'Everything was black for so long. I didn't know if I would ever see light again...wait...what's that?..'

I open my eye's slowly. I blink a couple times before my vision is clear. I see that I was laying in a hospital bed. My arm had a IV in it. I follow it to lead to a bag full of red liquid. 'I could guess what that was. Wait!' I touch my throat to feel my cut but when I do I feel something cotton like. I quickly get up and run, carefully, to the mirror in the room. I see my throat had a bandage on it. It wasn't bloody or anything. Just clean. Suddenly I hear footsteps outside my door. I rush back to the bed, an pretend to be asleep. 'I want to be careful.'

The door opens. Two people walk in. One on each side of my bed.

'Who is that?' I try to peep out but I know I'll be caught.

A man's voice can be heard on my left. His voice was harsh. "I don't care what it takes! You will make sure no one and I mean NO ONE will enter this room without her permission!"

A young woman's voice was on the right of me. She seemed to be messing with my IV. "I know sir. Please we will do everything we can. I promise"

I could feel her tug at my IV. It was starting to hurt. 'Damn you! This hurts so much'

The girl was shaking a little. "Come on now." She tugged more.

I couldn't hold it in. 'This chick was going to pull my vain out!' "OW!" I sit up quickly. "Can you be a little nicer!" I say angrily. But I notice my voice was a little different. I look at the girl again. She was shaking a lot. Her eyes wide. She looked terrified. "Listen, I promise your-" When I reached out for her she fainted. "Oh!" She hit her head hard.

"Ambrose.." I hear someone say behind me.

I turn to find Cerberus standing there. His eyes were swollen. He looked at me with a blank face. 'It was kinda cute to see him without a frown.' "Cerberus..." I say smiling.

He didn't say anything but hug me tight.

I smiled as he held me. I hugged back.

We stayed like that for about five minutes before he pulled away.

"Do you know who did this to you?" He asked looking at me.

I nodded my head. "Yes. But you won't like it..." I pulled my legs to my c.h.e.s.t. 'If he knew who did this he wouldn't believe me...or if I did he may choose her side over mine.' I rubbed my head.

He sat on the edge of the bed as he was thinking. "Well, when you didn't show up I went to find you...but when I did you were..." He breaks off as he looks away from me.

"I know.." I put my head on his shoulder.

He kissed my head. "I wanted to make sure you were okay and I'm happy I did." He holds me. "I don't know what I would do if something were to happen to you.."

I laugh. 'He was too adorable. On the outside he was mean and harsh but on the inside he was just a big cuddly bear.'

He looked at me. "What's so funny?"

"Nothing" I say trying to not laugh anymore.

He rolls his eye's with a smile. "Hey.." He stands. "You need to get back to base now. Since you are better. You're mother would like to see you. And.." he sighs. "you are going to have to feed for strength." He points to the passed out woman.

I stand. "I will not! You know I-"

"You don't have a choice. If you don't you will be taken over by hunger...and if that happens...well you won't be able to control yourself...so" He walks to me. "Feed or be a monster forever and be killed for it" He was serious.

I sigh. 'What he was saying was true. I knew what I was getting into but I never wanted to feed on humans! But now I don't have a choice in the matter...' I bend down to the woman. I swallow hard. 'Even though I never ate from humans I couldn't help but smell her. She smelled really good. I could smell her blood racing through her veins.' I get closer to her neck. I brush her hair away so I can get a clean bite. I take a deep breath. 'This was it! I was going to feed on my first human. And it had to be a young nice girl..' I bite the girl. My teeth go deep in her. I start to feel her blood running through my teeth. 'It tastes soo good!' I bite harder, making more blood come through. 'Her blood tasted so much better than animals!'

"Ambrose!" Cerberus pulls me up from my dress. "That's enough."

I shake my head and look down. My eye's widen to see the girl was very pale skin. Her body a little skinnier than before. "Did I-"

"She isn't dead. I stopped you before you killed her." He threw some clothes on the bed. "Now get dress and meet me outside" He walked out of the room.

I sigh looking at the girl. "I'm sorry I did this to you." I pick her up and lay her on the bed. 'She was very pretty. I'm happy he stopped me. I don't know what I would do with myself if I killed her.'

I quickly get dressed and meet Cerberus outside. I see him leaning against a wall. I approach him. "Hey.." I put my hands in my jacket.

He stands straight. "Lets get back before your mother gets my ass" He chuckles as he starts to laugh.

I look around at the city. It was nighttime. The city was beautiful with all its lights. "It so pretty."

Cerberus stares at me. "Yeah..." He coughs. "Lets go." He grabs my arm and starts to pull me down the street.

"Okay.." I say groaning. "So...how long was I out for?"

"A week. But don't worry. No one saw you here." He stares ahead of us.

