Who Said A Mosquito Can't Cultivate?

Chapter 26 - I'll Just Do Both

Whoosh! Whoosh! Buzz...

As the sun's rays lit up the forest, giving it the aura of great vitality, I was traversing the forest to find more animals to kill and suck blood from. Not only that, I was finding them to also obtain new constitution skills so I could reach a Constitution stat of 1 and finally start cultivating!

Now that I think about it, if I said that I was going to kill and suck someone dry, it could be interpreted in multiple perspectives. I'm pretty sure the most common perspective would be me being a twisted and sick pervert. Well...I'm a mosquito, so killing and s.u.c.k.i.n.g is justified.

Anyways, after killing all of those deer back in that clearing, I've obtained 200 Bloodl.u.s.t Points that I don't know what to do with them. Of course, I could go ahead and unlock and level all of the unlockable skills to their maximum power, but that would just be stupid.

As I've said earlier, I would be focusing on the melee aspect of offense with poison as the supplementary aspect. As for defense and support skills, they're also a priority, but not that much for now since I'm still not easy to hit.

But since I'm still thinking about the problem with my Bloodl.u.s.t Points, how should I allocate them? Should I use most of my Bloodl.u.s.t Points to max out my offensive skills and use the remaining points to obtain a few defensive and supportive skills?

Hmm...nah. Doing that wouldn't really be a wise decision. You know what, I'll decide on what I'll do with the points after I evolve all of my skills to the next tier.

Whoosh! Whoosh! Buzz...

After a few minutes of flying through the forest, I spotted a bunch of lone gray wolves, decently spaced between one another by tens of meters. For someone like me who can fly, this is a blessing.

Why? Because they wouldn't be alerted of the other wolves' deaths. And if they were, they would definitely be greeted by a dry corpse. Now which wolf would chow down on a dry corpse? If they were desperate, then probably.

Yes. I was planning to kill these wolves and suck their blood to evolve my skills to the next tier. I need 3000 points to evolve all of them to the next tier, but I only have 1200 points or so at the moment. Thankfully, these wolves give around 400 points of blood after killing and depriving them of their blood. And also, I could see exactly 5 wolves decently distanced from one another with my current vision.

Now that I think about it, upgrading my physique is more useful than I thought. Once I can start cultivating, I'll make sure to grind my physique to a pretty good level.

Whoosh! Whoosh!

With my Supersonic Flight skill on full blast, I headed towards one of the 5 wolves and activated Sharp Needle+ and Paralysis Imbuement+, my great combination, as I dived down towards its spinal area and poked there in one go.

Pshhh!

Due to the force I garnered while diving down, the wolf's back slightly curved inwards for a bit before stiffening up as I removed my proboscis from its back. As I removed my proboscis, a small blood fountain was created, probably due to the force behind my first attack. I should probably try this on the other wolves...wait, ain't this a waste of blood?

That's points right there!

And with that thought, I hastily poked a few more times with the same combination, rendering the wolf lifeless not long after as a notification popped up in front of my field of vision, giving me 50 or so blood points and a Bloodl.u.s.t Point.

I then proceeded to suck the ever living shit out of this now dead wolf, increasing the amount of points I had by 350 or so points. After that, I went on to the next wolf that was the closest to the first wolf I s.u.c.k.e.d...and did the same thing as well.

Although I was s.u.c.k.i.n.g this second wolf at a very fast speed, I was thinking of ways to make the killing process faster, so I could possibly obtain more blood points from these wolves.

In the end of that thought process, the second wolf was now bone dry as I moved on to the third wolf with two possible solutions in mind...both of them needing me to use Bloodl.u.s.t Points.

Well, I have like 200 Bloodl.u.s.t Points so it isn't really a problem to use a few. Anyways, the first solution is to obtain a Level 1 skill on the Proboscis path of melee skills, Needle Sweep.

By combining that with Paralysis Imbuement+, I would be able to inject more paralysis fluid into the wolf's body, taking less time for the wolf to become lifeless. Also, if I aimed for its throat, it would be able to create a long laceration, which would possibly hit the wolf's arteries...too much science.

The other solution in mind is to unlock the other Level 1 skill of the Proboscis path, Triple Needle Pierce. From the name alone, it would allow me to pierce the wolf three times in one go instead of just once. If I upgraded it, how many times would I be able to pierce in one go?

Anyways, with Triple Needle Pierce, it would also take me less time to imbue paralysis fluid into the wolf. Now that I think about it, if Triple Needle Pierce hits the same place with its three strikes, I could possibly pierce through the wolf's skull as well...hmm...

You know what? I'll just do both.

