Uchiha's Butterfly

Kaname's eyes were swimming, she couldn't keep hold of her concentration, she saw Anko bandaging her arm and leg, Anko was speaking something but with this loud ringing in her head, she couldn't understand her.

"*sniff* Jiraya-sama, there is so much blood, Kana-chan is on the verge of losing her consciousness. What should I do?!"

"Shit, we're only halfway there…" said Jiraya, a second later he fastly knitted a new plan, after using a summoning jutsu from a smoke cloud came a small toad.

"Ken! Reverse summon Minato asap, tell him I need him here! Say it's life and death situation and his speed is needed, I have one of his kunais with me."

"Roger! I'm sorry I'm so slow." small magenta-colored toad said and disappeared with a *puff*.

Kaname thought she was dreaming, she was watching their trip from the top of a toad when from a flash of yellow light came Minato-san looking around for enemies.

"Is that Kana-chan?! What happened?! No, it doesn't matter, let me take her to the hospital!" he said taking hold of bloodied Kaname's body and flashing away from the toads head.

"Will he get to the hospital in time Jiraya-sama? And what was that flashing yellow light?"

"Hahaha, Don't worry Anko-chan, I'm pretty sure Kana-chan is already there."

"WHAT?! HOW?!"

"This was my student, how to say it… he broke the secrets of instant teleportation. The first time we did a spar with his jutsu the only thing on my mind was where to hide from the onslaught, Hahaha. Let's go back and regroup with her team." proudly replied Jiraya.

Kaname woke up with sounds of someone snoring and light beeping of medical instruments. With a small groan, she raised her head and opened her eyes, next to her hospital bed slept her captain his right hand in a sling, from the window she saw a small glimpse of the moon.

'Damn! If I only had some kind of marker here!'

"Ino-*cough*" she wanted to thank her captain, but violent coughing induced by a dry throat stopped her.

"Kana-chan! Thank god you're alright! Give me a second I will get you some water" he said leaving her room and coming back before the doors fully closed behind him.

"Thank you. How long was I out?" Kaname said after downing the entire cup of water.

"We were hit hard, but you suffered the most grievous wounds, Anko-chan and Jiraya-san tried to get you to the hospital, but you lost almost half of the blood in your body. With help from Minato-san, they barely got you to the hospital in time. I heard from the doctor your heart stopped beating for fifteen seconds, but luckily they brought you back. You stayed in an induced coma for 3 days, but damn… Just now I understood if you died your mother would paint Konoha with my blood… Good to have you back. Tomorrow I will bring Hokage-sama here, think you can give us a report of your fight?"

"What about Maki-chan and Takeshi-kun?" Kaname was still worried about her friends.

"They're good now, both had symptoms of chakra exhaustion and couple gashes, some bruises, nothing major. I couldn't tear them off from your bed for 2 days, but the biggest pain in the a.s.s was Anko-chan, see those bite marks on the door frame? "Hehe" Kaname laughed scratching the back of her head, "I thought the previous owner didn't exactly need it being dead and all that. Hmm, why am I so cool with it? Wait, why I was so calm during the ambush?" she asked, her face perplexed.

"This is what a ninja academy does with kids. You were training, doing spars, getting ready to kill for your survival, your own body subconsciously calmed itself down getting ready for a fight. I'm really proud of you, surviving against an ambush of enemy's team single-handedly is a hard accomplishment, now for the bad news. I heard from Mikoto-san that Uchiha Elder Council is outraged that a single genin from their prestigious clan was almost defeated by a team of clanless genins, of course, my report telling about Fūma clan members was overlooked. Mikoto-san will come early morning again, you should talk with her about it."

"That wasn't a genin team, the one that battered me so much was a chūnin, by the way, mid-fight I was able to activate my clan's dōjutsu, it saved my a.s.s, hahaha-" Kaname laughed seeing her normally assertive and collected captain with a dropped jaw. With Kaname sending some chakra to her eyes, they turned blood red, a single black tomoe was present on each eye. With an upgraded sight, she saw blonde's jaw drop just subtly lower.

"Wow! I know Maki-chan and Takeru-kun fought against a chūnin, but they couldn't defeat him until one of Jiraya's-san giant toads came with help. Now I'm extremely proud of you, hehe, just wait till I meet with Shika and Chōza. Kaname woke up when someone softly called her name, slowly opening her eyes she saw her dark-haired foster aunt.

"How are you doing Kana-chan? I brought you some water." Mikoto said with a smile on her face.

"Hi aunty… I missed you." Kaname replied only to be met with a hug.

"Shh, everything is okay, you did an amazing job out there." Uchiha matriarch whispered to Kaname's ear. From the corner of the young girl's eye, a single tear dropped. After a minute of hugging Kaname calmed down.

"Thank you, aunty, I think I needed that. Now what are those old fossils in our clan are planning?"

"I'm not sure, I tried to fish for information from Fugaku-kun, but with no luck. I'm pretty sure it's an act of petty revenge against your family, mostly against your mother. The fools think her behavior is harming the Uchiha clan's image - like it could get any worse. They can't target your mother, so they will target someone else close to her, now as you were wounded on your first mission they think you are weak."

"Can you tell them to piss off? I fought in an ambush against a chūnin with his team, but in the prestigious eyes of those fools, that never went outside of Konoha, it's not good enough for a fresh genin to barely survive the fight against an experienced ninja *sigh*." said an angry Kaname.

"Yeah, I heard about it from Inoichi-san. I will try to talk to Fugaku-kun, but I can't promise you anything, most likely those old fools will assume you're lying. You should hear something my late mother said: "Our clan is insane Mikoto-chan; everything others would deem perfect, in Uchiha clan is barely passable. So everything you do, do it to perfection and then go beyond that." Enough bad topics, I heard you awakened your Sharingan, I hope you don't feel any pain or disorientation with its activation?"

Kaname sent chakra to her eyes, with them she started counting the number of eyelashes in her aunty's left bottom lash line, she stopped at counting to 80.

"Wow not bad, it's rare, but not unique. It shows the most in the main-family, or in those that have a lot of talent, other clansmen show those power when they get to the third tomoe. When you're out of the hospital I will help you with training it, now I think we should let Maki-chan in before she breaks that window." she finished with finger-pointing outside Kaname's room. On the other side of the window was Maki, trying hard to open the window to the room without much success.
