Veronica: CEO's Underworld Queen

Back inside the office, the little family was having their best moments on the sofa.

Baelfire and Baelfair both decided to sit on their father's l.a.p as their mom was not feeling well.

The cubs were talking, actually it's only the blabber mouth Baelfair who was talking endlessly while Baelfire would only add or omit some information Fair forgot or added to exaggerate her story.

Veronica couldn't help herself but to feel sentimental of this moment. Although unfortunately, she wasn't able to witness the reuniting moment of her children and their father earlier, but she's still feeling very happy and thankful.

Everything somehow went smoothly and her father and children instantly got along quite well like the years of their father's absence didn't happen at all.

The couple looked over each other, their eyes filled with gentleness, happiness and love as they listened to their cubs' animated story of their adventure while on their way to Country P.

Even if still unhappy about what her younger brother did, Veronica was somehow guilty and thankful of him for taking good care of her kids. After all, her siblings indeed had been nothing but too doting and spoiling of her twins.

But of course, she won't tell that to Edward as she would still love to play her 'mad' ground.

If anything, she's just scared that this might end up her kids spoiled to rotten seeing as Rawlf was too inlove of their cubs to the point of him giving them whatever their heart d.e.s.i.r.es.

But Veronica also knew that Rawlf would be a good father. Only that she hope, he will balance it with being a good disciplinarian as well.

Speaking of her younger brother, he has been on the floor for another good thirty-five minutes now and he was still laying there.

Veronica was about to move to checked on him but well, the young man suddenly stand up, like nothing happened with an offended looked on his face.

'Sis ah! That was too painful it felt like death.' Edward sound aggrieved. And as if hurt added. 'And no one even checked if I was still alive. Even the nephew and neice who I dearly love totally forgot about their doting uncle after finally meeting their father.'

Rawlf smirked as he looked over his cubs lovingly.

'I was watching over you Uncle Edward. You're breathing earlier so that means you're still alive.' Baelfire responded

Baelfair giggled. 'I shawyou move anku!!'

Both Rawlf and Veronica laugh out loudly on their cubs antics. Well, they didn't expect this from them.

Actually they were the ones who only remembered about the young man just now. But the twins who they thought to be lost in their chatter were concerned and were watching over their Uncle Edward to see if he's still alive..

'They're our cubs.' Rawlf made a comment.

'Well, what to do.' Veronica replied haughtily.

Meanwhile, Edward who just recovered was having an incredulous expression on his face.

'Wow, you're some kind of a family!' Edward was lost what to even say.

Happy enough, Rawlf ignored the young man and just enjoyed the presence of his woman and their cubs.

Being ignored, Edward was about to walk out to find for foods to eat after exhausting all his energy trying to recover from that deadly punched of his sister.

'Where are you going?' Veronica seeing her escaping brother stopped him.

'To find foods. I'm hungry you know! I won't escape, I have nowhere to sleep tonight if I ever escape.'

'No need. I notified my Secretary to bring foods inside.' Rawlf informed the young man, after all, he is his woman younger brother and he has no choice but to be kind to him as well.

Brightening up on the thought of food, Edward returned to his earlier position whistling.

But his laid back and carefree attitude died down the instant his sister started to interrogate him.

'Now tell, why were you and the kids here?'

With a resigned expression, Edward turned solemn.

Veronica and Rawlf waited and turned serious as well after seeing the serious expression on his face.

Yet after a while, what dumbfounded the couple was when Edward started to laugh so loudly even the twins stopped from their chattering and looked over their uncle who seeemed to have gone insane.

As she couldn't take it anymore, Veronica move to slip out of her sandal and throw it at her brother.

Edward who has trained, like Justine and Edcel and of course, her, under their uncle Bien's standard was quick to catch the sandal thrown at him and despite of it, still threw back the sandal on his sister gently, like giving it back to her.

Although that doesn't stop Edward from laughing.

Seeing the frustration on his woman, Rawlf moved to rubbed her back to calm her down.

Seeing this gesture from their father, the cubs followed suit which eventually made Veronica chuckled.

Seeing the family's public (office) display of affection, Edward rolled his eyes in exasperation. 'Ah, when is the food coming!'

'No food until you answer my question.' Seeing as Edward was about to laugh once again, Veronica threatened. 'Laugh once more and I assure you brother, you'll wake up inside the hospital next.'

Knowing that his sister wasn't just threatening, Edward controlled his laughter and started to tell his tale.

'Sis, it wasn't intended at all. I was just joking at them!'

'What do you mean?' Now it's Rawlf who asked.

'Uh, well' Edward turned to looked at Baelfair and after seeing the innocent and dewy looked on his adorable neice's face, Edward could only sighed in another defeat.

This exchanged between the uncle and neice didn' went pass through Rawlf and Veronica's eyes but of course, parents as they are, chose to ignore and act naïve about it.

Edward who had a clear understanding that the couple finally realized that Baelfair was the one who instigated this whole thing but chose to ignore it for their own daughter could only sigh for his 'countless' moment of defeat.

His mouth twitched as he started

'Well, I just joked them that I will be coming to Country P the next morning and I was surprised that they woke me up the next day, very early in the morning, and there I was forced to obliged.'

Having a clear understanding that there's more to it but Edward could only say it without the cubs presence, the couple could only act as if they accept the explanation.

However, after realizing some things, Veronica turned to ask Edward again.

'Where are the kids' luggages??'

Edward couldn't help but threw his head back wildly once again and laugh loudly.

This time, Veronica was more forgiving of her brother, but then, his next words made her want to strangle him to death.

'No luggages. It's just me and the kids.'
