WAR OF AGES

Surprised Agus looked at the serpent king fervently as he knew this may be the connecting link that caused her to want to be close with him no matter what happen, hearing the word that came out from the serpent king's word caused him to wonder 'Is there perhaps a reason for her to do all those incident before?'"True? from what I could remember, I only manage to save those young foxes while just barely survive it when they are still young, they even lost their parents because I couldn't protect even half of them," said the serpent king as his remembering regret.

"Wait, what?" as Agus was shocked by his statement."Did you ever meet her when she is young?" said Akbar in surprise."I did manage to save their parents but because the attacker was overwhelming in numbers and my power was exhausted, I could barely hold on before their parent put their children to sleep and tell me to take them away before their parents killed by the attacker," said the serpent king with remorse as he reminiscing his memory."So that the reason..." said Agus knowing her sad past."And before I know it she came to visit me while saying "You stink, old man" which surprised me because the only one who could say that way of talking is only her father who is my drinking buddy back then but the odd things are she never knew me but how did she remember my smell is still a puzzle for me as she was still a child back then and her sense of smell should not be that sharp to distinguish me even though she was the oldest of them all," said the serpent king as he sighs sadly.

Hearing the story the two people who listened to it could not do anything but Agus who listened felt extreme sadness as he never learns the reason why did she always tries to get close to him before she always tries to help him however she can which made him felt useless after all those years when he was with her as he pitied himself of the lack awareness.

"Ah, Pardon me let me introduce myself, my name is Renasyah Krishna the Serpent king. you may call Renas for short" said Renas as he smiled at the two."Renas may I ask for your help of the outside..." as Akbar anxiously said before turning his head at Agus."Well, it's like this..." said Agus.

Agus who is the king explained that he comes to this place, not by purpose but was merely a coincidence a chance that he found out by investigating the local as he explained that he came because the Malacca would threaten his kingdom if he let it be and let it come back to him later on thus he decided to destroy them to stop them from ever-growing stronger.

"... Okay, then I'll do it but only for momentarily" said Renas after he sighs tiredly."Well it must be too much to ask for you joining me so it's not surprising, you may visit here time to time you know," said Agus as he smiles wryly."Good, good then I'll visit you when it's peacetime," said Renas after laughing loudly.

Agus knew that he couldn't force or coerce him as he always follows his policy of not forcing others to his will unless they harmed others, him, or someone he knew while sighing in relief he let him do whatever he wanted.

"If you want me to join that much then... you could find an item, no it's something like an herb... not sure, you can find it but it's really difficult to find or made it so..." said Renas as he requested to Agus."Hm? sure, what is it" said Agus while looking at Renas as he raises his eyebrows."It's the Life potion," said Renas as he smiled."Huh? ... that's how do I say it, my familiar once actually managed to make what you mentioned about," said Agus as he looked at Renas in surprise before scratching his head in bewilderment."Huh?! wait, what?" it's Renas turn of getting stunned " Really, then do you have it?" then he grabbed Agus by the collar."Wait, hold on if I say I had it. The one who held it and knew the recipe it's my familiar" said Agus as he put his hand on Renas hand."Serpent king if you could let go of your hand at his highness," said Akbar who looked at him as he would be unable to pull Rena's grip off from Agus's cloth."Ah? sorry about it... I mean being with a wound that hardly able to heal so I haven't been able to leave this for the very long time... so I'm a bit crazy right now with no one to talk to" said Renas as released his grip from Agus's cloth."I understand normally for a human just five years is already long enough so it's not ridiculous if you who is a guardian beast never gone out after thousands of years," said Agus as he looks at Renas."Good, good if you are like that then just see me as your father in law then I meant she always sees me as her second father when her father still alive," said Renas as he laughed in the end."I'll do that later... Please don't joke around of being Father in law, please" said Agus as he sighs in the end.

Knowing Agus succeded in gaining aid for the next but momentarily battle it should be enough for them to hold back the massive manpower that charge to them with the help of the serpent king as Agus wanted to leave the place.

