When Back In Time

IT'S BEEN two days since Pepe 2 disappeared.

The house was silent and lonely.

'Did he really have the wristwatch or Agustin just lied to me? But even if he lied, where os Pepe 2 anyway? Why he's not here? Why he's still not yet home?' she thought to herself.

She was also curious, how did Agustin and Pepe 2 become friends?

A knock on the door made her stop from her train of thoughts.

"That must be him," she whispered to herself and immediately went outside Pepe 2's study room. She crossed the living room and opened the entrance door.

But instead of meeting Pepe 2, she was welcomed by two men in blue uniforms. She was about to close the door when the two guardia civil (civil guards) kicked the door that made Esperanza flew and landed on the floor. Her nose was bleeding after the wooden door hit on her face.

"Kamusta," a man said. (Hello!)

Esperanza lifted her head. She blinked because of the harsh light. She opened it again and eyed the man. It was Agustin. He was standing before her with a face full of bruised and mended wounds. His face was pretty damaged. His hands were on his h.i.p.s.

"The heck!" she blurted out, "How did you escape?"

"It does not matter," he said. His face turned cold and his smile became a sinister one. He commanded his men, "Hawakan niyo siya nang mahigpit. May ituturo lang akong leksyon sa kanya." (Hold her tightly. I have something to teach her)

The two civil guards held her and the latter struggled to escape their grasps.

"You know, I really hate to hit a woman," he said.

"Hate?" she asked and looked at her mockingly, "So what's now? Are you trying to act like a gentleman? Acting chivalrous or something? You know, that's ironic. Because I still remembered you shot me on the leg and left me to die. That's not a chivalrous thing to do."

Agustin looked at her coldly, "Right." He clicked his tongue, "I guess, no hesitation then."

He closed the door behind him before he faced her again.

Outside, her screams could be heard and no one was there to help her.
