Unpredictable Marriage.

"Of course why would I lie to you". Madam Liu said.

"Since that's the case, that's the more reason why I have to keep my reputation in check". After talking to herself, she said to Madam Liu, "Hurry up and call him (Liu Longwei), I want to apologize".

Madam Liu looked at her in surprise, "I already told you that you don't need to apologize because he wouldn't take it to heart".

Lady Chen refuted her immediately, "That won't do. Hurry up and dial his number".

"Why don't you call him yourself, afterall you have his number". Madam Liu teased.

Lady Chen was about to explode, "What if he doesn't pick my calls, I can't even imagine that. I have always been High and untouchable, I have always been respected, so imagine if he ignores my call, my pride will be trampled on, so stop delaying. Hurry up and call him".

Madam Liu Bilu looked at her speechlessly before proceeding to make the call.

Just on the first ring, the call was answered and a deep male voice was heard, "Good morning mum".

Madam Liu answered immediately with a bit of composure, "Good morning, how are you doing?".

Liu Longwei gave a reply, "Am good".

"How is Lihua?, Hope you're taking good care of her?". Madam Liu inquired.

Liu Longwei looked at Chen Lihua and answered, "Yes, she is with me and we are already on the way to the Airport".

Hearing that Chen Lihua was beside him, Madam Liu mouthed to Lady Chen that their children were together, and Lady Chen mouthed an OK and asked for her to hand the phone over.

Madam Liu replied Liu Longwei with an "Ok" and then said, "Lady Chen wants to speak with you".

Liu Longwei was surprised but didn't ask what the reason was, so he said "Ok" and looked at Chen Lihua wanting to tell her about the matter, but was cut of by a familiar female voice.

"Longwei it's Lady Chen speaking, how are you?". Lady Chen asked trying to test the waters.

Liu Longwei decided to explain to Chen Lihua later, so he proceeded to answer.

"Good morning Lady Chen, am good, how is your health?".

This was so unexpected for Chen Lihua hearing her mother's name from Liu Longwei's mouth.

'Is Liu Longwei speaking with my mother? I thought he was just speaking with his mother few seconds ago. If mother is speaking with right now, it means that she's in the Liu Villa or Madam Liu went to the Chen's Villa, but why?'.

All these questions kept coming up in Chen Lihua's mind.

Hearing Liu Longwei's relaxed tone, Lady Chen felt happy that her apology will go smoothly, so she started apologizing.

"Longwei, am sorry for talking about you that way during breakfast, is just that I was so anxious to know if I would soon be able to hold a grandchild, I didn't mean what I said earlier".

Liu Longwei couldn't understand what she was saying and why she was apologizing and he really wanted to know what would make her apologize.

So he asked, "Lady Chen I don't understand, why are you apologizing?".

When Chen Lihua heard the contents of his words, she became shocked, 'Lady Chen is apologizing? but for what?'.

It was at the last question that something downed on her, 'was Lady Chen apologizing because of the prank I played in her? Did she think that Liu Longwei heard her during the call?'.

At this point, she didn't know when she exclaimed, "OMG am finished!".

After her exclaimation, she noticed three pairs of eyes staring at her. Liu Longwei glanced at her, the Bodyguard by the name Andy and who was sitting in the front passenger seat turned to look at her. Even Asst Duyi whose eyes were on the road glanced at her through the car's rearview mirror before moving his eyes back on the road.

Chen Lihua forced a smile and Liu Longwei moved the phone a little away from his ear before asking her in a low voice, "What happened?. But no matter how he tried to ask softly, it made it look like he was trying to seduce her with that deep voice of his.

Chen Lihua smiled and said, "Nothing". While she kept thinking that she was totally finished and wondered what Lady Chen's reaction will be if she found out that she disregarded her pride to apologize to a younger generation for nothing. She couldn't even think any longer as she wondered what her punishment would be.

"Did something happen?". Lady Chen asked worriedly.

This question pulled Liu Longwei back to the call, "Nothing to worry about Lady Chen, you may continue, am all ears".

Hearing his affirmation, Lady Chen relaxed and recounted the conversation she had with Chen Lihua while still apologizing saying that she didn't mean to hurt his pride and that she was only anxious.

Hearing the reason for her apology, Liu Longwei then understood what Chen Lihua said at the dining table because he heard her say that he just heard their conversation.

Now he knew why Chen Lihua played the prank. So he looked at Chen Lihua and the latter looked at him as well with a question mark on her face, which said what?.

Liu Longwei smiled and moved his sight to the road and answered Lady Chen, "Lady Chen you don't need to apologize at all because I didn't even hear your conversation with Lihua earlier because the phone wasn't on loud speaker, but since you've already explained everything, then I can assure you that am not angry at all, and that Lihua and I agreed that we would only consumate our marriage after our church wedding".

Liu Longwei's words shocked many people when they heard him. The bodyguard shut his eyes while making himself invincible by not daring to breath out loud.

Asst Duyi coughed violently untill his entire face and neck turned to a shade of red.

Chen Lihua who was sitting beside him widened her eyes in shock.

Since the phone was on loud speaker, Madam Liu also heard her son's words, so she exchanged looks with Lady Chen before shifting on the sofa to find a comfortable position.

Lady Chen was not left out as she lost her elegant demeanor and left her mouth agape.

She regained her composure after a while, and with a smile on her face, she continued the conversation, "Since I've heard from you, then I don't have to worry anymore. Just have a safe trip and take care of yourself as well"

After receiving a positive reply, Lady Chen terminated the call and the fawning smile on her face was wiped out and was replaced with anger that she could not surpress anymore, so she erupted like a volcano.

She stood up and paced around while saying angrily, "Chen Lihua dared to play a prank on me, a whole Lady Chen? What guts she has. I have to deal with these brat otherwise she would forget that I am her mother, and I also gave birth to her".
