"Okay, enough dilly-dallying, get up, its time for your first mission, I heard Hokage-sama specially chose the one for Team 7" Kaname ordered the trio lying on the ground.

"How…*Wheeze* How are you still standing?"

"Koji-chan, that wasn't even my daily light training." she bragged.

"You… are clearly not human Kaname-sensei" the girl breathed out.

"Affirmative"

"You will get used to this, the old man is waiting for us"

"Devil!"

"Less yapping, more actions Team 7"

Thirty minutes later with the kids shuffling with their legs, the team reached the Hokage's Office.

"Hmm, it's weird coming from this side… Hi Jiji, Team 7 reporting for the duty!"

"Hello Team 7, and it is even weirder seeing you walking through the doors Kana-chan. What have you done with them?" Hokage asked pointing at the genins.

"A little warmup to start the day off right. Now, is Raion-sama's sister-in-law still in Konoha?"

"Heh, you know how it is Kana-chan, she leaves a good penny for the village, and will not depart without her little monster"

"Anbu?" she asked.

"They successfully infiltrated and unleashed the beast, are you sure Team 7 can catch it? They look tired" In response, Kaname only winked at the Hokage.

"So what do you think Team 7, are you up for catching the beast roaming around Konoha? It's your first potential mission" their sensei asked.

"If you want to rest I can offer you a mission requesting the help with painting the fences of Konoha Hot Springs"

"It sounds boring as hell Jiji"

"I agree with Koji, I did not become a ninja to paint freaking fences!" Izumi shouted out while Torune nodded his head in agreement.

"Heh, you will regret that" Kaname murmured.

"Team 7, your mission is to find the Daimyo's sister-in-law cat, it's on the run. I won't say what would happen if the animal was wounded in any way, so stay your hand and don't do anything rash. The cat has brown fur and a red ribbon around her right ear" Hokage explained.

"A cat?" The trio asked perplexed.

"What did you expect from a D-rank, kids? I will help you with those papers Jiji, your office starts to flood in them again. Hmm, knowing you three as much as I do already, I will send a clone to stop you from butchering the cat. My clone will not help you, it will be there just to oversee, is that understood?"

"What do you mean butcher? Why would we kill an animal?"

"You will see why in a couple of minutes Izumi-chan. Now go." Kaname created a clone and sent it with them, "Ah, Kana-1 don't forget about photos, eventually they will become invaluable blackmail material!" she shouted after her clone.

"Never change Kana-chan"

"I have got a problem Jiji" Kaname gave him the first doc.u.ment from the pile.

"Hm?" after carefully reading it, he stamped the request with his seal.

"It's about Koji-chan, while two of his other teammates have their own set of problems, Koji-chan's situation is weirder. While he isn't the cream of the crop, he wasn't bad neither at taijutsu nor ninjutsu. I read that he was a prodigy, but his evaluation started dropping after the first semester. Did anything happened to him in your clan or his family?" she delivered other sets of doc.u.ments for stamping.

"I'm sorry, Kana-chan. Truly, I do not know, as you read from his academy report he just stopped caring about his grades. Koji-kun is the only child of a normal shinobi family, his mother works in the hospital, his father attained the rank of chūnin fifteen years back."

"Hmm, what about grandparents, maybe someone close to him died?"

"His grandmother died before he was born, I'm a friend with his grandfather from young, stubborn as a mule that one, he is an elder in my clan" he reminisced.

"*Sigh* I will need to talk with Koji-chan's parents tomorrow"

"I wouldn't worry too much Kana-chan, most likely with you as his teacher, Koji-kun will only get better. In truth, from this year's batch, your team seems the most confident in their skills."

"Thanks, Jiji. I observed my team. Koji-chan is only acting confident, whenever it counts he looks for a way to hide or run. That's why I'm worried about him."

"Do you still feel inadequate for the jōnin-sensei position Kana-chan?"

She replied with a small nod.

