The blood was dripping from its mouth. The air, it breathed out, stinked of rotten flesh.

As Yu Long tried to trap the beast in the water cage, BaoLi pulled FeiMei to a place far away from the beast to hide. FeiMei was hesitant to leave Yu Long because she knew if something happened to him then Rahu will be furious and that may be her end.

But she also knew she could be of no help there. Trembling, she ran with BaoLi.

Chii! This is gonna hold much longer.

Yu Long looked back to see if FeiMei had escaped. On seeing she was no where in the vicinity, he let go of that spell and jumped back to create a safe distance.

So the one battling you will be me!

He took a breather before running towards the beast.

"Ice-crystal blades. Enhance. Now take this."

He swung the pair of blades into the air in the beast's direction. The beast roared creating an ultrasonic wave of interference. The wave was not enough to break the blades but they definitely deflected them away from it.

Yu Long's eyes glowed blue when he gracefully moved his hands in the direction he wanted the blades to move in. The blades followed the movements that his hands directed. Moving up when he moved his hand up, down when he wanted it down. Yu Long might have been keeping the beast busy with the blades but he could not find a way to defeat a sonic wave breather. Ice or water are not strong in insulating the waves. They could just diminish the speed of the waves.

Yu Long bit his thumb hard in order to concentrate.

Hmm. So all I need to do is find a weakness. Che! Its just bulkier and uses sonic waves. The damage of some waves is upto ten feet while are… *looks in the direction of the first wave the beast created* they seem to be very far...very very far. The distance is reducing? Wait! Is it getting tired? Then..

Yu Long removed his thumb from his mouth.

Time to play!

He flicked his fingers twice. Once to stop the blades in mid air, twice to disintegrate them to thin air.

The beast who was having a fun time trying battle the blades, now had all its attention turned to its sole competitor in the area.

Yu Long needed space. He skillfully retraced his path letting the beast to follow him to a nearby water body. There was a large pond in the direction he was moving.

The beast was running behind him with blood dripping from its mouth. Seeing that Yu Long could do nothing but cringe and continue moving till he reach the pond. As he saw the pond he increased his speed, he paced into the pond.

The beast stopped at the edge of the pond, roaring as loud as it could. It didn't enter the pond for some reason. Seeing that, Yu Long slowly rose anti gravity from the pond by circulating the spiritual energy, he got from the nearby the natural resources, around him. The mist covered that area in no time. This hindered the view of the audience in the displays.

"Take this."

He pointed his hands towards the beasts. The water as if obeying its orders, swirled around the beast before clamping its legs and shutting its mouth. The best part was the deformation using water was easy and quick, giving the beast less time to react. There was a water claw grabbing its mouth.

"Now come to me."

That was when Yu Long directed the beast to come towards him against his will. The beast resisted slamming his tail and wrecking the nearby scenery.

"So bad! Stop destroying everything that comes your way."

Unable to open his mouth he looked for ways to resist. But Yu Long stopped that rebellious tail at once. The beast was slowly dragged into the water.

"Water magic: Wrath of the Water Deity. Come to me…"

Yu Long yelled causing the water to become more violent and turbulent. The beast tried to claw the ground or twirl its body to free itself but it failed and got pulled to water. The some of the turbulent water got separated and started forming into a spear with the head resembling that of a trident.

The creature kept struggling and trying to free itself.

But then Yu Long got hold of the spear and spelt out, "May your soul leave your mortal self and rest in peace for eternity."

As soon as Yu Long said these, the mist disappeared and the previous water magic spell was done. But before the beast could react and kill Yu Long, he disappeared.

The spectators were astonished. People guessing where he was. If he left the battle or did he have some technique to defeat the beast.

But the person sitting on the throne was not affected by this. He simply mumbled, "Here he comes." Wei Zadong looked at the emperor only to notice his lips curved into a smile. He looked back at the display only to be awed again.

As soon as the emperor mumbled, Yu Long appeared out of nowhere above the beast with the spear. He motioned at the speed of light giving the creature no time to realise that it was losing its life. He pierced the spear through the centre of his head, permanently sealing his mouth. The beast tried to struggle for the last time but failed.

Yu Long slipped from the beast's head and fell into the water. He rose to the surface and slowly got out of the pond. Now all the displays zoomed on the victor. Yu Long was panting as he tried to walk away from the bloodied scene. He slowly removed the long strands of hair from his face to reveal two non matching iris colour. One was his icy blue while other glowed golden. Above his goldeneye was a line of small marks engraved onto his skin. It resembled those of the flower wreaths. Because of this people observing started giving him a nickname and cheering for him.

Amongst these cheers was a blue hooded man, who looked at the display and mumbled, "Finally found you".

As the battle between the beast and Yu Long got over, the Emperor got up from his seat. Seeing this gesture, everyone in the podium was about to stand when XinYi motioned his hands to stop and carry on enjoying the second round of the examination. XinYi moved out of the podium followed by his personal guards.

On the other side, after the small battle was over, Yu Long proceeded slowly into the forest to find a place to rest and recover. As he traced his path into the forest he made sure to make the minimal sound possible to avoid attracting more trouble. He couldn't control his breathing as he kept gasping for air once in a while. He pulled his body as far as he could until he found it necessary to lookout for a place to rest. He looked around, he found a small burrow by a giant tree. He knew it wasn't safe staying at one place because he could be attacked by anybody anytime. He also got separated from FeiMei and BaoLi and needed to search for them as well. But all he could do was rest for now. He dragged himself to the burrow. He looked in the dark deep burrow. It was dark inside to investigate so he created a small fire using the spiritual energy left with him. He could let it create much smoke as it would attract attention. He knew he was in a vulnerable state now and couldn't take on any opponent. After inspecting the burrow and finding it unoccupied, he tried to sit there against the earthen walls of the dwelling.

He let out a sigh as he planned out his course of action after he had recovered. His eyes felt heavy and his body was fatigued. He slowly drifted into sleep. As Yu Long went unconscious, Maasa came back to semi conscious state. She activated the Core Dematerialization spell. The spell couldn't be used in full force due to lack of spiritual energy but it was enough to hide Long's body until and unless a very powerful cultivator discovered him.