Ding!

'10 Bloodl.u.s.t Points have been consumed.'

'You have unlocked Triple Needle Pierce.'

'You have unlocked Needle Sweep.'

'Triple Needle Pierce -> Quadruple Needle Pierce -> Quintuple Needle Pierce'

'Needle Sweep -> Needle Sweep+ -> Long A.s.s Needle Sweep'

I'll go ahead and unlock a Level 1 Poison skill after evolving the skills to the next tier. For now, let's see how these new melee skills I've unlocked synergize with Paralysis Imbuement+.

Whoosh! Whoosh!

With the third wolf's body in sight, I dived down with the intention to use the new skills I unlocked. Of course, to change things up, the first skill I was going to use was the newly maxed out Long A.s.s Needle Sweep!

Whoosh!

I made my way towards the wolf's neck and activated Paralysis Imbuement+ before activating...

"Long A.s.s Needle Sweep!"

Swoosh!

Let's see how long this needle sweep can be!

With the skill activated, my proboscis poked through the center portion of the wolf's neck without the wolf being able to do anything, since the needle was imbued with paralysis fluid. But then...I shit you not...the name fits what it does.

As if the sides of my proboscis turned into tiny little blades, my body started moving out of its own accord, circling around the wolf's whole neck twice. Let me repeat. Twice...before my body stopped moving.

Thud.

Not long after, the decapitated head of the wolf with its expression fixed landed on the ground with a thud as I hovered there with an extremely surprised expression. Just think about that, a mosquito with an extremely surprised expression.

Well damn. That is one long a.s.s needle sweep.

Fssshhhh!

Ahh! F.u.c.k! Blood is flowing out of the place where I decapitated the wolf! Well...that would definitely be the case if any being was decapitated.

But shit! A waste of blood! Time to activate my ultimate blood s.u.c.k.i.n.g technique!

I call upon my bloodline, my ancestors, the heavens as I do...

THE BIG SUCC.

Slurp. Slurp. Slurp.

Within mere moments, I was able to suck the wolf's body dry, not sparing the decapitated head as well as it also had a decent amount of blood. As for the blood that splattered all over the ground...I tried s.u.c.k.i.n.g a bit of it and noticed that it was registered by the system as a point of Impure Blood Energy, so I did what naturally had to be done.

Suck it dry as well.

And with the experience from this third wolf as a lesson, I then moved onto the fourth wolf and decided to use the newly maxed out Quintuple Needle Pierce instead. Of course, I activated Paralysis Imbuement+ as well before attacking but...

Man. These new skills are pretty strong.

Since it was a piercing attack, I went ahead and poked my proboscis through the wolf's back. It was a gruesome experience to say the least.

Just imagine this. With the first pierce, the wolf's back was just slightly curved inward. As for the next four pierces, the curve became more and more pronounced as the wolf's back snapped into two under the tension, rendering it dead.

Anyways, not much blood splattered on the ground unlike the other skill, so I was able to take a bit more time s.u.c.k.i.n.g the wolf dry. But the power behind the skill is still...f.u.c.k.

Seriously, why are these Level 1 Skills strong? Is it because it's Level 1, that's why it's better than the performance of Level 0 Skills?

Haah...I guess the system will answer my question on this one.

Ding!

'Offensive skills from the Bloodl.u.s.t System, differing in power due to their levels. This is because, these skills have a cap as to how much Constitution it would be able to display before showing no more improvement in power.'

'Level 0 Skills have a Constitution limit of 0.2 before showing no more improvement, Level 1 Skills have a Constitution limit of 0.5, Level 2 Skills have a Constitution limit of 0.9, and so on.'

'It is highly recommended that the user use the same leveled skills as to how much the user has awakened their bloodline.'

Well...shit. Does that mean that I was actually giving a handicap to the animals I was killing before? Then again, it did make me wonder as to why there was not much impact to my attacks after using Sharp Needle+. To think that this was the reason.

Since I had over half of a normal human's constitution, because I was the size of a mosquito, that meant that my attacks would surely have great force behind them, right? Now I know. Now I know.

Whoosh!

After learning that knowledge, I moved onto the fifth wolf and used Quintuple Needle Pierce and Paralysis Imbuement+ in tandem, replacing the Sharp Needle+ and Paralysis Imbuement+ combination as my staple combination.

After killing it and depriving it of its blood, I could not help but wonder how powerful the Level 2 Skills are, even though it was just a one level difference. I also had enough blood points to evolve my skills to the next tier.

Anyways, about the Level 2 Skills, I'll just grab one and see how much of a difference there is.

Oh, and also, time to upgrade my skills!