"Hehe, you shouldn't be, your last sentence gave me all the proofs saying you are an amazing person and teacher. Don't worry so much, and if you have any problems, just ask me or Sachi-san. Your mother trained one of the most known kunoichi's teams in the Elemental Nations"

"I think I will. Thanks again Jiji"

"Not a problem, that's why I'm here. Now, what about the back massage? You are good at it Kana-chan, after your first massage the ache in my back vanished for some time"

"Old codger, you said it only to get a massage?"

"Heh, I always repeat that I'm too old for this shit…"

Thirty minutes later Kaname was sitting in The Boss chair with Hokage sleeping calmly on a sofa. Her daydreaming was interrupted by a guest coming from the window.

"*MEEOOW*"

"Ah, now I know why Jiji doesn't like someone showing up from the window. Little Tora-chan, you scared the shit out of me, what are you doing here?" She asked patting her l.a.p for the cat to jump on it.

"*MEOW*" Tora jumped on the l.a.p of her own personal and tranquil scratch-giver in the entire village.

"Guh, you got big" Kaname petted the cat between her eyes.

"*Purrrrr*"

At this moment her clone dispelled giving her all the memories of what happened.

"Pft… Let's wait for your pursuers Tora-chan" Kaname scratched the cat's under the chin.

The peacefulness was interrupted by the sound loud thumping of three pairs of feet running on the other side of the doors. Soon three genins barged into the office, looking wide-eyed at their sensei.

"Hello, my little minions..." Kaname greeted them with a menacing voice, petting the cat sitting on her l.a.p.

"*Purrr*"

"Don't look at me like that minion-one, it's not my fault Tora-chan came to me. I'm just a natural magnet for animals"

"I attest to that" Torune calmly acknowledged, hiding his scratched hands behind his back.

"Who are you calling a minion?! You watched to many movies sensei, and why are you sitting in Hokage's seat while Jiji sleeps on the sofa?" Izumi's face had six deep red crossing slashes on her face.

"Don't worry about that minion-one, Hokage is just old"

"Here kitty-kitty, I have a dull kunai prepared to skin your ass" Izumi called out to the cat with a fake smile on her face.

"Hahaha, Izumi-chan is it just me or the cat looks scornful at you"

"Hmph, the feeling is mutual Koji-baka"

"Okay, my little minions, I will wake up the geezer and finish the mission, no bickering."

"*Yawn* Thanks Kana-chan. Did I sleep long?"

"Ten minutes or so, I allowed myself to stamp the unimportant doc.u.ments, they are on the right to see through for you, the rest I sorted out with the most urging ones on the top"

"Thanks… Oh, is that Tora? I see your team made a marvelous job. Good job genins"

"Cat caught itself by jumping in your office, Hokage-sama" Torune bowed his head.

"Unintentionally but you finished your first mission, the bill is on me"

"What bill sensei?" Koji asked.

"Follow me" Kaname winked at the kids.

"Goodbye, Hokage-sama"

"See you Jiji"

"At least you have one ninja with a good head on his shoulders Kana-chan, why won't you take an example of Torune-kun?" he murmured under his breath.

"Normally I would take you to the restaurant, but as it is your first time completing the mission I thought of something better" Kaname led them towards the center of Konoha.

"I'm too young Kaname-sensei" Koji replied bashfully.

"Get your head out of the gutter Koji-chan, or maybe you want to sponsor us?"

"Where are you taking us Kaname-sensei?"

"See for yourself Torune-chan, we are already here"

"Eh? A blacksmith?" Izumi asked.

"Yeah, for now, you will stay with the D-ranked missions, but it's best to start the training early with your new weapons" Kaname led them inside.

"Hi, Tetsuo-san! How are you?" she noticed the burly man polishing a blade behind the counter.

"Oh Kana-chan, good that you are here! Tenten-chan's body developed a red rash all over her skin, I'm worried it might be something bad"

"Okay, lead me to her. Wait... Izumi-chan, follow me, it's time for you to learn a thing or two" she ordered.

