Veronica: CEO's Underworld Queen

Veronica and Madame Vanessa Sy were enjoying their delightful lunch when some presence stood near the table. When Veronica look at them, somehow, they looked a bit familiar.

Seeing as they're looking at her and not to the Sy Madame, Veronica felt obliged to give them her attention, although it's not necessary, but since she's with the Sy Madame, she felt the need to 'behave' and not to embarrased her.

'Yes?.. Anything ladies?' Veronica asked right away with confusion filled her face.

Even Madame Sy who was enjoying her lunch was now back at her stoic, ice cold expression after sensing troubles from these girls. She was about to say something when Veronica looked at her in a subtle way as if telling her she could handle the situation.

'Hello Senior Veronica Wang! It's been a long time! We came to pay you our respect!' The three girls said in unison which also caused some buzzed off from the other elites who were then observing the two women who had been the center of attention since their arrival.

'Veronica Wang?! You mean that daughter of that politician who.....?' Although in a low voice but Veronica could still hear the sudden change in the atmosphere of the elites inside the restaurant. Some already were judging her character based on her father's political scandal, some who felt envy towards her earlier now are having their schadenfreude moment while the few wise ones reserve their judgement and keep their silence.

However, Veronica was not the least worried and even wanted to laugh loudly at these girls antics. 'I mean, who are they? I don't even know them.' Veronica thought in amus.e.m.e.nt. Since these girls wanted to have fun, what's wrong with not joining them, right?

'Oh thank you ladies...but you are...? I can't seem recognized any of you.' Veronica replied in nonchalance. Disregarding the buzzes of other people in the restaurant. Although deep inside, she's mad because those people were judging her father's character out of that dismissed case.

The trio who were confident earlier were feeling slightly embarrased, after all, the restaurant is filled by the elites of City I and them, they're just nothing but middle class workers.

'Oh, we were your freshmen in college, Senior Veronica. It's actually surprising to see you back here in City I after.... your family's..... dissapearance from five years ago. I'm Ally by the way and my friends here is Tina and Carla.'

'Yes Senior Veronica. I hope your father is finally okey too....you know... ' Tina looked at the Sy Madame to confirm her listening to their conversation and continued, 'after the political scandal he was involved in, that time. But I hope justice will prevail at the end, right Senior?'

Tina was trying to trap Veronica from saying yes by adding the last line and of course, would confirm herself, that indeed, her father was involved in a political scandal. Both Carla and Ally's eyes sparkle in excitement.

Veronica seeing the evil sparkle from the three girls eyes also has a passing of an evil glint in hers. Well, talking to these girls is a torture to her brain cells but she has to, although it's no fun anymore.

'Oh you mean the dismissed case against my father?'

The three girls didn't prepare for the comeback, or maybe, because of the early prejudice, they had forgotten how quick-witted and sharp and was even a dean's lister in their college, their Senior Veronica was.

However, they recover right away. 'True Senior. It's just surprising as well that the Yan Family whose' patriach, former Governor Norverto Yan also suddenly vanished after the case filed against your father. And your family disappeared as well about the same time. Since you're back, I believe, the Yan Family will also return.' Carla said in a hopeful tone, as if Norverto Yan was a dignified man himself.

It is a common knowledge as well in the high society that the Yan's family first branch just vanished out of thin air and it's not a simple 'just had gone for a long vacation' kind of disappearance but an obvious annihilation. The normal thing to happen when you belong in high society where the weaks are trample by the strongest.

Although that is normal, and the elites themselves are guilty of the voracious practices just to maintain their power and status, yet for the sake of a good reputation, they're more than ready to be thick skinned and hypocrites and act upright. After all, that is so much easier than to be swallowed whole by the enemy.

Now that one of the three girls had said that, and seemed to have been insinuating that the Wang had something to do with Yan's disappearance and also schemed against the latter because of the case filed against the Wang patriach, Eddie Wang.

Additionally, around that time, Eddie Wang also vyed for the governorship for the coming election but unfortunately, his 'clean' political reputation was destroyed or so to say, uncovered by that political scandal. His whole family then disappeared, few days later, the Yan family first branch was annhilated and the case against Eddie Wang was dismissed. If the dots were to be connected, then the annhilation of the Yans can be connected to the Wang seeing as the only daughter of the Wang, Veronica Wang, returned, safe and sound, while there's no sign or actually no hope at all for the Yans to return..... alive.

And it dawned on them that Veronica Wang was together with the Sy Madame and even called her as her future daughter in law, does this means that the disappearance of the Yans has also something to do with Rawlf Sy?! Much that everyone in the high society knew as to what extent is the ruthlessness and cold bloodedness of a Rawlf Sy?

Seeing as their purpose was achieved, the girls called it quits. Their plan actually was to exposed Veronica in front of the elites that she's a daughter of a corrupt politician and well so to eventually speak to her character as an individual too.

But maybe they're just too smart and eventually used another scheme by making Madame Sy feel embarrased and regret of bringing Veronica along with her and later would hate the woman to be the caused of her and her son's tarnished reputation among the elites just by having connection with the Wang Family and then would put Rawlf Sy in a compromising situationn to have been the caused of the Yan's annhilation.

Just too smart right? Two birds in a stone. They thought among themselves with pride.

Although indeed that was the truth but the naïve girls just don't get it that neither Madame Sy nor Rawlf Sy really cared about what other people think, even with the elites of the high society.

Just by the snap of his fingers, no elites can survived if he really would intend to end their existence. How much more of their little lives?
