Veronica: CEO's Underworld Queen

Veronica and her friends were awestruck to learn that the man was Rawlf Sy, the beyond their league's Chief Executive of Sy International. And Ric's older half brother.

 Although they knew that Ric was a son of a business magnate, they were not intimidated by this because first, Ric was a humble person and second, he kept on stressing that he was just an illegitimate son who doesn't need a VIP treatment. 

Each of them belong to wealthy and affluent families, but in front of a Rawlf Sy, they were nothing combined. 

Veronica's earlier resolute thought weakened. She or any of their friends never seen Rawlf Sy in pictures. The man was aloof to the media and not one controversy can be linked to him. That's how powerful he is.

He could control the media of Country P. The only instances where media were allowed to report about him were things related to Sy International and its yearly magnificent growth making Sy International as the giant among the ants of business companies in Country P.

 But aside from that, no personal interview or even picture of him were allowed to be posted unless the said media companies wanted their own destruction. There were some courageous soul who challenged that 'urban myth' and their companies ended up not seeing another daylight.

Veronica and her friends were intimidated by the imposing aura that Rawlf Sy exudes but she can't help stealing glances then and there. Sometimes she would caught him glancing at her and she would looked right away and if he would caught her looking at him, her heart would beat faster and she can feel something in her core as her body trembled.

She can't help but bite her lower lip everytime Rawlf would give her that predatory look. She thought biting ones lower lip is cliché and stupid but now she realized that it's not,....much when the person felt extreme and unbearable kind of  thirst for the other.

Her attraction towards him grows a second harder..... and a minute deeper. 

'Are you okey?' Martha whispered at Veronica.

'Of.., of couse! Why?' 

'Nothing, it's just that you were very silent.' Martha giggled. 'Well it's hard to act normal much when we're in front of the most powerful figure in the whole Country P.'

'That's true.' Veronica giggled back. 'I wanna go to the comfort room. Want to come with me?'

'Sure , wait. I'll asked Ric to point us the CR.' Martha said as she stood to come near Ric who was sitting beside his older brother. Their seat was across her so her checking him out was easy breezey.

Veronica saw in her peripheral view that after Martha whispered the obvious to Ric, Ric said something to his brother and was about to stand up when Rawlf said something. Yvette, Rose, Floyd and Gedmaire were still into the cardgame and were already comfortable despite the presence of a Rawlf Sy. The atmosphere lightened up when Rawlf briefly told them earlier that he won't take long and would leave first and since he rented the VIP room for the night, they are free to used it all for themselves since they were with his brother.

Rawlf didn't utter a single word to them right after that except the glutinous staring game between him and her. Everyone turned toward the door as it suddenly openned. Mr. Ryan or should they call him Secretary Ryan went in and came towards Veronica. 

'Miss, I will guide you to the private CR of the club.'

'Oh, you don't have to. Just point it out for us.' Veronica looked over Martha who was still talking with Ric.

She was about to call for Martha when Rawlf suddenly stood up.

'I will leave first. Enjoy yourselves.' He then look at Ric and strutted towards the door. Veronica couldn't help but feel dissappointed. She thought that he would do something later, well the shameless in her was hoping because he kept on looking at her with that predatory look in his eyes and yet, he's already leaving. 

'Secretary Ryan, assist Miss Wang first. I'll wait for you in the car.'

After that, he left with a dangerous glint in his eyes. 

'Miss Wang, let me lead the way.' Secretary Ryan insisted.

'Martha, let's go.' Veronica tried to cover the disappointment in her voice as she called out for Martha.

'Will you be okey alone or you need me to go with you?' Martha seems to be enjoying her conversation with Ric.

'Don't worry Miss Lu, I will assist Miss Wang to the CR.' Secretary Ryan replied hurriedly. 

Veronica was annoyed by how the Secretary insisted. She look at the Secretary. 'Does this Secretary likes me?' she wondered. If Secretary Ryan was able to hear her thoughts, he would right away kowtow to his devil boss for he won't dare covet the women his boss's was interested with.

Seeing as Martha was enjoying Ric's company, she resigned and let the secretary guide her to the CR instead.

'Alright.'