"Me?"

"And who is the self-proclaimed 'support medic of the team'? Yes you, come on!"

Kaname entered the little girl's room, instead of the pink walls she saw a collection of weapons being displayed.

"Hi, Tenten-chan, I heard from your daddy you got ill, is anything hurting you?" Kaname asked.

"Eh, Aunty?! I'm… good, I just need to scratch my back from time to time" Tenten replied shocked seeing her role model kunoichi.

"Good, I would like for my student to examine you, just to be certain, okay Tenten-chan?"

"Sure?"

"Okay, Izumi-chan, it's your first live human, do whatever is necessary," Kaname whispered to the girl standing next to her.

"I know only the theory! Are you sure it's safe Kaname-sensei? The disease could be highly contagious"

"I believe I know what does Tenten-chan has, it should be safe for you"

"*Sigh* Okay… Nice to meet you Tenten-chan, I'm Izumi"

"Hello Izumi-neesan"

"Can you show me the skin on your back?"

"Sure" the girl with two buns in her hair pulled her pajama up.

"Hmm, the back is covered by the red rash. Tenten-chan have you got a fever, is anything hurting you right now?"

"A little"

"Kaname-sensei, could it be measles?" Izumi asked.

"Yeah, it is resembling measles. But you forgot about two things"

"Yes?"

"Firstly you could use <Diagnosis Jutsu> to check the temperature of your patient and check the sources of her pain. Secondly, if it was measles I would call for an Anbu team to quarantine this place up, surely not let you get close to the infected."

"Ah! It's just rubella isn't it?"

"Ding-ding-ding… Tenten-chan's rash is too vague, you couldn't have known that but I was here two days ago, and our little weapon mistress did not have any blemish on her skin. It's too fast for measles. I will prescribe some ointment, it should clear everything out nicely."

"*Sigh* Tenten-chan what did I say about playing with sharp blades?" Kaname asked.

"Sorry, Aunty. I promise I will ask my papa to watch over me next time!"

"Next time? Kaname-sensei, shouldn't we… I don't know, somehow limit her exposure to the weapons?"

"Impossible, I tried… Tenten-chan, stay in bed for two days or I won't come back here to play with you, is that understood?"

"Yes, Aunty!" the girl jumped back on her bed.

"Good, bye for now. Izumi-chan go wash your hands, I will wait for you downstairs"

"Kana-chan, so what is it?"

"Nothing dangerous, just a three-day rash, I will give you the prescription for the ointment"

"Phew, thank you. Now, are you here for your sword?"

"Yes, and for my students to chose their weapons. So Torune-chan and Koji-chan do you have any preference?"

"I never used one, but most of my clan uses the staves as weapons"

"Me neither, I'm adverse to use a blade in my fighting"

"Let's start with you Torune-chan, all those traps from yesterday were yours, right?"

"Yes"

"How much Wire Strings have you got Tetsuo-san?" she asked smirking towards the man

"Hehe, enough to feed the requests from Anbu triple times over and some"

"Wire Strings? I'm, not against the idea" Torune replied after some thought.

"Okay. Now what to do with you… Have you got any staves here Tetsuo-san?"

"Kaname-sensei, I'm back!" Izumi walked down the stairs.

"I saw one weapon that interested me," Koji said.

"Hmm?"

"A three-section-staff up there" he pointed at the top shelf.

"It's a weapon for a close-range fighter, are you sure about that?"

"Yes sensei, Toru is fighting in mid to long-range, Izumi-chan is a mid-range fighter. We need someone to be their shield"

"*Sigh* You had to look at the highest shelf didn't you, whatever, I promised"

"Now what do you think about yourself Izumi-chan?" she asked while Koji started to flail his new staff.

"I have no idea Kaname-sensei"

"As an Uchiha, you will be safe in CQC with just a kunai, but you lack the chakra reserves for long-distance combat. Ah right, with the Sharingan, it would be overpowered. Izumi-chan it's overlooked by many, but how do you feel about bowmanship?" Kaname asked after a long thought.

