'I have to get up. I have to find a way out of here.' She repeated those words in her head like a mantra, ignoring the various questions from the voices she was all too familiar with.

Then, one of them pierced through the den of white noise.

"Why did you kill us?"

"Oh, fuċk you!" Shen Tianyu broke out of her little shell and shoved whatever was in front of her.

It just so happened to be the "puppet" that looked like her mother from her past life.

"What the fuċk do you want from me, you... whatever you are!" She didn't notice when the people in the hammock had dropped down and was crawling towards her but she didn't care anymore.

The one that looked like Bai Yaoxuan in her past life tried to cling onto her leg and the one that looked like Luo Shue tried to crawl up her body by going over the other one. She kicked both of them away and grabbed the remaining ones, flinging them far into the darkness. The cacophony of questions got louder and noisier and it all started weaving together into one question, repeated over and over.

"Why did you kill us?"

She ignored them as they came crawling back, trying to do whatever they were doing and climbed up onto the hammock still hanging there. She started to climb one of the ropes holding it up as they gathered under the hammock. Some of them only had one eye while a few only had empty eye sockets. The holes and mouths were still dripping blood and with the continued movement, some organs had fallen out. They began to shake the hammock as their voices rose higher and higher. Shen Tianyu clung onto the rope like a gecko on walls as she steadily climbed upwards. The ropes and hammock didn't move on it's own or disappear.

'This thing's not disappearing even after those things were no longer on it. I didn't see any thread that could suggest they were being controlled physically. There's definitely something at the end of these.' She gritted her teeth as she could feel the burns that came with climbing the rope so precariously.

The hammock and ropes shook more and more as the "puppets below got more violent and their voices louder. It felt like a whole stadium was sounding inside her head. She reflexively wanted to cover her ears, even though she knows that wouldn't help, shrinking her head into her shoulders. But she kept her hands around the rope and kept sliding up it.

"Fuck the Monument Master. Damn this stupid place. To hell with whoever set this up. Hope they all go to the abyss and never get reincarnated." She cursed under her breath as she moved.

Shen Tianyu was very not happy about how things turned out.

She suċkėd in a sharp breath as she felt the rope becoming unbearably shaky. She stopped her movements and hung on for dear life but the only things actually gripping onto the rope were her hands. Her feet did not have the same versatility as her hands, despite how talented she may be and so could not get a hold on it. The rope was shaking like a jump rope and Shen Tianyu could slowly feel her body slipping. With a sharp exhale, her body fell while still gripped onto the rope and she hung from it like a koala hugging a tree. She took this chance to hook her legs around the rope and hung there as it went up and down.

"Fuck, this is giving me motion sickness." She muttered as she kept her eyes opened and stared into the darkness above her, not concentrating on anything in particular so as not to cause a headache, but not closing her eyes either in case it made the sensation worse.

After who knows how long, the shaking of the rope finally subsided, at least enough for her to right herself and continue her arduous journey.

"Why do I have a bad feeling about this." She muttered as she climbed upwards.

As she continued to ignore the cacophony of noises echoing throughout the space, she felt a faint presence behind her. With a sweat drop dripping from her forehead, she rigidly turned her head and looked down.

One of the figures was climbing the rope behind her, and at an incredible speed even for a normal person, not to mention their injuries where they were dripping blood and dropping organs.

"Fuck fuċk fuċk fuċk fuċk fuċk, fuċk this place and it's Master!" Shen Tianyu burst out as she increased her climbing speed to it's limit. She did not want to know if the other figures were also climbing the rope after her.

She had no idea how long she had been climbing, there was no way to get a sense of time in this endless darkness. But even with her Golden Core level cultivation, she was starting to get tired from climbing the rope. But she could still feel, with all her senses, the figures coming up behind her. She was sure if she slowed down, they would only get closer. She didn't know what they, or whoever was controlling them, wanted to do but with the immensely not-funny way they were presented, she was sure it couldn't be anything good. .

'Haa... seriously, how long is this going to go on? Logically speaking, it shouldn't lead to nowhere since it needs to be tied to something to keep the hammock from touching the ground. Even miracles and magic has it's own laws of function and cultivation is not magic so it shouldn't be anything too out there. Like a floating hammock. Because it definitely did not move until those things started to shake it.' Her mind started to wander off as she continued her ascent.

Only when her stamina was completely wasted and her arms felt like they would fall off did her hands brushed something other than rope.. Despite her arms feeling like they'll be detached if she put even slightly more force into them, the dislike of the things below her pushed to to put in one last spurt.
