Wake Up, I’m the Former Villainess

As they talked, the rooster sounded and the world turned bright. Teng Yuanzhou said, “Oh, I’m going to be on duty. You can hide here safely. I’ll deliver food to you when I’m free. There’s a well in the back of the house to draw water. If you are hungry, I put half of the corn flour steamed bread left from yesterday in the drawer of the bedside cabinet. Take care of Xiao Yi for the time being.”

Nian Nian tossed for most of the night. She was very sleepy and worried about what would happen to Xiao Yi, so she simply found a small stool, sat at the head of his bed, untied a hair band and tied their wrists together, then she fell asleep.

A little confused, she suddenly felt the movement of her wrist. She opened her eyes blankly, and saw Xiao Yi holding her arm trying to raise it. Just halfway through, he slammed it down weakly, and there was a muffled noise.

Immediately, he found the hairband on his wrist, and he was stunned, raised his eyes, and couldn’t help but freeze when he met Nian Nian’s eyes.

After a while, he looked away, silently removed the hairband, and got up again. However, he was in pain and felt tired after the high fever. He couldn’t hold up in the end.

After Nian Nian watched for a while, she straightened up slowly, only to find that half of her body was numb. As she moved her body, she said in a puzzled way, “If you are injured, just lie on your stomach, what are you doing?”

The embarrassment in Xiao Yi’s dark phoenix eyes was fleeting.

Nian Nian looked closely at him. His complexion was much better than before, his black eyes were brighter, and his lips had a little bit of color. In the soft light of the morning, the eyebrows and eyes were more beautiful and the temperament was clean.

It was this temperament that was really unpleasant. Nian Nian said in dissatisfaction, “What are you moving for? Do you think you are not hurt enough? If you get sick again like last night, your life will be gone.”

“Last night…” Xiao Yi’s voice was hoarse, and his eyelashes trembled.

Nian Nian said, “You had a high fever last night. If it weren’t discovered early, you would have half your life if you didn’t die.”

Xiao Yi was shocked, and stopped talking.

Looking at his beautiful and childish face, Nian Nian picked up a bit of patience, “Are you in any trouble? Do you need my help?”

Xiao Yi didn’t say a word.

Knowing that he had a deep grudge against her, she didn’t force it. She picked up the bucket Teng Yuanzhou fetched the previous night, planning to go to the well to freshen up. She was still very sleepy at the moment and needed cold water to wake up.

Just after taking a step, a hesitant voice came from behind, “Wait a minute.”

Nian Nian paused, and when she looked back, she saw a cowardly look on Xiao Yi’s face. After staying still for a while, she almost thought that she was drowsy and dazzled. The little guy had always been fierce and cold in front of her, how could he appear coy?

Seeing her look surprised, Xiao Yi curled up his fists on his side unconsciously, lowered his head and said, “Please help me, princess.”

Nian Nian asked, “What do you want me to help you with?” 

She thought he would refuse to ask her for help.

Xiao Yi whispered.

Nian Nian didn’t hear clearly, “What did you say?”

Xiao Yi blushed, his face was tight, and his voice seemed to come out of his teeth, “I want to relieve myself, so the princess needs to help me.”

Nian Nian: “…” 

She was all of the sudden happy, “So you struggled like a little wife for a long time, just for this?”

Xiao Yi lowered his eyelashes and clenched his fists.

The more Nian Nian thought about it, the happier she was: Call him fierce, call him cunning, but he actually has such a time? No wonder he was so coy before. For him, begging her for this kind of thing is probably more uncomfortable than killing him.

Xiao Yi became angry from embarrassment, “If the princess doesn’t want to, then forget it.”

Nian Nian hit the nail on the head, “Forget it, how? Will someone come to help you change the mattress tomorrow?”

Xiao Yi’s small face flushed immediately.  Looking at the little princess opposite, laughing and looking energetic, he felt angry, anxious and helpless. He didn’t want to ask her, but he had to ask. People had three urges. No matter how high his heart was, he couldn’t hold back the laws of nature. If he couldn’t hold it, he would lose face even more.

Nian Nian didn’t continue to embarrass him, she just thought that Xiao Yi’s small face was funny, so she deliberately teased him.

She bent over to Xiao Yi and held him by one arm.

Xiao Yi endured depression, and finally got up smoothly with the help of her support. His injury was severe, so his whole body was in too much pain. It was extremely difficult to continue to move, but he refused to let Nian Nian watch the joke, gritted his teeth and said nothing.

Nian Nian found the chamber pot and handed it to him, then turned her back thoughtfully.

Xiao Yi’s ears were so red that they were almost bleeding, and even the teary mole at the end of his eyes seemed to be stained with rouge. He endured shame and solved his needs.

Nian Nian cleaned up the chamber pot, yawned, helped him to lie down on the bed again,and was about to pick up the bucket that had been put aside before. Suddenly, Xiao Yi’s voice sounded, “It’s not a good idea to run away from home. If the princess wants to get rid of the predicament, she might as well hide for a few more days to make things worse.”

Half of Nian Nian’s drowsiness disappeared: Xiao Yi really knows about the original owner. So, is he trying to help?