"A bow?"

"Imagine, with your eyes, you could predict the movement of your enemy and zoom on his location at any given time. With practice, you could kill, almost, anyone efficiently with a single silent shot of an arrow to the neck. Even if your enemy somehow discovers you, he would have to barge through the rain of deadly aimed arrows, after which they would have to fight an Uchiha in close combat"

"Hehehe I like the sound of that" the girl acknowledged with a massive grin on her face.

"Kana-chan, would you like to work here? Your bullshiting skills are amazing"

"Hehe, thanks Tetsuo-san, but I have to take care of these three"

"Ah, right. Your sword, luckily you brought me your old broken one. The blacksmiths from the Iron Country have marvelous ideas with their work, luckily I was able to recreate their technique, it was hard to put Soshu Kitae (seven different layers) into a sword this length. Why did you ask me to weaken the tang by contracting the bottom of it I have no idea." He took out a glossy-black sheath with a small white-red Uchiha symbol on its side.

"If my research goes well, you will get an idea of why I asked you to do that in a couple of years" She received the blade and slowly took it out by a black-red handle with a small hole on its bottom, "You created a beauty Tetsuo-san, hmm, a perfect balance,"

Kaname marveled upon her new weapon, perfectly round black guard with golden depictions of a flying roost of butterflies. She admired the polishing and the blade pattern (hamon) of calm waves going all the way to the top of her blade. The mat finishing of the dark, blunt side of the blade made the lines even more pronounced. Her eyes stopped at the golden metal encircling the base of her blade (habaki), on one side there was a carved depiction of her clan symbol on the other Tetsuo engraved a butterfly.

"I had to do some work to balance it out, because of your demands the tang does not balance the weight of the blade, that's why the habaki is made from an alloy of lead and iron. As you requested I gave the sword a false edge point, it's the first time I did it on a blade this big. Are you going to throw your katana at your enemies?"

"Heh, I can't say yet Tetsuo-san. So how much for everything?" When the man spoke his price, from behind Kaname's back came a loud sound of someone slipping up.

"You can buy a small-mansion for that! Are you sure you want to buy us the weapons sensei?" Izumi looked astonished.

"My dear Izumi-chan, maybe in a couple of years you will understand that the life of a jōnin is full of dangerous missions and full pockets, I have enough money to live lavishly for three lifetimes, I have got a sugar daddy high in the food chain. And most of the costs are from my personal order, don't worry."

"So. Are we going to talk about the fact that sensei called the Hokage her sugar daddy? No? Okay then…" Koji stated in a bit of stress-relief.

"You do not know but for the last 4 years I'm constantly on a double S rank mission, the money is no problem for me" Kaname replied, paying the blacksmith for all the weapons.

"You mean Naru-chan?" Izumi asked.

"Yep, now go home. Tomorrow we will start your training for real"

"Thank you sensei" Torune bowed his head in his hand a bag full of rolls of ninja string.

"Yeah, thanks" Koji scratched his head unsure how to act.

"Just don't break anything at home Koji-chan."

"Hehe~, I can't wait to learn a thing or two. See you tomorrow sensei and thanks!"

"You're welcome, bye" Kaname flickered away holding her new sword hidden in the sheath.

'If Minato-san could use the seals with his kunais, then I'm sure that chakra metal as the core of the blade will work even better, so many possibilities, maybe I can release jutsus using my sword... Good that I have now a perfect spot to put a seal into the blade, so much research to do, heh…' She thought while looking at the drilled hole of the handle showing off a hidden portion of the tang.

Thirty minutes later Kaname walked towards the hospital.

"Hi little Butterfly, why are you here?"

"Hi mom, I just wanted to help you"

"Alright, what is going on. I appreciate the help, but there is something you want to ask me."

"I'm not sure if I'm doing the right thing for my team, just a couple of minutes ago, I pushed them towards my choice of weapons for them. My words determined the rest of their lives." Kaname asked.

