Rong Jian just stared at the extra box in front of him for a few moments than slowly took it in his hands and held it above himself. Shen Tianyu moved hers so she could cover herself more, there were already a few dents on the lid from the little rocks and pebbles falling down from the roof of the cave. 

As for the demonic beasts that had been following them, Old Gu was the most well-protected as it was seemingly the oldest and also smallest. Old Qi laid flat on the ground, covering its head with Old Gu cuddling up almost right next to its face. Xiao Qing and her... twin were trying to cover as many people as they could with their bony body but there were too many people in the group so they could only protect a small portion. The seniors saw what they were trying to do and showed the newer and weaker members, ones that were not as focused on martial arts, at them to be protected. 

As for Rong Jian's group, they all just silently ducked down and tucked their heads in. A few that had gotten friendly with the Yaodu members tried to help them or pulled on them to remind them to protect themselves. 

Among the Yaodu members, those thta had enough of a head about them started to gather up other people. Those that had reliable partners simply channeled spiritual energy into their arms or weapons and put them up to act as partial shields for themselves or their heads. A few of them practically draped their entire spiritual energy infused bodies atop their partners and stayed there. 

However, instead of subsiding, the shaking of the entire place got worse and worse. Shen Tianyu really thought the whole damn thing would cave in at this rate. Despite sitting down in a relatively stable position, she still felt like she could fall with how much she was swaying from the quakes. 

Suddenly, the quaking subsided, but in its place a mighty roar blasted through the rocky tunnel. Enough for it to blow everyone's hair behind them and possibly pulled a few cheeks from the force. 

"Alright. What the fuċk is up ahead?" Shen Tianyu felt like she spoke but her eardrums had gotten a beating from that roar so she couldn't actually hear her voice. Since the quaking stopped, she decided to crouch and slowly stand up from there, the food box still above her head.

"Ugh... my ȧss and spine fuċkɨnġ hurts from all that shaking. I though my bones were going to shatter. So do my ears." She ġrȯȧnėd as she ended up kneeling on the floor, massaging her behind and the base of her spine.

A hand stretched out and wrapped around her waist. Se whipped her head around, her hand that had been on her ȧss shooting up to hold the foreign hand. It turned out to be her partner that was holding onto her. 

Rong Jian had already put down the food box and was just casually holding onto it, not knowing what to do with it. His other hand was holding her waist and not moving. He seemed to be saying something since his lips were moving but Shen Tianyu couldn't hear him.

She sat down on her hunches and put down her makeshift helmet, holding out a hand for him to pause. She channeled spiritual energy throughout her body to relieve the pain and soreness, as well as deafness a bit. When she felt it was okay, she turned back to him, who still had not moved his hands from her waist and leaned forward.

"What is it?" She asked.

"Is it painful? Do you want to stop for a bit to rest? I can help massage if you want." Rong Jian also scooted closer and voiced his worry. 

"Ah..." From the corner of her eye, she can see people groaning and rubbing their bodies, either from the previously falling debris or from the bone-shattering quaking. If not those then their ears.

"Yeah, that sounds like a good idea." She responded. Since the two of them weren't in any hurry to get up, the others naturally also took their time. 

Shen Tianyu agreed to Rong Jian's massage and he had her lay down on his ŀȧp, that was still in the lotus position. He channeled a gentle stream of his spiritual energy as he carefully kneaded and pressed on the lower part of her spine. Shen Tianyu concentrated on using her spiritual energy to speed up her body's healing process and regain her normal hearing.

To everyone's surprise, whatever had caused the quaking let everyone regain their footing and senses. The ones that had draped themselves over their friends or partner looked around before they withdrew and sat down, rubbing their backs. The protected partners channeled their spiritual energy to aid in abating the soreness and pain. Xiao Qing unwound themselves, revealing he crouching teens that they were protecting, some holding their arms over their heads while others were death-griping Xiao Qing's body. Those that were protecting themselves, flung their arms to get any dust out of their clothes and rub them, wincing and kneading any possible bruises away.

The ones in black, on the other hand, merely got up and stood at attention without any wasted movement. Even if they were uncomfortable, no one could tell because of the black cloth covering most of their face. They quietly spread out and took positions at the perimeter of the Yaodu group and the demonic beasts, creating a protective bubble while they healed their shattered spines and radius or ulna.. Though most of them probably couldn't hear due to the roar, groaning sounds, cussing, and other complaints were echoing off the walls in the cave.
