Who Said A Mosquito Can't Cultivate?

Chapter 22 - Blood Buffet

I stood on the back of a random deer I decided to start s.u.c.k.i.n.g blood from as to start this blood buffet of mine. I know I bargained over this a while ago, but the fact that I could still suck 80% of the 252 deer that are currently within this clearing is still astounding.

And that's just because I decided that it would be disappointing to fight against an arrogant bear that lost its willpower in front of me. I know it's just a type of defense mechanism, but man does it suck when you come across it.

Well...before I go ahead and start s.u.c.k.i.n.g blood, I should go and calculate how much deer I should suck blood from according to the proposal, as well as the amount of blood points I would get to allocate afterwards.

Wait a minute. Since I'll be killing all of these deer before s.u.c.k.i.n.g their blood, doesn't that mean I'm going to have a ton of Bloodl.u.s.t Points I could use? Things that need blood points are fine, but using Bloodl.u.s.t Points is quite a pain in the noggin.

Before I go ultra off topic, let me do some quick maths to calculate the amount of deer I'll suck blood from. 2 plus 2 is 4, that's certain. Then, 4 minus 1 is equal to 3. This is some very quick maths, but I can do faster.

Eighty percent of 252 deer is equal to 201.6 deer. When rounded up, it's equal to 202 deer. Now that's pretty big and pretty quick maths. Let's go and do some slightly bigger and slightly quicker maths.

Taking what I did a while ago as a basis to the amount of blood points each deer has, a deer has around 330 to 350 points worth of blood within them. Multiplying that to 202, I would be getting a grand total of...holy shit.

What in the ever loving f.u.c.k did I agree to? This is basically a f.u.c.k.i.n.g jackpot. Okay, fine. I feel pretty grateful that I decided to not fight against the bear. Why?

I estimated that I would probably get around 5000 points of blood from s.u.c.k.i.n.g these deer at the very least, right? Haha. What an incredible underestimation I have done.

After my quick maths, I calculated that I would be getting at the very least 67 thousand points of blood. Let me repeat that again. Sixty seven. Thousand. Points. Of blood. Unbelievable.

Of course, that's just the b.a.r.e minimum. Since the amount of blood varies between the deer, I could even get around 69,696 points of blood...which is pretty great if that happens.

Anyways, quick math session over. Time to go on a big a.s.s blood buffet!

Sharp Needle+!

Paralysis Imbuement+!

Poke!

Rather than aim for its throat to kill it, I just decided to poke through its back and aim for the spine, which would still kill it either way. With the fact that these deer wouldn't even flinch when I attack them as said so by the bear, I could pretty much attack them wherever I wanted to. Well...the deer I attacked couldn't even flinch in the first place since I injected paralysis fluid into it, but you get the point.

Ding!

'You have successfully killed a Deer!'

'You have obtained a Bloodl.u.s.t Point.'

'You have obtained 31 points of Impure Blood Energy from killing this creature.'

After killing this first deer, I just realized that...I'm going to have to look at these notifications over two hundred times. I'm pretty sure that I'd be losing my sanity if I looked at these notifications over and over again for a long while, but hey, free blood for upgrades.

Slurp.

'The corpse is now deprived of its unmoving blood.'

Thud.

With the corpse I s.u.c.k.e.d dry falling down onto the ground with a thud, that marked the first deer I s.u.c.k.e.d dry out of a total of 202 deer. It gave around 340 points of blood, which put my current total of points in my storage to around 600 after factoring in the blood I had before this all even happened.

Now...where is this blood going to go? Well, where else could it go other than to my physique?

...

Of course I know that I have other areas in the system where I could use my hard earned points of blood, but I'm upgrading my physique as first priority as it's a bottomless pit where tons of blood points only give a negligible boost.

Then again, once my physique reaches a decent enough level, this is going to make multiple beings quake and shiver in fear when they see my body...as if a mosquito's body is scary.

Ding!

'600 points of Impure Blood Energy have been consumed.'

'Eyes (1/2) -> (MAX)'

'Antennae (1/2) -> (MAX)'

'Proboscis (1/2) -> (MAX)'

Now that I think about it, I could probably go and upgrade my physique multiple times, but that would end me up in a case where I have an incredibly great physique that boosts my original constitution to a great level, but I don't really want that to happen.

To be honest, I've quite neglected the main skills that got me to this level of power, namely my storage and blood s.u.c.k.i.n.g efficiency skills. If I want to turn into a legendary immortal mosquito of legends (redundancy intended), I'm gonna have to boost up my foundation...

After I upgrade my physique by two levels or so, of course. I still have like 66 thousand points worth of blood to go through, so I don't see why not?

...

A few minutes have passed since I started this s.u.c.k.i.n.g spree of mine. I have just killed the third deer, bringing my point count to my current maximum. Of course, these points went towards...

Ding!

