What A Dream Wants

After eating dinner, Steven returned to his dorm, exhausted. His bones were aching, his body was quaking.

The distinct sound of crickets could be heard outside his dorm. The chirping was somewhat soothing, at least dispelling the silence of the night.

He decided to continue reading the books he had borrowed from the library.

"Cultivation ranks are boundaries. Overcoming one means a massive advancement in one's strength. But often times, they are limits that some mortals will never be able to cross in their lifetime. This structures a general path of cultivation, however, this is not everyone's path.

Mortal Realm

Jing- Essense, and Yuan Qi are innate.

Body Tempering: Acc.u.mulation of Kong Qi, Gu Chi, Yin Qi*, and Yang Qi commence naturally.

Yin Qi*- Nourishing Qi

Yang Qi*- Defensive Qi

Earth Realm- Requirements: Enough qi is collected to form Zong Qi.

1. Gathering Qi- Gu Chi* and Kong Qi* combine to form Zong Qi.

2. Qi Condensation- Condense part of a cultivator's Zong qi into a liquid state. Called Spiritual Sea. Spiritual Qi is not as manipulatable as Zong Qi.

3. Core Formation- Compress part of the Spiritual Sea into a solid state, called a Jindan.

(Meridians are generally all opened in the Earth realm to achieve a stable foundation.)

Gu Chi*- Energy from food

Kong Qi*- Energy From the air

Houtian Realm/Prenatal Realm- Requirements: Unlock lower Dantian.

4. Xia Dantian- One's lifespan can be extended at this level. Unlocks the Golden Stove.

5. Zhong Dantian- One's spirit can be strengthened at this level. Previous reincarnations are accessible at this level. Unlocks the Crimson Palace.

6. Shang Dantian- One's spiritual limit and Qi boundaries are extended at this level. Those at this level are able to use Divine sense. Unlocks the Muddy Pellet.

(Each Dantian tier is a separate level.)

Heaven Realm/Xiantian Realm- Requirements:

-Open meridians

-Body Tempering

-Soul Tempering

-Mastery of a Dao

-Sufficient Qi...

-Heaven Tribulation, if cultivator wishes to go against the heavens. Ie. commit a lot of sins. This is why cultivators are not advised to unlock previous reincarnations before they reach Heaven realm.

7. Saint- Open the Gates of Life

8. Demigod- Close the Gate of Death

9. God Realm- Faith.

Steven was forgetting a lot of this, so he decided to refer to chapter 5, 19, and especially 36-38.

The night was only getting darker.

He soaked in a lazy warm bath. It soothed his aching muscles, and his energy would probably be replenished after a good night's rest.

He decided to brush his teeth and forget all of this in his sleep.