"Agus, let's have a little match I want to see after a long time of rest does my body get rusty or not so let's have a spar, yes?" as Renas grinned while raising one of his hand."... Well, sure why not?" said Agus as he turns around while putting his left hand on the sheath "Akbar lent him your sword if it broke I tell the swordsmith to make one for you by custom order" as he turns his head to Akbar."... understood, my lord as you wish" said Akbar as he untightens his sword scabbard.

Akbar slowly walks to the Renas and given his sword fo him where Renas slowly pulls the blade out of the sheath then started checking it to see the durability of it while looking at it Renas smile while commenting of how good the Akbar is in taking care of the blade it hardly has any rust on it as he observed it.

"Truly a magnificent sword, you must properly take care of it, must come from your great grandfather correct?" said Renas as he glanced at Akbar."Yes, my father said it started from our ancestor," said Akbar indifferently."Hoho... is there perhaps a person by the name of Gerhana Adi Putra in your ancestral line or perhaps Arahman Krishna? said Renas with unsure tone."Not sure, my father once said my great grandfather came from the west I'm not sure my family has those names you mentioned but I do remember my family once bought this sword. when my great grandfather is still young and alive, so perhaps that person's relative is out there somewhere," said Akbar while looking at Renas with apologetic looks."No, it's fine since I'm still not sure you are related or not," said Renas before turning his head back toward Agus "Okay before we start the sparing let's move to a bit better location shall we?" as he continues and walk ahead first."Okay," said Agus as he follows.

The two walked to another place where a small field is located while Akbar who is a normal soldier stayed and watched at the bridge even it is boring for others but it doesn't bore him much as he always been happy when he had nothing to do and wait the day passed. Back on Agus who followed Renas noticed the field was very small that he almost thought it was a soccer field as he glanced on it where it was entirely covered in weed, Renas who looks over the field slowly put his hand at the height of his c.h.e.s.t before opening his mouth as if enchanting something while his gaze on it.

"XXXX XXXXXXX XXXXXXX," whispered Renas as a glowing orb appeared on his left hand.

After a few moments, later a small whirlwind appeared on Renas's hand after glowing orb disappeared then the entire field which is covered in grass slowly wave around as if the wind was there even though there is no ventilation so the air was a little humid then the wind fly over them as it moves through the field and when it reached the end of the field had made the entire field of weed were cut short. Agus was not that surprised as his familiar could do the same but he was little amazed at his control on magic as it was more refined than his other familiar, unlike Akbar who is more amazed and even shown dumbfounded looks as he stares at how the wind cut over the weed with ease.

"Hm? what type of magic or... sorcery can you use?" said Agus while raising his eyebrows."Sorcery?" before laughing at Agus " That's is no sorcery it was what we of the gods would call Creation," said Renas with a smile."Creation is the highest abilities of us gods could use but because I mainly use martial arts I hardly master it only manage to control it to certain degrees like what you just see before," said Renas while looking sadful "Don't praise me about it, I have a friend who has more refined control than mine... I haven't met with her again after so long" as he sighs in the end."Friend? so when was the last time you met with her anyway, if I might ask?" said Agus."Well if I would say when... hmm, maybe around 50 years before that fight I guess," said Renas while putting his thumb on his forehead while showing pouting looks. Renas then started to warm up his body by exercise then stretching his leg from left and right repeatedly while Agus who carries a spear on his back pull the upper closer to his dace looking at the tip of the spear which is sharp sufficient enough to kill a person while thinking should he made it dull or not.

"There's no need to worry about it, I may look like this but I'm strong enough for not getting wounded by that kind of spear," said Renas as he punched on his c.h.e.s.t proudly."I guess so," said Agus forgetting the person in front of him were a guardian beast"Sometimes I also forgot that my familiar is not a human " as he continues before scratching his head."Hoho, not human you say. no wonder you are not surprised when you meet me for the first time," said Renas before ending with a gentle smile "Well, shall we begin the fight? then" as he continues talking before disappeared from Agus's view.

