He was thankful for Poseidon even though he wasn't his patron god. His gratitude lied in the water that he got his food from and the water that made the area near his home beautiful. He opened his door happily and entered. He went to his kitchen and looked up through the hole in the roof. There was a hole because he needed a way for the smoke to exit his house after he cooked the fish. He went toward his oil lamp and switched it on. The light filled the room. He had a Klismos chair sitting beside the lamp and he decided to sit down on his Klismos chair. He breathed outward. He had finally stopped moving...A creaking sound irradiated from the chair as his weight was put upon it. All was calm.

Not for long though. He grabbed his canteen of wine and drank from it once again. He knew that if he didn't cook the fish soon they would rot. He grunted as he got up from the chair. His knees ached from his journey before. He recuperated from the pain quickly. He walked through the rooms to his door and grabbed the net filled with fish. He brought it to his kitchen and set it down on the floor. Once again, it made the disgusting squishing sound from before.

He circled around the stones that surrounded his wood burning pile. The pile was used for heat and for cooking his average daily food, fish. He brushed off the bricks with his hand. Then, he walked over to a corner in the room and grabbed a bowl of oil. He poured the oil on the fire and set the bowl down. He then grabbed his fire rock, as he called it. He hit it against the stones and sparks flew. The sparks hit the firewood and ashes.

A small fire began under the wood. He knelt down and blew on it. The fire grew and grew. There was wood sticking up and against it, otherwise known as a grill. He stuck a few fish in the stick and spun it. The fish were slowly cooking. After, spinning, and checking if it's cooked or not, for an hour or two, it was finally ready to eat. He removed it from the stick and ate gratefully. He was planning to praise Poseidon afterwards for his meal.
