Jiankang

A week later everything Xiao Fan owned and what his women had now was packed inside the carriages.

Carriages of the Liang Dynasty's that were going to take them out of Hangzhou and towards the Capital of Liang Dynasty, Jiankang.

While Du Lan and Qian Ki were already in the carriage they had chosen for them to travel in, Xiao Fan, himself was still inside the Qian Family compound discussing with the patriarch.

Qian Bai was perhaps for the last time talking with Xiao Fan concerning his daughter's inherently evil practices and what they would mean for his future.

The two of them were standing just inside the main door so that the caravan couldn't hear nor see them talk.

¨I have said this to you so many times, yet every time you say that it will not happen to you¨ Qian Bai was speaking.

Xiao Fan on his side, looking back at him smiling like he had done so many times before when Qian Bai had spoken about this to him.

¨Yes, I don't even get why you always talk about as if it was a trap you want me to avoid¨

Literally, every time Qian Bai had discoursed about the topic of him and Qian Ki, it would come down to Qian Bai almost having such a tone for him to rethink his decision was of critical importance.

¨Of course, of course, I'm trying to change your mind. Although I never vocalised about my wife being a spawn of evil, I still fear her deep down. So here I am trying to tell you that what you are doing is not a sensible idea¨

For why Qian Bai would want to bring up this topic every time he didn't know that even himself. It might be his own experience with Qian Ki's mother or that Xiao Fan unlike him didn't need to have such a political marriage.

Yes, Qian Bai although loved his only wife, it was also a very political move witch sadly didn't pay off.

Hearing this type of explanation that was spoken in such a tone that expressed massive regret of one's decisions, Xiao Fan could discern what Qian Bai was hinting.

To which he could only shake his head.

And while walking away, he spoke the last words they would talk for some time ¨Now that you have finally said out loud what you imply I know that there will be no problems for me with her¨.

Before Qian Bai had thought about his words and could now say something back to him, Xiao Fan was nowhere to near him anymore. The only thing he could see from him was Xiao Fan's back that was visible to him.

But even that soon disappeared into the carriage.

Seeing this, Qian Bai shrugged his shoulders and then turned towards his family compound.

When inside, he went into the room where Qian Ki had lived.

When Qian Bai got into the room that was now mostly emptied of the ¨equipment¨ she had used, he walked to the white bed that was still inside the room.

When he was standing next to the bed, he squatted down, taking a grip of the bed.

Then with the power of his body, lifted the bed up.

Weird in that move was how he was using all of his powers, yet that only seemed to be enough. The bed had been nailed to the ground, with some sturdy nails.

Ripped out of its place, Qian Bai could find a hatch that had nothing keeping it locked, a hatch which Qian Bai opened.

Then taking the last items, Qian Ki hadn't taken, he descended into the hatch lead him.

The first thing down the ladder was for him to light up a candle while murmuring to himself.

¨Boy if you only knew how bad it is¨ He spoke to himself and maybe for someone else as the light from the candle brought light into the room.

The light he had set aflame now showed rows upon rows the same type of ¨equipment¨ that had filled Qian Ki's room.

Qian Bai not bothered by this placed the few items he had come down here onto the racks nicely before walking deeper into the hall.

However, this hall had differences to Qian Ki's room.

As what further he walked, the more sickening the tools came, and at the very end of the hall, living people started appearing.

These people were kept either in cages or bound by collars.

Also to note was that they were in different conditions, some were dead while some still alive if one considered these people as alive.

One might not think these people as alive anymore since when Qian Bai came to one of these people.

The person in question didn't register Qian Bai's hand taking his head into a grip nor how he was then dragged.

Neither was Qian Bai faced by the sound the dragging body or the chains of the collars making noises every time they jiggle against one another.

The sound didn't seem to wake up the other people who were down here either; however, something else did have a reaction to these noises appearing.

The something to respond to this noise began to bang the wooden walls around her.

Knowing what it was Qian Bai wasn't anyhow taken, Qian Bai seemed completely out of it, he didn't react to anything, just did what he did.

What he just did was raising the person in his grip into the air, and then straitening his arm towards the coffin in front of him.

When done so, not thinking nor blinking Qian Bai cut the person throat so that the blood gushing out of it sprayed onto the wooden casket.

The blood flow soon ended, and when it stopped the person in his grip was already dead, so he dropped it on the floor and sat onto a chair next to the coffin.

