Though not as much time is required to be a powerful Beast Tamer, luck plays a bigger part, but contractors that no longer respect their partners are always in for a heavy backlash.

Unfortunately, there will always be those that do not learn from other's misfortunes and coupled with youthful arrogance, believe that such a thing would never happen to them. Those are the ones who knows the consequences of their actions the soonest and also the ones that are never able to get up after their "failure".

"But Senior Shao is the only disciple of the elder here. He's the one that knows the most Ancient Script and can write the most powerful talismans. Having him be on the frontline and pay attention to one of the main attackers is kind of..." One of the members of the Ancient Script department voiced his objection.

"That is indeed troublesome." Muo Jeng replied, stroking his beard in thought, as if he could find the answer there.

"However, having someone that is not as experienced or just started learning the Ancient Script is also kind of unnerving since their timing and decision-making could be off." Shen Tianyu countered.

"Certainly. No one would feel safe with a rookie as support, especially in such a big battle." Yun Tianhao crossed his arms and nodded along.

"Mn... Let's decide on our tanks, the ones that will hold the demonic beast's attention, for now. Depending on the tank, the strategy to back them up would be different. Ideally, it would be someone with a good defense so they won't be taken down so easily. But this is real life, there's no such thing as a person being the best in both defense and offense. Someone that focuses on defense would naturally be lacking in offense. In that case, our overall firepower would go down since the other attackers need to make sure their damage does not exceed that of the tank and take the demonic beast's attention off of them. In the case of someone skilled in offense, defense becomes the concern as one wrong move and they could be out of commission. The second type relies heavily on their supports' decision-making skills and ability to predict the future. While the first type relies on the observation ability and patience of the other attackers since this type will cause the battle to last longer. And we also need to be mindful of the subtypes among the two. For example, there are those with great strength and could wield heavy-hitting weapons. What type of talismans will help them? What about those that rely on agility?" Shen Tianyu put down her thoughts and posed these questions.

"Hm… the best idea is to have a tank with high attack power, right? If they're too focused on defense and don't have high enough attack power, they won't be able to hold the demonic beast's attention, right?" Yun Tianhao mumbled.

"Yes, but if their defense is not enough, it'll strain their supports too much and one mistake could ruin the entire formation." One of the older members added.

"So, it's best if they are an all-rounder? But we don't have anyone whose attack power and defense is around the same. We're mostly an offensive unit." Another veteran responded.

"Mmmnn… I think Tianhao could be one of the main tanks." Shen Tianyu thought for a moment and threw that out.

Yun Tianhao might use a sword but he was most adept at using a giant battle axe that is usually stored in the Cosmo Pouch tied to his belt. He was one of the few that was all brawns and had at least some brain. Rather than be the leader of a unit from an organization like theirs, he was more suited to be a charismatic general. Unfortunately, or perhaps it's a good thing for the rest of the world, there aren't any outright wars happening so he wouldn't be able to get merits even if he wanted to. Well, it was better to have more talented fighters than not. There's no point in having all tacticians if there's no one to carry out the tactics.

"If Miss wills it, then I will be one!" Yun Tianhao thumped his ċhėst with a fist and humphed proudly.

"Is everyone in agreement?" Shen Tianyu asked the others. Nods and noises of agreement sounded throughout.

She didn't consider any of Rong Jian's subordinates to be a tank, since they dealt with people. Even if they weren't classified as such, they were closer to ȧssassins and were therefore not suited to facing demonic beasts head-on. Not to mention they didn't have as much experience either. They were automatically relegated to the supporting attackers. Rong Jian also didn't say anything about this arrangement and they themselves didn't seem to mind either.

"Now, who will be the second tank?" Shen Tianyu looked around at her own subordinates and started to ponder.

"How about Yi-boy?" Muo Jeng looked over at Yi Weixing and suggested.

"Me?" He pointed at himself.

"Yes, a broadsword is not the most common weapon around here and it's big enough to have some defensive capacity, no?" Muo Jeng answered.

Shen Tianyu wouldn't say so for the other elders but Muo Jeng was on the neutral side in relation to gender issues. He didn't really care about the arguments of others and whatnot. If the person says they want to be treated as a certain gender then he will comply. There were also those, like Elder Yu who supported them with their own ways like creating groups but Muo Jeng didn't bother with that stuff. There were, of course, elders who didn't accept more than the two "main" genders and fought against the idea but rules of the organization prohibited harassment and favoritism. Anyways, with the help of people like Elder Yu, most nonconforming members didn't choose those opposing elders anyways so the two factions didn't really interact much.. The younger people were more accepting of this matter and so there was not as much of a disparity in opinion.
