Vampire Reporter

Before I knew it, Christmas was already here. I didn't know if vampires celebrate Christmas or not. But either way I was. I decorated my room. Christmas lights hung from the walls. A small tree sat in the corner. It was like I was back at home. I didn't want anything this year. I got what I wanted. My mom and I get to spend time with her and I became a vampire. It was nice. I loved this Christmas more than the others.

A knock at the door startled me. I walked to the door and opened it. Cien stood there holding a box. I moved out the way for him to come in. I told him he could help and he did. He too liked Christmas. I asked him, since I can't leave this place, to get me some wrapping paper.

He laid the box on my bed. I opened it.

"Hope this was worth it." He said stretching.

"It was. Cause I got you a present." I say grabbing a Santa hat. I put it on his head.

He smiled. "Well good. I think I've been a good boy this year." He laughed loud.

Man that laugh melted my heart. The more I got close to Cien the more I found out about him. I think I've developed a crush on him.

"Ambrose?" Cien said snapping his finger in my face.

I noticed I was staring at him. "Um...sorry." I look in the box and grab the wrapping paper.

"Now I'm going to wrap the gifts. So you need to leave." I say pushing him out the door.

I shut the door. I turn to grab the gifts and I start to wrap them.

Christmas was in just one day. I already wrapped my gifts and now all I had to do was wait.

I was walking down the hall and I was thinking. I got Cien something, my mom, and a little something for Cerberus. I know we haven't talked but I mean he would say hi once and a while when I would walk down the halls. Cien wasn't with me when he did. I don't know why they seem like this but something is going on between them and I wonder what?

As I was going on in my head a sudden scream woke me out of it. I had been walking down one of the halls and someone was screaming?

I ran towards the scream. As I got closer my ears hurt. Man this person has a loud scream.

I come to a door. I was about to open it when I heard another voice.

"Shut up!"

I heard a slap. It was a deep mannish voice. Who is this? What's going on?

I press my ear toward the door.

"Please...just...let..me..go.." someone pleaded.

I crack the door a little. It didn't make any noise. I peck inside.

A young girl with long blonde hair and tan skin sat at a chair tied to it. What is going on in there?

I listen closer.

"You and your kind are all the same." A man approach her. He wore a black jacket and dark red pants. I didn't see his face.

"Please just let me go. I promise I won't say anything about you!" She yelled crying. Tears rolled down her face.

This poor girl. How could he be so mean to her. Without thinking I open the door. The door slammed against the wall. The man and girl turned my way. The man before me was someone I haven't met. He looked different than Cien and Cerberus. His skin was not pale but grey. His hair was red and a long scar ran down his face.

"What are you doing here!" He yelled making the room feel like it was shaking.

"Please help me!" The girl yelled crying more.

"How dare you hurt her!" I say madly to the guy.

"Me! She deserves it! Her and her kind are nothing but harm to us." He screams mad.

"She is only human." What is he talking about. She was harmless.

"See I'm only human. Please help me!" She screamed loud. "Please!"

I pushed the man out of my way and made my way to the girl. The guy grabbed my arm and pulled me back.

"Stop! Don't do that!" He yelled.

"Let go of me!" I turn around and punch him in the face and he fell on his knees. I kicked him in the stomach. I guess all that training did help.

I turn to the girl and she smiled.

"Thank you! Oh thank you!" She started to cry with joy.

I started to untie her.

"Thank you. You are my hero Ambrose."

I stopped. "How did you know my name?" I ask standing up.

She had held her head down. She looked up at me. Her eyes were dark and her hair frizzy. Her skin showed wrinkles. Her ears pointed. They looked sharp. Like knives.

"Santa knows all his children!" She laughed.

"What are you?' I asked studded.

"Shes...an..elf.." the guy that I kicked said on the ground trying to catch his breath.

The girl stood up from her chair.

"They make you think they are harmless but once you let down your guard they kill you." He said this time standing up.

The girl looked at him and me. "First you.." she pointed to him, she turned to me "than you!" She jumped onto the guy. Knocking me to the wall beside me. I saw her tear him apart. She ripped his skin off and his clothes and everything else.

I look at the door which was only a couple feet away. I could make it. I quickly stood up and ran toward the door. I could hear her getting up and running after me. I shut the door. But her hand was blocking it.

"Come here you little girl! Santa wants to play!"

I couldn't shut the door while the girls hand in the way. I used all my strength and shut the door. The girls hand had came off.

"Ahh!" She yelled in pain.

I ran down the hall. I didn't look back. 'What the hell was that thing?'

"Ahh!" I yell when I hit someone. I fall on my b.u.t.t.

"I'm so sorry." I say standing up. When I got up I looked back and I saw the girl running after me. She was bleeding. I turn to see who I ran into. It was Cerberus. He was standing up. I quickly grab his hand and run down the hall.

"Hey! What's going on?" He yelled confused.

"Some thing is chasing me. Just look behind you!"

He turned his head to see the girl. "What the hell is that thing!"

"I don't know but whatever it is, it's going to kill us."

We come to two hallways.

"This way!" Cerberus says pulling down the left hall.

We ran until we saw a door on the right of the hall.

We ran in there as fast as we could. I heard her footsteps fade. When I couldn't hear footsteps I calm down. I look around the room and I see that it had cleaning bottles and mops. I was guessing that this was the cleaning room.

"Why and what did that thing want?" Cerberus said breathing heavy.

"Some guy I think he said that she is a elf."

"Elf!" He yelled surprised.

"So I'm guessing you know what an elf is. Also I thought elves were jolly and nice."

"Well that's what humans believe. But us vampires and other supernatural creatures believe other wise."

"So to us humans elves are nice but to you guys elves are evil creatures?" I say confused.

"Yeah that's right, those elves kill our kind and it's hard to get rid of them."

Oh well that makes me feel good. Man I hate myself for involving myself between that guy and that damn elf. I should of just walked away. But no, my good heart had to get involved.

"Ambrose don't make that face." Cerberus said with a concern face.

"What?" I ask confused.

"You look like your worried and I-I don't like seeing girls sad. Cause it makes me feel awful like I did something wrong." He said with a small smile.

What! He feels awful if I'm worried about something? The more I talk to Cerberus the more I feel like he's not a bad guy.

"What?" He says crossing his arms.

"N-nothing." I say looking at the ground. I feel my cheeks get warm.

He laughs.

Why am I so embarrassed? Ambrose remember he left you.

"I think it's okay to leave." He says opening the door and looking out.

We walk out and we don't see the girl.

"Well I'll go tell your mom. You go to your room and don't come out." He started to walk down the hall.

"Wait!" I yell running after him. "I'm coming."

"No your-"

"Yes I am. I'm not going to be some scared little girl." I demand.

He smiled. "Man, my brother said your a stubborn one."

I smile. Thanks Cien.

We start to walk down the hall to meet my mom.
