Sam was punched in his stomach as his whole body fell to the ground, causing him to produce a loud crash. He heard laughters from the boys as they continuously kicked him in his shin and legs. One of them switched position and begun hitting his arms while the other boys were taking pictures of him.

It was horribble, but he knew there's nothing he can do about it. He did try to tell the authorities but the bullies were too powerful and he always fail to recieve the fair justice he needed. He was being attacked almost everyday and lately it's been getting worse. He would usually passed out of exhaustion, and he can tell he's getting used to it.

After a couple minutes of receiving heavy blows from the bullies, they noticeably got tired and slowed their motions. They g.r.o.a.n.e.d in tiredness as they walked away.

Sam cautiously got up as soon as the boys got out of his sight, checking every inch of his body. As he was expecting, there were hurtful bruises and scars. He tried to walk properly but he couldn't. There is a sudden jolt of pain for every step he make. He brushed his dusted white polo and navy blue pants as he headed towards his next class.

The usual thing occured, no one noticed his presence the moment he entered the room. Despite of his pitiful appearance, no one dared to give him a company or even ask him if he's fine. Everyone believed that if they went near Sam, they would also get the same treatment from the bullies. And that made them visibly terrified.

The school day passed with tons of seatworks, lectures and class discussions. Nothing is special about this, Sam thought. He was intelligent and everybody knows that. He can pass every single exam effortlessly. In fact, even though he doesn't focus during the discussions, he could still get above average level of grades.

As soon as the class was dismissed, he hastily ran through the corridors heading towards the school gate. He run as if his life depends on it, well honestly speaking, yes. He don't want to get beaten again. He was fortunate to escape the bullies just before they spotted him.

"Finally" he said in a very tiring tone of voice.

"But I'm running out of money!" Sam yelled on the phone before hearing a disconnect tone. His uncle just called him, informing him that his allowance will be delayed.

Sam is living in a plain house alone. His parents died in a car accident when he was eleven years old. Since then, he had to live on his own. No one likes to adopt him, not even his relatives. The only thing that's keeping him alive was the financial support of his family. And now, he had almost nothing on his pocket and the bad news about his allowance really upset him.

He let out a sigh of exhaustedness as he clicked the Mobile Legends icon on his phone. This was his time killer; A way to break free from the reality for a short span of time. He decided to play rank game since he was already in Legend I, and only one star left to rank up to Mythic.

He played the game with a building rage of emotions. All of his anger, sadness, pain and sorrow was alongside of his character as he wrathfully control his favorite hero, Gusion.

The game ended with a heartbreaking result. Defeat. With that, he furiously threw his phone on the bed and bursted into tears.

"Everything about me.....my classmates, my family, my life. I really hate my life!" He uttered in a raspy voice "Playing games is the only thing that's making me happy. But what now?? Even the game made me feel so downhearted" He yelled, continuously producing tears from his reddening eyes.

He slowly bended his body and hugged his knees. Sam knew he's a strong person. He never gave up about anything, not even on the biggest problem of his life.

"But I can't be strong all the time" he whispered. "I just wish everything about the game is true, so I'll just escape this stupid life" he continued as he wept away the forming tears on his cheek.

He eventually proceeded to his bed as he blinked his eyes occasionally. He leisurely stretched his arms and took something from the pocket of his backpack. It was a necklace, with a design of golden wings at the bottom. This was the last bithday present he had received from his parents, and he value it more than anything. It was something genuinely precious to him. He wore the necklace and kept his eyes shut as he laid his body on the small bed.

"Everything will be alright" He whispered.
