Which she did feel slightly guilty for since it was handmade by the Elder now in charge of their Ancient Script department. Other members were also provided Cosmo Pouches but the size within varied. New recruits had the smallest space within their Cosmo Pouches and were usually retrieved by the organization once they were officially initiated to be reused so some of them had a tattered appearance. As the members become more senior and gathered more achievements, they can trade in their Cosmo Pouches for ones with a bigger space as long as they fit all the requirements.

Among all the ones within Yaodu, only hers and the Cosmo Pouches of the elders are personal and can not be traded or reused.

Shen Tianyu organized the boxes of food in front of her and handed one to Rong Jian, who was sitting next to her. He gave his thanks with the warmest smile that a person that usually doesn't smile gives and received it with both hands. She then took one box and put it in her ŀȧp. They both opened their boxes and Rong Jian raised his eyebrow while Shen Tianyu grinned like a child. Rong Jian's box was a mix of spicy Cucumber Salad with red pepper and chilis sticking on to the cucumber slices, Saliva Chicken slathered in red, a grilled fish with green onions and salt and sugar sprinkled on it, and more than a handful of crawfish.

On the other hand, Shen Tianyu's box had Lotus Crisps, Meat Rolls wrapped around various leafy greens, Soy Sauce Braised Pork Belly, and Eggplant grilled with garlic. Perhaps the quality looked the same for outsiders but Rong Jian's box was obviously more spicy and had more troublesome dishes like whole fish and crawfish, which you needed to remove the shells from. While, Shen Tianyu's box had a saltier taste overall and easier to chew on dishes.

Though they lived together, they were living in a Wangye's residence, after all. Even when eating crawfish, if they weren't already shed of their hard shells, there were servants to help. Not to mention, Rong Jian would voluntarily help if he saw such troublesome dishes. There were some spicy dishes but Shen Tianyu still ate them, seemingly having no preference, though her face did turn red from the spices sometimes. That kind of reaction didn't mean the person didn't like spicy foods, though. Some people like to eat them even when they can't handle the spice.

However, why would someone order food they didn't like, you might wonder? Adventure. Trying new things are experiences to hold dear, even if you might not like them. It's the same as those people that travel to find what their culture considers weird or unusual foods. Though, some might just be real mȧsȯċhɨsts. But that's another matter entirely.

"So, Wifey doesn't like spicy and troublesome foods?" Rong Jian asked for verification.

"You can still eat them, can't you? If you don't want it then give it back." Shen Tianyu said as she pulled out a pair of chopsticks and started to dig in. All the boxes had chopsticks attached to them so Rong Jian had one too.

"Oh, I'm not disliking anything Wifey gives me. Just... it might not be enough." Rong Jian pateintly responded with a smile.

"You eat that much? I don't remember you eating that much back at the Wangfu." Shen Tianyu looked at the opened box in Rong Jian's hands and then at his face, specifically his mouth.

"Well, using and absorbing spiritual energy does also consume one's physical energy. So does fighting. Although, there wouldn't be a problem if no one said anything and we pushed on. Now that someone has said something, my body seems to have remembered all the energy it has expended." As if on cue, Rong Jian's stomach gave a loud growl, enough that people nearby were startled and looked over. But everyone quickly resumed what they were doing when they realized where the noise had come from, acting as if nothing had happened at all.

"Fine." Shen Tianyu seemed to have a slight pout as she opened the lids of her other boxes a crack, to see what was inside, before finally deciding on a second one to give to Rong Jian.

"Here. Do you want another one?" She asked in a heavy tone as she handed the box to him.

"No. That should be enough. Thank you for your kind consideration, Tian'er." Rong Jian smiled as he received the second box, brushing his fingers against hers. She didn't show any reaction as she went back to devouring her food.

As everyone chatted and ate, well mostly the Yaodu members did, the atmosphere was a little less tense than it had been since they came into this Ascendant Monument. The members of Rong Jian's subordinates only brought easy to carry, simple foods with them like rice balls and water in bamboo tubes. Some of the Yaodu members felt a little pity and started sharing some of their food with them too. The refused at first but they couldn't beat the cheery members' insistence, and with Rong Jian's permission, they finally accepted. Then, more and more of their friends and fellow comrades followed suite, with mostly Yaodu members offering food and Rong Jian's subordinates hesitantly accepting their kindness.

With the relaxed atmosphere and bonding, everyone seemed to wind down. Some of the older members also interacted with Shen Tianyu, talking about their younger days. The braver and more cheerful ones tried to talk with Rong Jian but his agreement sounds and rare monosyllable replies, was like a cold water bucket dumped on their heads and they soon gave up. Out of everyone there, the person with the highest social standing in the secular world was the one that was completely alone. How pitiful.. Poor Zhu Wangye.
