Twenty Seven Years

Chapter 26: untitled

  Chapter 26 Untitled

Villac opened the first chapter of "On Equality": Understanding Inequality.

【In today's society, no matter how you look at it, there is no other foundation except the creed of equality. But that doesn't stop us from arguing that inequality still reigns supreme. (Note: 1)]

【Inequality is an eternal feature of human society, but the 'contract' between the ruler and the ruled should be rethought. The government should not only protect the wealth and rights of the few, but should focus on the rights and equality of everyone. (Note: 2)]

【One of Pluman's philosophers once said that the present, born of the past, breeds a great future. Francis and I also agree that only by knowing the past can we change the present and influence the future. So when talking about what equality is, we must first go back to the past and understand what inequality is... (Note: 3)]

Compared with the other books in Chris's bedroom, this book is not obscure. It frequently quotes classics and uses plain words to describe what real equality is, and criticizes the Republic of Bresci and the whole world of various diseases.

Concentrating on reading the content of the first chapter, Verak let out a long sigh of relief, rubbed his sore eyes, and looked up at the time. Unexpectedly, two hours had passed.

The content of the first chapter is not too much. It took so long to read it, and Veraker was quite surprised.

After reading it, he couldn't calm down for a long time. Some things were answered, and some things extended to bigger questions. He didn't know whether he was clear or even less clear.

In any case, today’s study of "The Theory of Equality" ends here, and we will go out tomorrow night. If Verac wants to be fully prepared, he must absorb information strictly according to his own priorities.

Enduring his growing curiosity, he put away "Theory of Equality" and took out the list book.

In the morning, he has screened out the first group of qualified members who need to be understood from the list. What he needs to do now is to conduct further screening, divide these people into grades, and conduct different degrees of understanding according to their grades.

After finishing this job, it was less than half an hour before dinner began. Verak chose to take a rest and continue the follow-up work after dinner.

In fact, for Veraker, rest just means not receiving new information, and he will keep trying to figure out and memorize the existing things in his mind.

Seventeen people were selected in the second round. These seventeen people are all people who theoretically have a deep connection with Verak in the rebel organization. Verak must understand all of these seventeen people within his own ability.

This is not easy, after all, there are only their photos, names, identities on the surface, and positions in the rebel organization on the list.

What Veraker has to do is adapt to the situation.

"Ah..." Verak came to the window, trying to clear his mind and let himself relax for a while.

The intricate situation and the ensuing challenges are testing Verak every minute and every second. He had to rely on his only dim and shining two-month experience in twenty-six years to deal with big consortiums and rebel organizations.

"What a gamble." Verak grinned and chuckled.

He knew that he was doing something that was almost impossible to accomplish, but this thing made his life burst out with greater value. Even if he is about to die now, there will be four more words recorded in the history books: jumping beam clown.

   Enough.

There was a knock on the door, and the servant told Verak to go down to have dinner.

Verak, who had just been vacant in front of the window for less than a minute, shrugged helplessly, turned around, opened the door and went downstairs.

Carmine and Meera are back, and Fletcher is on the sidelines.

"Father, mother, sister, Julia." Verac greeted the Thomas family and sat down for dinner.

"Chris." Carmine unexpectedly spoke to Veraker for the first time before the meal.

   "Father." Verak agreed.

"You've almost recovered from your illness, so prepare to go to work in the next few days." Carmine said.

Verak concealed his joy and said calmly: "Understood, father."

The time for free activities in this life was half a month earlier than in the previous life. This is also due to the rapid learning progress of Verak, who has already met the requirements.

"Father, how is the matter resolved?" During the meal, Kellerman asked Carmine.

Verak pretended to be nonchalant and continued to eat, but his attention was already on Carmine.

"I have asked someone to strengthen the security of the mansion, and you will have bodyguards accompanying you when you travel in the future." Carmine said.

Chris and the rebel organization are too sensitive. Although the Thomas family has a wide network of connections, they are also dumb and eat coptis. They dare not ask for help directly. They can only work **** security to prevent the rebel organization.

   This is good news.

Originally, Verac was a little worried that Carmine would do something beyond his control because Dempsey was assassinated and his files were stolen. Now it seems that what he did is still within Carmine's tolerance.

After dinner, Fletcher just came to tell Veraker to continue studying hard and left.

Because the recent troubles have attracted too much attention, and Verac himself has imitated Chris very much, Fletcher has loosened his control recently.

Finally, the most difficult period was passed. After the rain, Verac felt much happier. In the evening, he flipped through the plan written by Chris before his death.

Chris still keeps a low profile for the rebel organization's plan for the next stage.

He is very self-aware, knowing that confronting the entire country with their current strength is tantamount to striking a stone with a pebble, and resisting Bresci so blatantly and aggressively like Francis will only usher in more violent suppression.

The best way now is to slowly pass on their ideas to more people, spreading out from Lezein, spreading to the whole country of Bresci, and spreading to the whole world.

After getting more and more people's recognition, they have the confidence to try to influence and change the country.

This is a very long process, but it is also the most promising path.

Verak agrees with Chris's development strategy, and feels that there is no need to mix his own humble opinion into it. When the time comes to meet the members of the rebel organization and talk about future development, it is good to make arrangements based on this as the core development policy.
