Towards Godhood

When Xiao Fan would wake up, the first thing he would notice was a headache, a major headache at that.

'What the hell happened?' Xiao Fan wondered while looking around the room.

'Huh?' From looking around, he only wondered more, for the room had been cleaned.

However, that notion soon went pass, as it was only expected that the new Meng Chin would have done something while he was sleeping, so he got back to wondering why was he here in the first place.

The last thing he remembered was how from the corner of his eye, he had seen Ye Qi jumping to his face, and how after that, he had been repeatedly hit by someone much stronger than himself.

'Oh shit' Was his next notion as he got concerned that Ye Qi after beating him had gone on a rampage on the two girls.

Realising this might have happened, Xiao Fan got up from the bed he had been laid, and now for the first time, he ran on cleaned floors inside this house.

Of course, he didn't note about this much since he sprinted out of the house his direction the house where Fei Sun lived.

He didn't know any other place, so there it was.

However, just as he had gotten to the moved lawn on the courtyard leading outside, he saw a familiar figure turning around the corner.

¨Zhuan An!¨ He exclaimed at the bobby haired girl who was coming inside the courtyard.

And since Xiao Fan was already at running speed, he quickly came in front of Zhuan An who hadn't yet registered the voice, placing his hands on Zhuan An's shoulders did he then begun to ask questions.

¨What happened? Are you okay? Where is Fei Sun?¨ He bombarded Zhuan An with questions.

Zhuan An had by now registered his voice, but the succeeding things made her surprised before she got everything together.

When she did realise it, she happily spoke back ¨Xiao Fan you're awake¨ Her hands going behind Xiao Fan's back.

Now being tightly hugged by Zhuan An, Xiao Fan noticing she didn't get his question asked again ¨Is everything okay?¨

To which he heard a mumbling from his c.h.e.s.t that spoke in the lines of ¨Yes now everything is okay¨ Coming from the girl.

Easing Xiao Fan's suspicions that had something happened to the girls, and now knowing everything was alright, he hugged the girl back.

A moment of hugging went on before a third voice spoke ¨So nothing for me?¨

Xiao Fan hearing this voice looked upwards and just under the gate there was another girl.

However, Xiao Fan didn't recognise her.

Making their eye contact a little awkward as Xiao Fan was trying to figure who the girl was.

Of course, Xiao Fan first thought it was Fei Sun, but didn't say anything as he didn't want to be incorrect.

¨What?¨ The woman spoke again when seeing that Xiao Fan wasn't saying nor doing anything else than looking at her weirdly.

'Cao Cao!' Xiao Fan not knowing the woman's name for sure, decided to see if he could cheat a little.

¨What is it?¨ Came a voice, while Cao Cao descended to the plane that Xiao Fan was in.

'Is she Fei Sun' Xiao Fan asked while still staring at the girl.

Cao Cao looked at who Xiao Fan was looking. Yep, that's Fei Sun, he confirmed, but already understanding what this was about, he didn't say so.

¨Nope, that girl is not Fei Sun¨ Cao Cao spoke before hiding his presence from Xiao Fan's eyes.

¨Do I know you?¨ Xiao Fan now spoke to Fei Sun.

Who unsuspectedly wasn't too happy about Xiao Fan not remembering.

Luckily however knowing that Xiao Fan might have memory loss Fei Sun wasn't mad.

¨I see, you still remember Zhuan An, but not the other wife of your's¨ She spoke.

'What she was Fei Sun?' Xiao Fan thought.

Seeing Xiao Fan become even more confused Fei Sun spoke ¨The name Fei Sun ring you any bells?¨

Xiao Fan before answering this ended the hug with Zhuan An ¨Of course I remember your name, yet I couldn't connect it with your... body?¨

¨It's understandable that you don't remember everything after that beating you got¨ Fei Sun being sensible spoke back.

¨Thank you for standing up for us against that maggot Ye Qi¨ Zhuan An commented after Fei Sun's line.

¨There would have been no fight if he hadn't said anything ¨ Fei Sun corrected.

Fei Sun was correct, yet Zhuan An didn't listen to her opinion much, preferring her thinking where Xiao Fan was the white knight.

¨Well, I couldn't stay there and listen him say things like that to you¨ Xiao Fan defended himself.

¨So you preferred to be a punching bag? Next time at least know the puncher's cultivation level¨ Fei Sun remarked.

What could Xiao Fan say to that? He had truly just gone in on the guy because he lost his nerves.

¨Right¨ He said in a low voice that verified Fei Sun being in the right.

¨Well, that is in the past. Now we need to think about how we move forward from this¨ Fei Sun said while walking past the two of them towards Meng Chin's house.

Whereas the left behind two watched for a moment before Zhuan An took Xiao Fan's hand, after which they walked back inside.

When walking in with Zhuan An, Xiao Fan saw how the place had been actually cleaned. During his panic where he had been running outside to see how the girls were doing, he hadn't noted this.

But now having no distractions, he could see how the floors had been cleaned so that they shined while there was no dust to be seen on any counter nor beam.

'If Meng Chin did all this herself, I need to reward her' Xiao Fan began to wonder before the girl who always had an answer cleared his mind.

