The whole wing was stunned silent at the sudden announcement."Maybe one of the boys is pranking us with the PA system?" A girl suggested.

A few of the girls shrugged it off and carried on with what they were doing while a few stayed back and relied on the two leaders for instructions.

Precious took the initiation to lead the girls and told them to do what they have to do and meet up in the center wing after. Next, she forwarded a message to the group chat with only the five leaders inside informing them of the last-minute meeting.

Yaorui let Precious use the shower first on the excuse that she wasn't finished unpacking yet. In addition to that, she had bought quite a few things today.

Angli was decent enough to let her bring her own bags to her room and not enter the East wing.

She placed her body and face care items to the side to be brought to the bathroom and reorganized her books. The main reason Angli didn't want her carrying her own things was mainly because of the stacks of books she had bought. She had textbooks, both fiction and no-fiction books, notebooks, piano books, and a few bookmarks allow with some pens, pencils, cases, etc. Long story short, she bought a lot.

In the end, her side of the room ended up having insufficient shelf space for her books, and she was forced to make room for them in her closet. She'll use the home phones tomorrow to see what they could do.Just as she finished dusting off her hands, her roommate came out with damp hair dressed in her nightwear.

"I'm done, I'll wait for you to come out and then head down with you,"

Before they left, they made sure to inform the loitering girls to meet up in the living room when they were done.

The majority of the boys were already there, snacking and chatting. Jian Nu, Ysa, and Da Lingyue were in the kitchen preparing the food along with a few others.

Yaorui lagged behind Precious a bit as they made their way to Long Ao and the other year's leaders.

Qi Ming Ming was the first year's leader and had a thin build. He had some acne and sported chubby checks, no doubt baby fat from his early years. It looks like the guy hadn't hit puberty yet either. The boy was also shorter than her by a mere centimetre, an observation that she took pride in. You couldn't find a lot of people shorter than 150cm around her age.

The other leader was none other than Xun Shouhan, if you're asking why it isn't her sister, it's because her sister was bad at communicating.

Xun Shouhan other hand was able to communicate well and read situations easily due to his high EQ. Though when it came to feelings, he was pretty dense. The boy stood at about 165cm and still growing, he had a somewhat bulky but lean build. He was the type to look skinny but be packed with muscles once you got a closer look. His skin, too, suffered a few imperfections, including a small scar on his right cheek and a few breakouts on his forehead.

The three boys seemed to be discussing a light-hearted topic, presumably waiting for them to show up.

"Good, you guys are here," Long Ao was the first to notice them. "And yes, the announcement thing was real, looks like we're under lockdown,"

"Can we head out to the backyard, at least?" Precious asked.

"We're aren't sure yet, the lines are busy right now, so we plan to call in tomorrow," Shouhan answered.

Yaorui nodded and switched topics, "What are our plans for the rest of the night?"

"The design team has a few crest sketches they wanna share along with a few clothing designs. We are planning to open one of the extra rooms in the central wing for the design team to work their magic and another for instruments and stuff. We already have one for the messy artists and the chefs. That leaves us with 8 free rooms, 6 if we count the design and instruments," Qi Ming Ming filled them in on the situation.

"We can make a few of them into study spaces, add a few artificial walls and soundproofing to make smaller rooms in the extra rooms," She suggested.

Precious gave it a thought before speaking up, "That would be good for exam season if we even have one," Qi Ming Ming nodded, understanding both her's and Precious's reasoning and added the new idea to his tablet.

"Now that we have that issue settled, what do you guys think about the announcement?" Long Ao peeped up, "It kinda sucks, but I wanna know what happened,"

"Agreed, it'd be nice to know why we're under lockdown in the first place," Precious nodded her head thoughtfully.

"Dinner's ready!!!!!!!" A shout came from behind them. Like a pack of wolves, everybody raced to the dining table in search of a good seat.

But upon realizing that dinner was set up like a buffet, everybody found themselves saving seats for friends or claiming their seats using slippers.