"Ah, let me change, it's the end of my shift, and we will walk out with Hami-chan"

Sachi led Kaname towards the park, Hamimaru was skipping around them, both Uchihas sat on a bench.

"So you're scared that your choices will have bad consequences Little Butterfly?"

"Yeah"

"You shouldn't be, do you feel you did anything wrong towards the kids?"

"No, but there are so many other possibilities for them, and I was the one to make the choice for them…"

"Were they angry at your choice?"

"No"

"It's normal for us jōnin to feel stressed about our students, it just means you care about them, do as you are always doing Kana-chan" Sachi hugged her daughter "As for me, whatever happens. Whatever choices you made and will make in the future, I will always be proud of you, my Little Butterfly"

"Thanks, mom, I love you" Kaname tightened her hug.

"I love you too, Little Butterfly"

"*Woof-woof*" Hamimaru was waving her tail.

"Heh, we love you too Hami-chan" to Hamimaru's full happiness Kaname started scratching the underbelly.

"It's getting late, go home Little Butterfly. Naru-chan is waiting for you"

"*Sigh* Okay, bye-bye. Protect her Hami-chan."

"*Woof*"

Kaname was woken up by a loud rapping on her bedroom window. Standing up she felt that something is amiss.

"You are called for a new mission assignment, your team is waiting abroad" monkey messenger said.

"I'm sorry what? They are just genins"

"Are you still half-sleeping Kana-chan? They ranked up a couple of years ago" the monkey replied with the voice so much like Hokage's.

"Weird… Okay, I'm on my way. Just let me wake up"

Ten minutes later she walked through the doors of Hokage's office.

"Little Squirt, good that you are here!" her brother greeted her in the white-red uniform with a square hat on top of his head.

'It's not a genjutsu, am I dreaming?'

"What's going on Aniki?"

"I sent your old team on a mission, they sent a distress call. I think you should go help them Little Squirt"

'Weird, it feels like I'm just a passenger in my own body…'

"Fly to the Red Bamboo Leaf Eternal Town"

"Who the hell would someone call their place of living with so many adjectives?"

"What do you mean Squirt? It's the next town to Konoha. Go now"

'Okay, it's surely a dream. The scenery just changed in front of my eyes…It's rare to be conscious while staying asleep.'

She walked towards the guard standing before the gates of a weirdly looking city.

"From which sect are you?" he asked.

"Sect? Ehm, Konoha?" she replied not sure what to say.

"Walk inside disciple of Konoha"

"Disciple?" she asked.

"Hmph, trash doesn't even know what a sect is…" the other guard sneered at her.

"Hey, it's my dream here, don't call me trash for no reason!" Kaname said back hurt.

"What are you talking about?!" the guard barked out shocked.

'It's getting weirder and weirder, whatever, I should get inside'

Getting through the gates felt like a mist covering her eyes was erased, the sky cleared out showing many people flying in the air. Everyone had some kind of intricate flowery robes on them.

'Ok scratch the last thought, now it's f.u.c.k.i.n.g insane…' she facepalmed.

"Hey you!" she was stopped by a man her age calling out to her.

Looking at him he had an arrogant look on his ordinary face with a black mesh of hair on top of his head. Two guards with lavish armor were standing behind him.

"Yes?" Kaname asked.

"You should know who I am. Work for me!" he replied.

"Hmm? Sorry it's my first time in your town"

"You are courting death!"

"Okay? I'm sorry we began at the wrong foot, my name is Kaname Uchiha, you are?"

"Remember it, my name is Dong Yun Li Tian Long Ding Jian Ji Ying Rui Qin Wen Xian Wu Da De Hong-"

"Okay stop this, there is no way for me to remember that. Let's just call you Dong" she interrupted him.

"*Cough*" Kaname noticed a lot of blood coming out of his mouth.

"Ah, you need a medic, you should have said so from the start" Kaname deduced.