¨In the two days you have been unconscious Meng Chin had cleaned the whole place¨ Zhuan An spoke eagerly; she always seemed to know what was he thinking about, even in the cases where he hadn't spoken.

¨Where is she currently?¨ Xiao Fan wanted to ask more, but before doing so, he asked where the person in question was.

¨Elder Meng is either in the enforcement hall or the market. Why you ask?¨ She spoke after a moment of thinking.

¨Just asking. Why would she be in the enforcement hall?¨ Xiao Fan wanted to know if she was here or not, but after hearing the enforcement hall, he also wanted to know why she would be there?

¨Of course because of you¨ Zhuan An spoke.

¨Me? Because of the fight?¨

¨Yup; and if I'm honest things aren't going that well¨ She spoke. In a guilty tone?

Why would she blame herself for his case? Xiao Fan thought and wanted to correct her thinking.

¨Like Fei Sun said it's all my fault for getting beaten. You don't need to blame yourself¨ He comforted her before asking about the other thing.

¨On the other hand, what isn't going that well?¨ Was there some problem in the enforcement hall?

¨The person named Ye Qi although not a big thing in terms of cultivation is still a member of the Ye Family¨ Zhuan An spoke.

¨And?¨ Xiao Fan spoke after Zhuan An had stopped talking when they had come into a tea room or something.

However, Fei Sun would continue explaining ¨The Ye Family is one of the prominent families in the Rising Fox Sect. They have enough capital to make Ye Qi be the victim¨

¨Meng Chin has been going to the enforcement hall to speak for you a couple of times. However, as you are still a stranger and not even a member of the sect, it's hard to defend you¨

¨The sect comes first¨ Zhuan An added into the end of Fei Sun's explanation.

¨I see, so currently I'm being held accountable to getting beaten?¨ Xiao Fan wanted to laugh.

¨They are saying that you started the fight¨ Fei Sun spoke.

¨I started the fight?¨ Xiao Fan asked appalled.

¨Of course you didn't, but currently, it is mine and Zhuan An's words against all of his friends¨

¨So the decision will be based on sect politics and such?¨

To this, both of the girls nodded.

¨Then what can we do?¨ Xiao Fan was alarmed about this and reasonably wanted to do something to prevent him from being punished.

¨First of all you need to recover¨ Zhuan An said, though her idea didn't fly well with Fei Sun.

After Fei Sun saying so, the two girls looked at each other for a moment, each wanting to sway the other's opinion.

Feeling that they weren't on the best of terms, Xiao Fan decided to speak for himself.

In a very political way ¨I appreciate both of your opinions. And taking both of them into consideration, I have thought of something that will surely please both of you¨

Hearing Xiao Fan speak, Zhuan An stopped the staring contest to listen, and her doing so also got Fei Sun's attention to what he was saying.

Getting them both to look at him Xiao Fan started by saying ¨You know who I am?¨

¨Hubby¨ Said Zhuan An immediately.

¨Xiao Fan¨ Fei Sun said indifferently.

The thing Xiao Fan was about to say after this didn't come out as he stared at Zhuan An.

¨You called him hubby?¨Fei Sun, who was now staring at her, spoke.

Zhuan An recognising that this one might have slipped, took her eyes off Xiao Fan and begun nervously looking at the table they had been gathering around.

Xiao Fan seeing that Zhuan An had indeed maybe slipped a few words out of her mouth rose up from his chair and walked behind the girl in question.

Getting behind her and while placing his hands on her shoulders spoke ¨I liked it¨

But no response came, Xiao Fan only felt a shudder run through her body while at the same time Fei Sun, who was on the opposite side of the table could see Zhuan An's facial expression.

They stayed like that, awkwardly for a while before Xiao Fan realised that Zhuan An wouldn't be saying anything.

Understanding that maybe she, for now, wanted to bury this down, Xiao Fan moved back to his old spot and begun speaking again.

¨Yes as you know, I'm Xiao Fan, also known as the person who created Greenheart mix. Keeping this in mind, I ask you do you think I can only concoct one potion?¨ Xiao Fan was now speaking with his normal tone.

Then looking only at Fei Sun Xiao Fan waited for a response to his question.

¨No?¨ Was the answer that Xiao Fan got and rolled with.

¨Correct, I do have some other stuff that will make me healed up in a couple of days¨ He proudly spoke.

Indeed he did do, and even without needing to do some sect passing tests, he would have concocted them because the headache was too much for him to wait for the passing of it naturally.

Fei Sun hearing that Xiao Fan had methods to cure even the most serious of head injuries in days was for once excited.

¨You really know even something like that?¨ Although potions that could do that weren't on the level of Greenheart mix did they still require recipes that even the Rising Fox Sect didn't have.

And those places that had them? They would also need to have the second requirement of someone being able to concoct them.

But now Xiao Fan the man who didn't know how to squat somehow knew a recipe and furthermore he wasn't scared of attempting to concoct it.

¨Why do you think so lowly of me? The old masters don't call me a medical field prodigy for no reason¨ He boasted his skills in reading a book that made him remember everything.

Giving Xiao Fan his due credit Fei Sun didn't doubt more but asked another important question ¨How much will the expenses for making such a potion be?¨

¨Like I know¨ Xiao Fan shrugged his shoulders ¨I know how to do one however I have never made one or looked at the herb prizes¨
