Unloved: The Abandoned Beauty

Chapter 22 - 22: Miss beautiful

Time passed quickly and Chris had already spent a full day on the island.

Honestly, Colette had completely forgotten about his existence, after taking his gun...

'Opps... I guess I should be a little more cautious when someone has, by chance, arrived at the island.' Wondering whether or not he was still alive, she headed to the beach to check.

...

Upon arrival, Colette did not step into view, but instead chose of observe him, squatting behind a bush in the shadows of the surrounding trees.

It was entertaining as she watched him lie lifeless on the sand, he wasn't dead.

She saw his muscular ċhėst rising up and down, even occasionally rolling over.

'Isn't the sand hot?' It wasn't that she was concerned about him, she had recalled her arrival on the island. Lying on the sand as he did.

This also applies to when she occasionally strolls around the island aimlessly. It felt like she was in an oven, let alone lying down on the sand that has been fed the sun's heat.

As she was beginning to feel bored, he abruptly jumped up and ran into the water. Then sprinted back onto the dry sand before charging towards her direction!!?

Startled at his sudden movement, Colette jolted.

As Chris sprinted to the shade, when he spotted a figure amongst the foliage, despite the bright sun shining both downwards, and reflecting off the sand. His eyes brightened; he had a cheesy grin plastered on his face as he slowed down to jog.

'Oh, he saw me. Tch.' Colette thought with a bit of annoyance, as she had only intended to stalk- no, watch him from a distance.

Seeing Colette not move from her spot, he was relieved and increased his jog to a run, afraid she would suddenly leave. As he approached Colette, he stopped five steps away from her. Remembering his lesson from last time!

After Colette ditched him on their first meeting, he mulled over her actions and realised she was totally reasonable for attacking him!

Perhaps he should say she was fending for herself, a random person charging at you, of course you would be alarmed!

"Ahem... I would like to apologise for my prior actions. I was rude and inconsiderate about your circumstances, please forgive me." Chris nervously apologised formally, hoping she would accept his sincerity.

Seeing Chris conducting himself, properly, and sincerely apologise, Colette gave him a response.

"Alright, I forgive you. But that doesn't mean that I'll trust you." Colette's cold tone transformed into sweet, honeyed words as they entered Chris' ear.

'Ah, how can someone be so beautiful. Being stuck on this island with such a beauty might not be so bad, just us together forever.' Occupied by his fantasies, he gave a delayed reply.

"That's fine, allow me to reintroduce myself. I'm Chris, a pilot, 23 years old and single. I happened to be caught in a storm which came out of nowhere, which brought me here." As he introduced himself, Chris didn't forget to throw in a flirtatious wink. .

However, Colette seemed to have blocked out the unnecessary information and actions by Chris. Merely responding with 'en', as she contemplated what to do with him....

Seeing her lack of response, Chris continued to babble on about his initial shock by the sudden storm and loss of communication with the control tower. As he did so, Colette observed him.

Unlike, when he first arrived, he no longer looked haggard and instead was full of vitality. With his white chemise shirt unbuttoned, his firm ċhėst and six pack were revealed. Unconsciously, she swallowed her saliva, her face tinted with pink as she thought, how inviting-

'No, concentrate Colette!'

Regaining her focus, she moved her gaze upwards to his face. He had pearly white teeth, a sharp jawline, and an alluring mole under his right eye. He had an enchanting smile, one that would capture the hearts of many.

Colette's gaze made him feel like he was a product being appraised, he didn't mind it though. It was a regular occurrence, not to be ċȯċky.

He usually felt uncomfortable though but for some inexplicable reason her gaze felt comfortable. In fact, he felt proud that she finally acknowledged his existence.

'How strange, it's the same as what others do, yet it feels so different. Heck I even saw the ŀust but...' At this point, Chris stopped chatting and gave Colette a smirk as they both "checked out" the other.

Chris parted his lips and shamelessly proclaimed,

"Miss you're very beautiful, perfect with my handsome self, I think we would be a perfect fit for each oth-"

"Shut it. Not another word." Colette's face frosted over as she wasn't too sure about how to respond to his advances. She had realised that Chris was someone she knows!

"Hey now, how about you move the knife away from my throa-"Chris urged helplessly, while of course Colette didn't intend to hurt him. But she just didn't remember much about him, after throwing the events of previous life at the back of her head. She couldn't recall things even if she wanted but it never mattered.

"Zip it."

'OmgOmgOmg why is he here!?!?!? Just when I was able to finally come to terms with what happened in my last life. Still hot too. Sh*t!'

She vaguely started to remember him as her crush and possibly friend? But she couldn't remember how far their relationship had gone, they probably remained friends.. She used to be quite withdrawn due to her past.
