WAR OF AGES

"Okay, hurry up and bring the ladder here," Said Ray as he turns and looks at his back.

The soldiers who carried the ladder hurriedly put the ladder on the wall while the other soldier covers the ladder man with their shield taken from the dead Malacca soldier from the previous battle.

"Push them back, don't let them get into the wall hurry!!!" said the Malacca's officer. "Someone get the stone and throw it, hurry!!!" as he continued.

The other soldier who is behind them climb the ladder quickly and were expecting to get to the top of the wall when they near the top they quickly stop for a moment before the enemy soldier going to throw a stone before killed instantly by a Majapahit archer shooting at the poor soldier.

"Sir, they are so well-coordinated." shouted by the soldier near the outer wall.

"What do you mean?! soldier." as the officer shouted back.

"As we want to throw the rock down to the enemy soldier, the men were killed as they were gonna throw it down as if the enemy knew when they will appear on the wall." said the soldier as he turns his head back to the front

The officer was silent but after a few moments as he quickly orders the men to throw it near the wall with the help of another soldier as they threw the stone down from the wall as the action succeeded to kill few soldiers from the Majapahit soldier below the ladder.

"Good, now tell others to do the same." said the officer as he talks to another soldier. "Yes, Sir." said the other soldier.

The Malacca's soldier tells the same instruction to the other soldier as they carried and throw the stone down to the Majapahit soldier below the wall as they are climbing up the ladder before dying from the stone thrown at them as the Majapahit soldier seeing their fellow soldier died being crushed by the stone thrown by the enemy soldier, quickly he runs back to the camp telling the event to Agus.

"I already anticipated the enemy would throw a stone at our men but not like that, I don't want to send the Bahyang soldier back to the frontline as they have more limited time than before but..." said Agus before turning his head to his right where his general is on.

"Okay, sent few of them who are no longer in a tired state and with restricted order, after the initial attack they have to pull back their death would only beneficial to the enemy than our kingdom," said Agus as he looks at the general.

"Understood, right away sir." said the general.

"Oh, yeah also at the same time, tell the men to sent the siege tower but make sure the soldier arrive and clear the wall first before they are spotted and countered by the enemy." as Agus glance at another general beside the previous general.

The two general nodded before walking out of the camp but the two of them got a cold sweat dropping down to their neck before they called their men which is to carry the order as the first messenger was sent to the siege engine and the frontline soldier to prepare the attack of the wall while the second messenger was sent to the Bahyang soldier who is on the rear line.

As the messenger arrives on the tent where the Bahyang soldier was currently on before he was greeted by many of the soldiers as many of them were paralyzed unable to move as they need extra help with food while some of them could even sit on the top of the bed but they could only move part of their limbs either half of their leg, their hands or half of both their arm and leg as unlike the one who is paralyzed the one who managed to move able to do their daily needs but remember the suffering before the recovery.

While the messenger passes by the weak and vulnerable Bahyang soldier he sees another soldier who is able to stand as they were talking with one to another discussing their illness of being paralyzed as the messenger deliver the order to the available soldier, the soldier then turned silent as they remembered the word Agus once mentioned after the usage of the skill during their early training with the martial art and spiritual master.

"Not to mention the painful way of learning it you guys will suffer an after effect of it after each usage of the skill or the move... are you sure of it?" said Agus they were newly recruited and many of them shrugged it off as they thought he was scaring them off.

Remembering the word mentioned before then made most of the soldier who is currently available to turn paled in an instant as they see the messenger come giving a direct order from Agus as they were surprised before another exclamation that it was urgent and critical for the ongoing campaign and the next operation.

The soldier then turns and face each other as they weighing down the pros and cons before one of the soldiers nodded that he wants to join in, then continued with another until all of them who are present and available talked to the messenger as they want a debrief where they need to go.

"Understood, tell the lord that we will take care of it just tell us where we need to go" as one of the soldiers stated.

"OK, he said that..." as he walks out with the soldier of the tent before pointing out at the enemy wall "the order was to go there and hold the line for other soldiers to mount the wall until the army breach the gate." said the messenger as he turned his head back to the soldier.

Hearing the order the men who thought it was a hard mission for them and it was unexpectedly easy than they thought so few of them volunteer while the other was on stand by as they were waiting for further order from Agus, while those who volunteer walks out of the camp as they joined the main army and walking close to the wall before seeing them already at the place most would call a hell's gate as both armies were fighting for their kingdom or their very life.

With the sudden appearance of the Bahyang soldier to the frontline, the morale of the Majapahit's men was boasted and many of them started to fight with more vigor which in turn confused the Malacca's soldier who is standing as the defender while they were barely able to hold back the wall from the invader before realized the situation gone south and may spell their doom.

