Who Said A Mosquito Can't Cultivate?

Chapter 34 - How Convenient

To be honest, I was expecting for the system to at least accept me cultivating my body, since it would be able to increase my Constitution. But to think that the system still needs me to have a Consitution stat of 1 to cultivate my body, now I think that's just counter-intuitive.

Anyways, since the system doesn't want me to use this alternative and possibly better way of increasing my cultivation, I guess I'll have to follow what it wants me to do. In other words, I'd have another animal to increase my Constitution. Don't get me wrong, I like killing and s.u.c.k.i.n.g blood out of the animals I kill, but to be honest, I want to take a rest from it every once in a while.

You know what they say, too much of a good thing is bad for you. Now how is killing and s.u.c.k.i.n.g blood a good thing? In fact, it isn't. The good thing here is the beautiful flavors I taste whenever I suck blood. I am definitely sure that once I suck enough blood from different animals, unlike the deer blood buffet back then, I would fall into a transient flavor coma.

Okay, back to the topic of finding an animal to suck blood from. Hmmm…what animal should I suck blood from? I should probably go out and search through the forest to find an animal I haven't s.u.c.k.e.d blood from before.

Buzz…

Wait a minute, didn't Jeff give me information about the whole forest before I left the inheritance? Surely, he would put in information regarding the various animals within the forest, right?

With that thought in mind, I decided to check through the information Jeff gave me one more time, since the first time I checked this information, I only skimmed through the general positions of each place. Also, since I was talking about my first goals with Jeff, I was more focused on looking at Red River Town rather than Dark Shroud Forest.

Whoosh!

As I focused my thoughts on looking at the Dark Shroud Forest portion of the information Jeff gave me, it was then that I realized that the information Jeff gave me was more concise and detailed than I thought. It took me around a few minutes to realize that it did not only split up the forest into multiple areas…why is the forest split into multiple areas, you might ask?

Well, these multiple areas are territories of some really strong animals…in other words, beasts. Now why would I call them beasts? Well…the reason behind that is that a reader of this novel decided that the word animal was too…now that I think about it, what's a reader?

Anyways, these beasts were pretty f.u.c.k.i.n.g strong. From what Jeff added in as commentary to the information, at the very least, the beasts were around Rank 6. Now, remember that I'm a Rank 3 mosquito, a mosquito that has awakened their bloodline two times. Okay, now let me ask you a question? What's 2+3?

Exactly. Five.

In other words, these f.u.c.kers have awakened their bloodlines a total of five times. And not only that, according to the information given to me by Jeff once again, these beasts have even cultivated their qi up to the Base Creation realm! Can I stand up against them? Nope, no way.

That's why I'm gonna avoid them as much as possible. On the contrary, I won't avoid those beings at the same evolution tier as me, the same goes for those of a lower evolution tier. If I avoid even those beings at the same tier, I would definitely look like a wuss. Then again, animals don't really care about appearance, just strength.

Speaking of which, while looking at the information given to me, just from a single glance, I could already see like 69 beings of the same evolution tier as me. And that's just counting the ones that have occupied the area nearest to me. I'm pretty sure that the total count of Rank 3 beings within this forest would probably surpass a few hundred or so, but since they're so far away from where I'm currently at, I wouldn't even bother going that far.

Well…now that I think about it, ain't there an easier way to pinpoint a living being that I could obtain constitution from? Sure, I could obtain constitution from any Rank 3 being I choose to kill and succ, but wouldn't having them be closer to me be more convenient?

And with that thought in mind, can't the system like make a feature for me that would allow it to use the information given to me by Jeff, and use it to pinpoint a being that I could kill and succ blood from?

Hmm…let me try asking the system then.

"Hey system, can't you make an enemy pinpointing feature with the information regarding the distribution of beings within this forest?" I asked in my mind, calling out to the system.

At first, I did not get a response from the system at all, but I heard some whirring sounds resounding throughout my mind, so I had a hunch that the system was just formulating an answer.

And an answer did it formulate. Holy f.u.c.k, this price is too much.

Ding!

'Enemy pinpointing feature can be created for a small price of 100 million points of Impure Blood Energy.'

100 million points? I can only store a bit over 4000, but you need 100 million points just for the feature to be made? Why not just kill me at this point?

Ding!

'Would you like to aliven't?'

No. No, I do not. That was just a joke.

Whoosh!