During the time he had been doing this, the person inside the casket had been banging harder and harder at the walls surrounding her.

The noise made by those bangs was like one waiting for her food.

And while the banging was still going on Qian Bai talked. Talked like one would to the person one shared his or her entire life with.

Talking Qian Bai could see from the corner of his eye how the blood sprayed onto the casket was disappearing.

Even the blood spilt onto the ground was slowly s.u.c.k.e.d towards the casket before it too disappeared, most likely inside of it.

When there was no more blood in the man, the noise inside the coffin mostly stopped.

Still, as Qian Bai spoke some slight scratches and such were coming from inside the casket.

In the end, Qian Bai ended up speaking to the casket for about an hour before leaving the room and taking the now dried up body with him for disposal.

And as he walked out of the room, the people kept in here now behind him ¨Boy if you only knew how bad it is¨ He spoke the same words again.

Meanwhile, the boy in question was already inside the carriage they were journeying on towards the Lian Dynasty.

On his left sitting, there was a silver-haired mischievously acting girl pressing her body against him, then on his right, a woman whose skin and hair was white as snow was likewise pressing on him with her body, though a little more reservedly than the other.

Xiao Fan could only think how good he had things as of right now.

On both sides of him, there was a beautiful girl to call his own, besieging his body.

Moreover, he was now travelling towards a place where he thought that he could grow at astonishing speed for unlike here in Hangzhou where cultivation materials were scarce and highly fought over.

The Liang Dynasty where he was going should have much greener pastures for him who had ample money to spend.

Also soon he would be a landed noble of the state.

And with that came that almost no force could threaten him legally while he could do everything he pleased if not taking account the things that would seriously anger the royal house or a duke.

On the topic of the royal house.

Xiao Fan had heard the story about the current Empress ruling over the dynasty, and although he had one woman hanging to each arm, the rumours about the lady ruler did intrigue him much.

For it was told that the Empress.

Though having years under her had such a body that inside the Liang Dynasty's borders, no second could be found.

The face of this woman was said to be one of the sharp figures that should have been carved by a master sculptor. Done as the crown project of his life, using only the best materials he could have found or purchased.

Pondering about how a woman which such wide known beauty would look like made even him tempted.

However, Xiao Fan thinking about this was noted by the two women, who by now knew his exact heart rates and such, weird as it was true.

Nevertheless, due to that, both women leaning on him could tell that he was thinking no good.

Which prompted both of them not knowing what the other was doing to pinch him on his sides, reminding now to think about other women while having one... two leaning onto his body wasn't that good of an idea.

Getting their message.

Xiao Fan stopped thinking about the woman named Liang Rong and decided to focus on the two women that he had his hands full with right now.

...

They were told by the representative, who was travelling in a different carriage that the ride from Hangzhou to Jiankang would take a few weeks if they met the usual amount of trouble.

There would be trouble, seeing as some parts of the journey would be filled with bandits and rogue cultivators prying on anyone who travelled past them.

This would naturally include the carriages flying the Liang Dynasty flag.

Usually, however, those bandits groups wouldn't stick for long after realising how big the bite was, so it should only take that much time.

Yet what they didn't know was that they had a little more than the usual amount of trouble after them as Han Bai, who hadn't gotten his way with Xiao Fan joining the other dynasty on the Ohin Continent decided to try a different tactic.

This tactic of his was that if the person didn't join the Bald Eagle Dynasty willingly; would that person then join it unwillingly, but there was a problem for him.

The groups that they had been sent here in as diplomat force were, of course, the same size.

So the possibility of kidnapping or winning a confrontation was slight, to say the least.

Despite his starting disadvantage and thanks to them taking a whole week to leave Hangzhou, Han Bai had had sufficient time to talk other groups into it.

The group he had gotten to join his effort was a group pretty familiar to Xiao Fan, and one that worked inside the Bald Eagle Dynasty named the Rising Fox Sect.

So behind Xiao Fan and his group, Han Bai was following them with his entourage of guards, himself, and some women who at the best of times remembered to wear a bra.

For Example, next to Han Bai, there was the leader of the Rising Fox Sect group.

An older woman for sure, but thanks to some sect specialities, she didn't look aged, plus no one wouldn't look at her face for long anyway, at least no straight person could.

Since there was something else that the woman was presenting, presenting very liberally.

Concerning them, let's just say that this woman didn't lack in the thickness department one bit... dam she might as well be the CEO of that department.
