Some were desert between Yuma Arizona and El Centro California. There is an interstate eight that stretches all the way from Casa Grande Arizona to San Diego California. It along deselects road a person could be broken down there and not see another human for hours. Ezafe was rolling down the road in his new Freightliner Sprinter he brought a pallet of lettuce and tomatoes from Yuma to Scotts Dale Arizona. He saw flashing four-way flasher in the distance as he got closer that is when he saw a pickup, so he pulled over and then he found that it was a lone man by himself.

This person here is what he had been waiting on the man was alone he is easily overpowered, but he needed to make sure that the man would not be missed. Ezafe got out and walked back to him where the man was changing the tire on his pickup he was a border patrol agent, so this was not the one to start with. Need any help officer? Na thank though for asking I just finished were you heading to you're the first car I have seen almost all night? I am taking produce to Scottsdale then I got to be back to Yuma by Friday. Ah ok be careful there are a lot of illegals crossing between here and there. They like to pass at night and hate you were to hit anyone. Me too officer and thank you for the information I will be extras careful as he turned and walked back to the van and got in. The officer was right there were a lot of illegal aliens that cross the border they would not miss one or two people a week. He could start an army here and never worried about being found out tell it was too late.

Well, we are finally back home to Bakersfield what you think Steve Patty asked? Well, it is a lot brighter and defiantly a lot busier than I remember it being he laughed. I was only eighteen when I was here than a few years later I met Shelly there in Twenty-Nine Palms he started to get quiet thinking back to his family he lost. Well Brian Jr said to him bringing him back to the present we are going to go to the beach uncle Steve, and we can learn to surf? He Laughs sure and as soon as we get moved into the new apartments.

They arrived at their new apartments and began the process of getting settle in and waiting for the movers to bring n there belonging. Later that evening they had settled in, and they were all pretty tired. So, they decided to go out to a local café and get dinner and call it a night Steve left them alone and decided he would go out to explore the town for the evening. He remembers the song Streets of Bakersfield by Buck Owens a local celebrity. He drove around for a while and was about to turn on the street he lived. On when he noticed a little kitten sitting on the curb it looked lost and scared it touch Steve because it was kind of like him in this big new world alone.

He pulled over and went back to where the kitten was it looked up at him and didn't try to run. It was just too tired he pick it up and rubbed its back and rubbed it chin it started purring and enjoying the attention from then on Steve knew he had a thing that needed him. The kitten was a sold ball of black fur, and it had the blueish grey eyes kittens are born with, so it meant the kitten was about maybe a month old he thought.

Next morning, he awoke to a knock on the door it was Brian Sr he had woken Steve up 0700 that morning. Yea lets get some coffee I want to discuss the new job we start tomorrow Brian said as he walked in. Steve half asleep still set in his recliner and looked at Brian for a moment and jumped down and started playing with a piece of paper the kitten full of energy in his l.a.p and looked at Brian like your noisy human. I see you have made a new friend last night Steve smiled and said yeah. I did I saw him sitting out there by the curb alone and thought he needed a new home and start like me he laughed. Well, Brian said tomorrow is Monday. We are supposed to meet Special Agent Stevens in Ontario office at 0900 I figured we go today and get a motel room there and relax and maybe go to a gun range and practice a little bit. I like that idea Steve said think you get little Brian to watch furbutt here for me? Sure, I am sure he loves it, and Patty is working from home, so she can get the kitten food and cat litter if you want to ask her. Na I get that while we are at the café, Steve said. Furbutt looked up and Steve and meowed that she was hungry again and Steve picked her up and took her into the kitchen and poured her another small container of cream he had. He rubbed her back for a second, and he headed out the front door going to the café with Brian.