Well then, since that's a bust, I have no other choice but to use my big brain energy to pinpoint the location of a Rank 3 being that's the nearest to this rock cube…as well as Jeffrey. To be honest, although I'm looking at the information given to me and it says that it's a Rank 3 being, I honestly have no clue as to what type of animal it is. If it's insanely larger than me, then I'll just blame it on my luck.

And so, as I squeezed out all of the brain juice inside my mind, I was finally able to pin down the closest one to the entrance of Jeff's inheritance after a few hours or so, around 500 meters away from where I was currently hovering. Although it could've taken me a shorter time to pinpoint such a being, just the fact that a ton of cross marks were condensed into a single point was enough to drive me crazy.

Anyways, time to set off and get this over with.

Whoosh! Buzz…

With Supersonic Flight activated, I hastily made way towards the place I had deduced, continuously cross-referencing the map and the terrain I was flying over. By the time the moon was already high above the sky, I had finally arrived at the place I pinpointed on the information map.

Buzz…

Now, where is that Rank 3 being? Hmm…I'll make this search easier using Qi Perception.

Whoosh!

And just like that, I was able to sense the aura of a Rank 3 being directly below where I was flying. I then focused my vision to the area below me, only to find out that this aura was radiating from an extremely small being. Then again, in terms of width, I'm very thicc, but in length, I'm definitely in the losing side.

Yes, this Rank 3 being was…a worm.

From the appearance alone, it screamed out that it was a special type of worm. It took on a striped appearance, the colors alternating between red, green, yellow, blue, purple…in short, a myriad of colors.

Well…that's very convenient. Surely, a worm wouldn't fight back from an attack like mine, right?

Hmm…to be on the safe side, I'll just use Void Enhancement alongside my usual attack combination.

Void Enhancement!

Quintuple Needle Pierce!

Paralysis Imbuement+!

Whoosh!

At the very instant I was finished using these skills in my mind, my proboscis started to radiate a dark light around itself, pulsating in an erratic manner as it seemed like the power stored inside my proboscis wanted to be released. Don't worry, I'm about to attack…

Now!

Whoosh!

Using the movement skill I have to its fullest, I dived down from where I was flying, making my way towards where the worm was like a meteor falling from the sky.

Poke!

With the first pierce, since it was enhanced with Void Enhancement, the worm was pierced through with just that. But that did not mean that the worm was dead yet. If I remember correctly, worms had five hearts, and I would have to target all of them to pretty much render the worm dead.

So, that's what I did.

Retract, then poke again!

And again!

And again!

And again!

And with that, I had successfully pierced through five portions of the worm in a rough manner, since the effect of Void Enhancement increased the diameter of the hole I made when piercing. It was enough for me to just make a rough aim.

Ding!

And it seemed that the system also thought that it was enough.

'You have successfully killed a Myriad Ray Worm!'

'You have obtained a Bloodl.u.s.t Point!'

'You have obtained 23 points of Impure Blood Energy from killing this creature!'

'Due to the worm's confusion enveloping your body, you have obtained [Myriad Ray Worm's Passiveness].'

'Myriad Ray Worm's Passiveness (0/10) -> (4/10)'

'Constitution +0.028'

Is this death enough for me to reach a Constitution stat of 1? System, how much Constitution do I have?

Ding!

________

Constitution: 0.978

________

Damn, I'm pretty close to finally reaching it. Anyways, I just realized that the worm didn't give any additional skill after I killed it. Well, since it's a worm that does nothing much, I guess it does make sense.

Anyways, time to suck this worm dry!

Poke. Slurp.

Within a few moments, the bone-dry husk of a former worm lied on the moonlit ground of the Dark Shroud Forest, beside it was a mosquito that savored the taste of the blood it had s.u.c.k.e.d.

Ding!

'Myriad Ray Worm's Passiveness (4/10) -> (MAX)'

'Constitution +0.042'

Although it was a Rank 3 being, adding up the blood points I gained from killing the worm, I got around 400 points or so from doing those two things. So…does that mean killing and s.u.c.k.i.n.g a worm would give less than a hundred points? Well then, I'll make a mental note to myself if that's the case.

Wait a second! My constitution increased one more time! System, how much constitution do I have right now?

Ding!

________

Constitution: 1.02

________

FINALLY! I FINALLY REACHED A CONSTITUTION STAT OF 1! SYSTEM, PLEASE GIVE ME THE F.U.C.K.I.N.G PROMPT!

GIVE ME THE F.U.C.K.I.N.G PROMPT!!!!

Ding!

'Would the user like to awaken a deeper portion of their bloodline?'

Of course! Why the f.u.c.k would I not like to?

Now let me f.u.c.k.i.n.g cultivate!