"You dare?! Young master Dong Yun Li Tian Long Ding Jian Ji Ying Rui Qin Wen Xian Wu Da De Hong Ren Chun Xiao…"

'There is more?! Well, you need some talent to remember such a name...' she thought.

"... Peng Zhang Shun Wang is the cousin of the Heavenly Immortal Vapor sect elder! You have eyes and can't recognize Mt. Tai! " one of the bodyguards shouted at her.

"I'm sorry it was not in my plan for his lung illness to show up now, and how could I notice a mountain if there are no mountains near…" She replied unsure what to say, 'What's going on with those stupid names? My brain decided to pull a prank on me or what?!'

"It's not an illness! Since you don't give me face, don't blame me for being rude! Let daddy here teach you a lesson! If I don't do this my name from now on will be read backward!" Dong shouted at her.

"That would be just immoral... I need to go, take care" she flickered away before she was caught in more problems, 'Brain! What the heck are you doing, such cringy lines!'

"Kaname-sensei!" she was called from her back.

She instantly noticed Izumi and Torune running to her, their appearances did not change a single bit.

'Put some work in it! I would love to see them grown-up' regrettably, her brain did not respond by altering the looks of her students, 'cheapskate!'

"Good that you are here sensei" Torune greeted her.

"What is going on?"

"The stupid monkey got abducted, that's what"

"What do you mean Izumi-chan?"

"He fell in love with the princess and barged into the palace. From what information I gathered she is a peerless beauty with jade-like skin. The princess has a beautifully sculptured body and amazing bright eyes. She is the top beauty that nations would go to war just to get her"

'Wow brain, accurate non-description you got there, but why would a nation fight for a single female?'

"Hmm, so how does she look in reality? You did not give me any details Izumi-chan"

"What do you mean sensei? I told you all that I know"

'Nice save!' she congratulated herself.

"Have you got a plan to save Koji-chan?" Kaname asked.

"Yes sensei. There is an auction tomorrow with an item that would help us teleport Koji-san out of his cell" Torune replied.

"Too convoluted, I don't have the time for an auction, stay here, I will get him out in a shinobi's way"

'Wait, it's only a dream, so I can't get blind here…' her eyes became red with black three-lily flowers in each one of them.

'Oh, the scenery changed again, is this the Koji-chan's prison cell doors?'

"Pst, Koji-chan you there?" she whispered.

"Sensei? Is that you? What are you doing here?" the voice asked back.

"I need keys…"

With a loud sound, a bunch of keys landed at her feet.

'Thanks, brain!'

After checking ten keys, the eleventh one opened the cell.

"Ah, that prank wasn't necessary brain!"

Koji's body was covered by a blonde fur with a monkey tail rising from his back. His face was a mix of humans and monkeys.

He turned towards her and with a wicked smile on his face, he said "Wake up, Sasa"

'Guh, that was weird… Hmm, blood?' Kaname tasted iron on her tongue.

"I can't move?!" she opened her eyes, "What's going on?" she turned her eyes to the right, the wall in her room was burning in black flames.

Looking to her left she noticed her brother nailed to the other wall by two black rods penetrating his palms. He was smiling at her, his eyes were completely black.

"Give in" he said in an ancient language.

At the same time, she was shaken by her right arm, turning her eyes she saw her mother. From Sachi's mouth, a steady stream of blood was dripping, her eyeholes were empty and were bleeding profusely.

"Always proud" Sachi said with a bloody smile.

"AAAAAH!" she woke up with a scream.

"Sasa, okay?" Naruto asked worriedly, hugging her arm.

"Naru-chan? *Sigh* It was only a dream…" she trembled in fear.

"Sasa was asleep and screaming, I woke you up!" Naruto replied proud of himself.

"Thanks, Naru-chan. I just had a nightmare. I'm sorry for scaring you"

"Can I sleep with you?" he asked.

"Sure" she took him up in her arms and put him in bed next to her.

With a hug and warmth from the other body, she drifted off to dreamless sleep.