Agus who always been wary against a strong opponent he expected Renas to appear either left side, right side or backside then where he noticed a killing aura from his top left side before Renas suddenly appeared from where Agus had expected from as he quickly blocks the attack head-on.

"Ho, you are quite s.e.n.s.i.t.i.v.e to killing intent as expected for someone. she sees as her master but that is still not enough," said Renas as he moves forward for another jump.

Passed over Agus he swiftly turns his body around while seizing the chances with an attack on his attack left where the attack was directed at Agus's right waist, where Agus managed to turn his head in time and followed a jump to the side while at the same time he blocks another attack from Renas where he was thrown away by that attack.

Barely holding onto his consciousness over the after impact Agus quickly balance himself during mid-air so he would get to the ground faster and able to prepare his self for another attack that would come sooner or later, Renas this time tried to increase the difficulty to a double attack where his normal attack would normally cause a person to fall unconscious from the impact he made and seeing Agus who still manage to survive under his attack had made him being more excited by Agus's struggle which is surprisingly stimulated his spirit for battle who had no longer been in battle for so long.

"You just made me remember the excitement in the past," said Renas as he looks at Agus."Really? that's kinda horrifying" said Agus as he watched Renas movements."Okay if she acknowledged you as her master then should I'll increase it to four attacks and that should make this the last attack from me," said Renas as he smiles "so how about it" while he put his finger on his chin as he continues."I will endure it... I should have endured it a long time ago," said Agus watching Renas more closely while preparing himself."No... it's impossible. You wouldn't even able to defend against it and it's more unbearable for me even you always being praised by her," said Renas as he runs to Agus before suddenly disappeared.

Agus was dumbfounded by Renas's word before noticing a sudden appearance of killing intent that came from his right side where he quickly turns his head towards it but Renas did not appear from there but instead opposite of where he was currently looking coming at him fast, Agus who has trained in the close quarter as well as magic in the Call of Sign already receptive to the sudden appearance of the enemy and ambushes so such attack did not make him panic by the slightest as he raises his sword to block the incoming attack.

Unawares the attack was an only distraction as Renas's attack reached Agus's sword his body suddenly changed into the water as it splashed at Agus where he remembered from the villager before and Akbar that the Serpent king actually could use water and wind a minute after wiping the water away from his eyes he quickly turns to the back where Renas already launched an attack on him where he tried to parry it away and when it connected he couldn't do it as the impact was not focused on one spot making it more difficult to do so.

Barely holding it back, Renas turned around followed a kick that comes from Agus's right side so fast that he barely avoid it as he was held down in place with the sword before being kicked to the side where he hit the wall nearby so hard that he coughed in blood because the crash had caused him an internal injury looking at Renas with his left eye the person that inflicted the wound watched over him but not so wary and that action made Agus a bit angry because of it but because the pain he let it go right away.

"Oh, still awake... but it seems you barely awake," said Renas mockingly."... Urgh." Agus tried to stand with one eye open."What did I say?" said Renas as he raised his two hands as if exhausted by it"I won't be down again, I will lose something important to me because of it... not again," said Agus as he crawls.

Agus who is trying to reach the sword where he previously released because of the impact after crashing the wall managed to grab it as he quickly grabs it then stabbed to the ground while he pushing himself upward half-standing while also gazing back to Renas.

"Hoh, I'm impressed you manage to withstand the extreme pain I just inflicted... really, outstanding," said Renas looking at Agus while clapping lightly."As expected... the pain, is really... unbearable, Urgh" as Agus vomited blood after talking."Don't you go unconscious now?" said Renas teasing Agus."Since it's... like this... let's do it... all the way," said Agus as he stands up just barely. Agus who was on the ground stabbed the sword he just taken back as he tried to push himself back up while gazing at Renas with one eye looking back at him."From what I see your stance is that of a spear user so why not change into that, hmm," said Renas as he looks at Agus."I really, am a spear user but, since my opponent is someone, like you who are specialized, with sword then, I have to do it, no matter how hard, it is for me... even painful it is for me," said Agus as he started to breath heavier."Well, isn't that like pushing your luck...