I stare at him as we walk. 'He truly was ever girls dream of a bad boy.' I laugh. 'Stop this!' I began to start thinking about HER. 'What if he chooses her?' I look up at her again. 'Will he protect me? Or....or will he kill me for her?'

"Whats on your mind?" He looks at me from the corner or his eye.

My face turns red as I look away. "N-nothing!" 'I can't let him know. Not yet...'

"Ambrose..." He stops me.

We stood in the middle of the sidewalk. People walking passed us.

"Tell me..." He looks down at my throat than back at me. "Please.."

I swallow hard. 'I can't tell him yet. Not before I'm for sure he will choose me. I have to think of something fast!' I sigh. "I accidentally cut my own throat. There! Happy?" I act embarrassed. Suddenly I feel pain on my forehead. "Hey!" I look up at him while I rub my forehead. "What was-"

"Idiot! You know what could have happened to you?" He yells at me angrily.

"ME! Oh yeah! You're the one to talk!" I yell back.

We start yelling nonsense at one another when people start to stop and watch us.

"Okay listen.." He sighs. "Lets just get back. Huh?" He starts to stomp away.

I look at him. 'I am a idiot. I should just tell him.' I slowly walk after him.

The Under Ground(Inside)

It was weird going back to the Under Ground. Everyone was staring at me. We stop when we walk in the l.a.p, from before. My mother stood at her desk. She was ordering everyone around.

"Mom..." I say under my breath. 'Shes probably mad at me..'

She turns to us. "Ambrose. I see you are better" She smiles. "Just so you know I have changed your living quarters. You will now have a roommate. For your safety."

"What?" I look at her angrily. "Mom-" I swallow hard. "I don't need a roommate! I'm fine on my own!"

"It's already done. Here." She hands me some papers. "This is your new room number. And this is your new roommate." She flicks her fingers and a girl comes over.

The girl was short with pigtails. 'Of course!' Her hair was purple but the ends were blue. She wore bright clothes. 'Surprising.' "HI!" She reaches her hand out to me. "Names Jenna!"

I smile as I shake her hand. "Hello."

"Wow! Nice hand shake! You know my dad always said to have a strong handshake to show your dominance." She smiles big.

"Cool." I smile as I try not to be rude.

"Anyways, you two should get going to your room. Cerberus come with me" My mom grabs his arm an walks away.

'Jeez thanks!'

"Soo roomie! Want me to show you our new room?" Jenna smiles big. "Oh you are going to love it!" She grabs my hand. "I can't wait to show you!" She pulls me towards the hallway for the rooms.

When we get to the door I notice stars and hearts all over the door. 'Great. Just great!'

"Okay so behind this door is our new room!" Jenna jumps up and down.

"Yay!" 'God can she be a bigger kid?' I smile.

"Welcome to our new room!" She opens the door to reveal the room.

I close my eyes for the worse but when I open my eyes I see that the room was divided into two spaces. "Wow.." I see one of the sides was bright colors as the other side was dark an plain.

"I knew you weren't a big fan of colors so I guess you would love to decorate your own side." She smiles as she sits on her bed. "Hope you like it."

I look around on my side. "I like it." I sit on my bed. 'Oh that feels nice.'

Suddenly a girl enters the room. She had red short hair. She wore all black. Her skin was dark.

She went to Jenna. "Hey-" She than noticed me. "Oh hi"

"Don't worry B. Shes cool." Jenna stands. "Whats going on?"

B nods at me but quickly turns to Jenna. "Anyways, I think I have some news on Max."

They sit.

"Tell me everything!" Jenna smiles big.

'Oh no! They are talking about boys! Great!' I lay back on my bed. 'Hope I can get some sleep.'

"Hold on. Let me go to the bathroom before we talk about this." Jenna rushes to the bathroom.

I'm left in the room with this B girl.

"So you're the girl that got her throat slashed huh?" B says looking over at me.

I sit up. "Yeah I guess I am." I smile. 'God now I'm famous. Well even more famous than before.'

"So do you like Jenna?" B says crossing her arms.

I shrug. "I just met her. But I think shes alright."

She laughs.

I look over at her. "Whats so funny?"

She smiles big. "Just be careful about what you say around her. Well I mean in your head."

I raise my brow. "What?"

Jenna walks out of the bathroom. "Okay all done." She soon realizes both of us talking. "Oh did I interrupt?"

B smiles. "Nope."

I, still confused, look at Jenna. "No. You didn't." Suddenly it hits me. 'Oh my god she can read minds!'

Jenna laughs. "Took you long enough."

B laughs. "I told her. Shes a little slow."

I groan. "Thanks!" I stand. "I'm going to go take a shower." I look around to find towels on the dresser.

"Don't think about anything dirty." B yells as I shut the door.

Jenna hits her arm.

I roll my eyes as I lock the door.