Knowing that it was already 9:00pm, she wasn't surprised by their ravenous behaviour.

Once everyone had finally settled down at the table, a curious student spoke up, "Since this whole lockdown thing is actually a thing, we don't have to exercise, right?"

Precious looked the student dead in the eye, "You young lady, have three extra sets of push-ups tomorrow," The whole table g.r.o.a.n.e.d, "And everyone who g.r.o.a.n.e.d just now can join her,"

After that, no one made another sound regarding tomorrow's workout in fear of extended punishment.

"Other than workouts, what else is on the list?"

"We'll leave that up to you, just check with one of us if the idea sounds crazy or harmful," Long Ao pointed a fork at the students with crazy ideas already going through their heads. Their faces became crestfallen immediately.

Speaking of crests, she suddenly remembered the design team's presentation.

"Now that everyone is settled, how's our design team doing?" All heads turned to the six people busily slurping their noodles. When it came to their attention that everybody was looking at them expectantly, they ceased their loud slurping and processed her words. Collectively, they finished their noodles, wiped their faces, gathered their things, and readied for their presentation.

Yuan Fa Ren cleared his throat, embarrassed at his lack of preparation. "Originally, we had planned to use a phoenix, but due to the colour assignment, we had to choose something else,"

Wei Ye, a graphic designer, picked up where Fa Ren left off, "The first one is a sky or water dragon, we hadn't picked one yet, and the second one is a Maltese tiger (literally a blue tiger), although the fur isn't our shade of blue, we can make some adjustments without changing the tiger's fur, make the background space blue or something,"

Next up, Anuska, a first-year transfer from Nepal, projected their designs onto the wall. "Each of us made our own designs then chose our favourites, this is Yuan Fa Ren's," Fa Ren's design showed a water dragon coiled around the crest. The crest had five gold stars on top, representing the five on their flag. The middle star was the largest of five, while the rest were equal in size. In the center was a white and blue plum blossom, plum blossoms were the national flower of China, hence the choice. Plum blossoms are often mixed up with cherry blossoms because of the similar features they had.

The next design was by Xie Helin, a male fourth-year that was talented in architecture design.His design used both creatures and displayed them will. A tiger was placed on each side of the crest with their front paws up, making it seem like they were holding it. In the center of the crest was a sky dragon with bejewelled eyes.

The third design was by Anuska and a fourth-year welder named Chuan Si (male), it featured another dragon coiled around a blue gem with gem eyes. At first glance, the design looked simple, but if you looked closer, you could see all the little details. The gem had a mini skyline in it while the dragon had details on every scale.

The fourth design was by their interior and exterior designer, Ye Wuze, another male from the fourth year. Because he wasn't so good at drawing animals. He drew a simple roaring tiger and gave it a bit of a 3D effect.

The fifth design was by Wei Ye, it had dragons supporting on the side and a tiger in the middle. It was the exact opposite of Xia Helin's, save for a few minor details.

"And that concludes our presentation," Announced Chuan Si announced.

In the end, everybody was stumped between Fa Ren's design and the design made by both Anushka and Chuan Si.Eventually, they came to a conclusion, and Yuan Fa Ren was announced the winner.

"Remember, everyone has to be up by 10:00am for the workout. Otherwise, you're gonna have to wait till lunch to eat," Precious glared at every suspicious person before they were all dispersed for bed.

But before Yaorui's target could leave, she grabbed his arm.

"Can I ask you for a favour?" Chuan Si gave her a look and nodded slowly."That crest design, I really like it! Do you think you can make for me, but as a necklace?"

"I suppose so?"

"Great! Thank you!"

To be honest, that wasn't her only reason for asking. After the results were announced, she saw his disappointed expression, he reminded her a bit of Anshi when she had scored second in a competition.

"What was that about?" Gebao looked over her shoulder at Chuan Si, who had already turned his back.