The Malacca at first shrug it off hoping it was nothing but before suddenly when the invader killed one of the soldiers who just threw down a stone at the enemy down below, surprising all the soldier who was on the wall before an enemy soldier came on the wall killing another soldier near him opening the path for his allies to get into the wall as he holds his ground.

The Malacca soldier who is on the wall were startled and were on guard against the lone man who goes on solo assault on the wall as they presume Bahyang soldier as he also looks back at them with all of them were watching each other as they stand their ground then the lone man put his sword back to the sheaths as he watches the enemy watching his movements, which insulted the defender of their pride as they were being belittled by him.

Unable to hold back one soldier from the malacca pulled his blade out of his sheaths as he walks to the side then suddenly his friend who carries a sword also joins in hoping to kill the lone soldier before another two soldiers carrying a long spear attempting to support from behind.

Surrounded from all side except the wall where the reinforcement should have made him scared or anxious but such terms don't seem to apply towards him instead he was relaxed and even stretch his back and arm as if making the four nearby enemies who were wary toward the lone man before the lone man pulls out his weapon remembering his officer to have any bladed weapon at his disposal, thought to be a provocation the Malacca spearmen quickly thrust their weapon at him.

The attempt to kill the man was avoided as he moves slightly to the side then followed with a cut to the spear but a sword comes from his left then he gets down and followed with a horizontal slash directly near the abdomen area but the attack was canceled as the attacker jumps backward knowing he would be killed if he stepped forward halting the suppression.

But at that very moments, the lone soldier quickly charged forward surprising the enemy support and disrupting them the men who were unlucky not only was he kicked directly on the stomach it was followed with a grab directly on the neck while the Malaccan who was watching was taken another surprise when the soldier was thrown to the long-spearmen as he charged to the swordmen to stab him.

Hoping to block the attack and let the other to finish him off but he was caught off guard with a more brutal attack as his hand was taken to the side before his other hand's was rammed by knee directly on the elbow breaking the joint after that very moment, another scream was heard on another and it echoes from one to another as the soldier who was holding his broken hand and wailing in pain was grabbed on his head which surprised him then in a quick motion he was slammed down on the floor that is made from stone.

As he was still awake holding himself not blacking out as his face still pouring out blood before suddenly another attack was directly on his stomach then followed with a final blow on with a headbutt knocking the person on the spot once finished half-killing the soldier this lone man put down the unconscious man while he stands and looks at the other as he also hopes to be rejoined with the army and reinforce him holding the ground or advance taking the wall for the kingdom.

As the man got himself nearly exhausted as death was approaching when one of the enemies thought a brilliant idea as he signals his friend for support as he nodded and followed along when the enemy soldier charge to the man straight on before dashing sideways planning to slice the man's c.h.e.s.t as he tries to avoid but he was surprised when the partner join ups doing the same thing and aiming at his waist with his spear

Barely avoiding the attack the man was scr.a.p.ed as he pressed his ground then look at his surrounding as another one strike once more before followed with the man crouching down to the floor next stabbing his sword at the soldier's stomach injuring him before being stabbed another time in the middle of his c.h.e.s.t as he goes limp before being pushed back to the ground dead with his back on the floor.

Even though surprised the other soldier still pressed on with his thrust to the man instead of touching and penetrating the flesh chunks or body part he was in for the surprise when he looks back at the person as the spear pass-through it while the man himself was still standing in place noticing he made a wrong move the man quickly slice from upward going down to his left injuring first before finishing up with a stab on the soldier's neck slowly killing him as he dropdown to the side before dying on the floor.

Even though the man was wounded but he was still able to fight back as he gets cornered to the wall and was close to passing out, he found himself surrounded knowing he would die before die but that was prevented when a soldier was running from the wall covering him then followed with a ladder hitting the wall then soldier gathering on the man before he was pulled to take a rest and was being treated by the supposedly a physician.

Before he was unconscious of being tired his eyes were on the battlefield and the other Majapahit soldier was flooding the wall from the other side of the wall before noticing a detail he never saw closely before as the siege tower was already opened it front door and was embedded in the wall as the soldier inside it storm in to the wall while the other was preparing to take care of the wounded and carry them out of the battle.

The system which is more sophisticated than any other kingdom as Agus was improvising each idea he took as it may have a drawback but for this plan where the soldier goes to the front while the physician takes care or carry them out of the battle and yet have the flaw.

"You are fine now and take some rest now," said the physician.

As the man was tired and knowing he was safe slowly his eyelid was closing before sleeping then carried away from the battlefield with an early form of a stretcher while the battle waged on the favor already falling to the Majapahit's hand as the Malacca has loosened their grip on the wall and being flanked from their side.
