Veronica: CEO's Underworld Queen

Her phone's clock read 10:31 when Veronica checked after waking up. Confident and secured that Rawlf was just outside waiting for her and maybe doing his work there, Rawlf languidly stayed still in bed for a good two minutes before deciding to freshen up.

However, she can't help but still be nervous of what she is to reveal to the man.

It's not just a what but the 'who are' and Veronica still don't know where and how to start.

For a fact, she couldn't be blame because who would have thought that the man, she proved last night was so doting on her it's like he's madly inlove with her. Veronica blushed and felt mushy recalling Rawlf's gentle voice last night in her 'sleep'.

After freshening up, Veronica decided to call her mother first to inform her family, much her father, about this development. Yes, she's old enough to decide for herself but her, her family had always been there supporting her all the way through her pregnancy until now that the twins are older. They, much her siblings were very doting on her children and she couldn't be grateful enough.

'Vivi?' Celerina's fully concerned voice was heard from the other line.

'Mom. It's me. I need to tell you something.'

'What is it? Something happened with you there? Would you like me to send you more forces ti help you establish there? Orr is it about-'

'Mom, ...listen first.'

Celerina's worried tone and chain of questions made Veronica grinned. This side of her mother, she could really relate to. Indeed, mothers.

Celerina turned silent in understanding as she waited for Veronica to continue to talk.

'I have been with the twins father now. And.....and, I'm about to reveal the twins' existence on him, today.'

Celerina who was very shocked to the news knew better than to act gasping or whatever the usual motherly dramatic reaction. Rather, she calmed herself in silence, making Veronica to comfortable to continue.

'He's Rawlf Sy. Sy International CEO.'

After a long silence from the other line, Celerina replied that caught Veronica off guard. 'You love the man?'

'Mom, I...-'

'You're not sure of it yet?'

'It's not about that mom, it's just that-'.

'How about him? Are you sure that he really loved you? I won't judged him or jumped into conclusion because our circ.u.mstances back then was indeed hard and we left sudenly, but, how are you sure about him?'

Veronica smiled and then tell her mother the full story from her misunderstanding to her reconciliation with Rawl last night. Not forgetting to add the content of his talk while she was 'sleeping' which made her trust the man even more.

Celerina on the other hand, believes on her daughter's words and already has a good impression about the man. After all, he couldn't be blamed of not knowing about his children with her daughter since their situation was complicated then. 'Do what you think is best not only for you but of the children Vivi. As long as you're endangering yourself or the children and if it's for your family's happiness, Mom will support you.'

Veronica wiped the tears in her eyes. Family. Yes, her little family. 'Thank you mom.'

After the talk with her mother, Veronica readied herself and went out of her bedroom door. About time for Rawlf to know what he is supposed to know.

Back in Country R, however, the atmosphere was tensed.

Celerina, along with Veronica's siblings, were seated around the circular table. Beforehand, Celerina already told her husband, Eddie Wang about what their daughter and the twin's father.

Eddie Wang didn't take it as accepting as she did as it was known then that Norverto Yan was under the said man's protection. However after explaining to her husband that the situation then is different, her husband was critical yet, has to accept that fact. After all, he was his grandchilden's father and it's unfair for him to remain oblivious of them. Now, it's up for the man whether to accept her daugher and his grandchildren because anyway, from the beginning, they have alway help and supported Veronica. 'Hehe he he's a fool ififif he can't accept mamamy lovely grandchildrennn!' Eddie Wang said in a stuttering voice. Well, the proof of the gravity of his stroke from five years ago.

Celerina herself knew that despite her husband's strong fascade, deep inside he was crumbling after realizing his stuttering speech after the stroke. But for the least, he can speak directly now and she hope that one day, with advance medicine and rehabilitation, her husband would regain back what he lost.

Back in the tensed atmostsphere, it was Edcel, who speak first. 'So he is that bastard huh, wel, sister's standard is formidable.'

'Edcel!' Celerina reprimanded.

'What?, I was just joking. After all, it's quite unbelievable that sister had been acquainted to the most powerful and influential man in Country P. And even bore him children.'

Celerina couldn't help herself but agreeed on that though. Her daughter's standard was indeed, quite...too high ah. She couldn't help but be proud of her own daughter in the process though. After all, she deserves no one but the best specie of man.

'No doubt that my very adorable nephew and neice were geniuses. They got it from their father! And, additional point, there father was the most influential and powerful man. We could use our future brother in law there!'' It was Justine who doesn't care about the tense atmostphere actually, being the youngest one, Justine still couldn't understand the situation in broad sense although her scheming sense was unvoidable.

'Justine!!' This time Celerina reprimanded her youngest scheming son.

'That's true.' Edcel, the second eldest one, next from Veronica finally said something. His voice was laced with great interest. This sister of his proved heself formidable to him once more ah. Imagine bagging the man who has control over the politics and economy of the whole Country P. Very formidable!

Veronica's three younger brothers nodded in agreement among themselves. Well, why would they even complicate things for their sister and nephew and neice right?! As long as the man will prove himself useful for them, who are they to say no to such luck?!

Celerina's mouth twitched on the other hand. How come that the tensed atmosphere earlier was replaced by a scheming aura emitted from her three sons. Well, for sure, troubles will come on her future son in law. Looking at her sons' eyes filled with mischiefs, Celetina could only hope that the man exceeds her expectation.