'600 points of Impure Blood Energy have been consumed.'

'Torso (1/2) -> (MAX)'

'Wings (1/2) -> (MAX)'

'Limbs (1/2) -> (MAX)'

My physique, naturally. A prompt popped up not long after, asking me if I would like to upgrade my physique by using 500 points of blood. I then s.u.c.k.e.d two more deer to bring my point count to maximum capacity, only to accept the prompt.

Ding!

'500 points of Impure Blood Energy have been consumed.'

Whoosh!

As usual, when upgrading my physique, I felt a gentle breeze cover my body as a warm energy circulated throughout my internals, giving me a feeling of increased strength. Not long after, I got a notification of my physique being upgraded. Hm, my elemental affinity was also upgraded as well. Very nice.

'Your physique has been successfully upgraded.'

'Physique Level: Untapped -> Inferior'

'Your elemental affinity has also been successfully upgraded.'

'Current bonus: 8% boost to efficiency of Space-based skills, 8% boost to qi gathering proficiency.'

Surprisingly, as I upgraded my physique to this next level, the qi that was contained in my dantian took on a dark color. The color is quite similar to the darkness of space, pretty cool to be honest.

And with that, the level of my physique now had a proper title of sorts, which is multiple levels better than having my physique being called useless. Then again, calling my physique untapped is better sounding than inferior, but the system is just like that sometimes.

Of course, with my physique reaching the Inferior level, I took a look at the point requirement needed to upgrade a part by a level, each part having 3 levels each this time. And let me tell you...it's a big jump from the previous physique.

"500 points per part...how much points would I have to fork out to max it out and upgrade it?" I could not help but mutter as I s.u.c.k.e.d two deer dry out of their blood, deciding to upgrade my Second Blood Storage in the meantime. By the looks of it, upgrading my Second Blood Storage to a higher level is undoubtedly needed if I wanted to upgrade a lot of things.

So, I s.u.c.k.e.d about 12 deer, with the 12th deer being around a third of the way to bone dry...to upgrade my Second Blood Storage to its max level. By maxing it out, I now had a storage capacity of a little bit over 1000 points, which is a lot for a normal person if he or she was starting out when using the system...but not enough for what's to come.

As I was s.u.c.k.i.n.g the remaining blood out of the 12th deer to bring the amount of deer I've s.u.c.k.e.d dry to 17, I looked at the requirement needed to evolve Second Blood Storage to the first evolution tier. Hm.

Ding!

'Second Blood Storage Lv.MAX - Needs Clean Blood Storage Lv. MAX and Hardened Blood Proboscis Lv. MAX to be unlocked.'

Then again, I did neglect these skills a lot, only upgrading my blood s.u.c.k.i.n.g efficiency when needed. But you know what skill has been more neglected than these?

The Blood Energy Transfer skill.

Sure, it does help me automatically transfer the s.u.c.k.e.d blood from my main Blood Storage to the Second Blood Storage, but that's it. Would it make a difference if I evolved it to the first tier? I'll have to see and upgrade it after I upgrade the main storage and efficiency skills first.

I went on to suck 4 deers dry...well, 3 deer dry and the last deer not so dry as my recently maxed Second Blood Storage and the main storage got filled to their maximum capacities.

I then consumed around half of the points I acc.u.mulated to max out the main storage and efficiency skill.

'553 points of Impure Blood Energy have been consumed.'

'Clean Blood Storage Lv. 1 -> Lv.MAX'

'Hardened Blood Proboscis Lv. 9 -> Lv.MAX'

'Second Blood Storage can now be evolved.'

To be honest, this monotonous process of killing and s.u.c.k.i.n.g blood from deer to upgrade my skills is quite boring, but the fact that I'm getting stronger through other means feels somewhat nice.

Ding!

I then commanded the system to evolve Second Blood Storage to the first evolution tier, consuming around 400 points of the remaining blood, giving me two choices to choose from as a holographic screen appeared in front of my field of vision.

________

Please choose:

[Expanded Second Blood Storage] - Has a maximum level of 15, increases Impure Blood Energy storage capacity by 200 points each level.

[Sanguine Second Storage] - Has a maximum level of 15. In exchange for 100 points each level, it boosts the user's blood s.u.c.k.i.n.g efficiency by 2 points each level.

________

Normally, I would be grabbing special evolutions like the second skill, but since I'm just dealing with a heck ton of points right now, I'll be choosing the first skill.

Ding!

'Second Blood Storage Lv.MAX -> Expanded Second Blood Storage Lv.1'

'Clean Blood Storage and Hardened Blood Proboscis can be evolved.'

Now that I have s.u.c.k.e.d like 20 deer out of the 202 deer I was supposed to suck from the deal, I could not help but ask myself.

Would it be better for me to kill the bear in the first place? Will this happen I went with my first decision? Can I hold on?
