Unmarried Husband: Exclusive Love

Chapter 4 - Best Years of Her Life

The next few years were the best years of Fay's life.

Dylan was the most caring and understanding man she had ever met. Many times, she saw a small resemblance of her father in him and it made her giddier.

He understood Fay's dream of becoming a world class actresses so he promised her that he won't bring up the marriage until she achieved her dream. They would just remain engaged and completely in love.

"You can take up all the time you have to get to you dream, baby. And when you do, I'll still be here waiting for you. We have all the time in the world, there's no need to rush. We can remain engaged and madly in love and nothing will change." He would say.

Fay couldn't ask for anything better. She had loving parents and a sister who was no less than her best friend. She had a best friend like Mia who had always been there for her through right and wrong. And then there was Dylan - the most understanding man she could have found. And he loved her just as much.

The only thing missing from the perfect picture of her life was her dream.

She returned to China a few months after her college graduation. She worked hard and gave several auditions but none were successful. At last, when she was on the verge of giving up, Dylan stepped in offering his help.

Back when they were still in college, Dylan had offered to talk to his dad and get Fay a debut role in an upcoming movie but Fay had declined.

"That's really sweet, D, but I want to achieve my dream by working hard for it and not by accepting a charity role from anyone. Even you." She had said.

If Dylan was hurt by her words, he didn't say. Instead he smiled. "I'm so proud of you, Fay. I love you so much."

"I love you too." She said, hugging him.
