Wild Young Miss: Mister, Let's Kiss!

"Uh madam Xi, she's the woman I was talking about." Clearing her throat, Olivia Tang leaned closer to Vivian Xi as she sold Zoey out. 

Good timing, Olivia Tang thought. With Zoey's presence, she could impress Vivian Xi for her ridiculousness back in her son's engagement night. 

"Is it?" Vivian Xi muttered as an excited glint flickered across her eyes. Matthew Xi wouldn't say she was meddling under this unexpected turn, right?

With that thought in mind, Vivian Xi slowly strode towards Zoey who stood rooted on the ground. When she stopped in her tracks, Vivian Xi studied Zoey from head to toe. 

"Uhm, hi?" Confused by the weird gaze from the elegant woman before her, Zoey awkwardly greeted. 

She saw Olivia Tang snicker in mockery who was standing behind Vivian Xi. Even Clara Wei had a weird smile on her lips which made Zoey arch her right brow. 

"Hello, Miss Zhou." Smiling gently, Vivian Xi greeted back. "I heard a lot of interesting things about you." She said which caused Zoey's brows to knit. 

Scrutinizing the elegant middle-aged woman, Zoey narrowed her eyes as she racked her brain who might it be. Just as Zoey was about to reach the part where she could have seen the woman, Vivian Xi offered her hand. 

"My surname is Xi, Xi Vivian: current chairwoman of the XI Corporation." As if introducing herself to someone with the same standing, Vivian Xi spouted. 

For a second, Zoey blinked her eyes as her mind short circuited. She wasn't hearing things wrong, right? The woman said she's Vivian Xi, right?

Zoey's mind worked double time as she remembered where she had seen the woman. Upon recalling the article she had read in the past with Vivian Xi's photographs with it, her eyes widened as the woman before her truly looked like the person in the news and photographs. 

"I..."

"Hmm?" Seeing the shock slowly grow on Zoey's expression, Vivian Xi smiled in satisfaction. 

No wonder her son was too fond of Zoey. She also has interesting expressions. If not for Matthew Xi, Vivian Xi would have linked arms with her and left these nobodies alone. 

"My apologies for not recognizing you immediately, Madam Xi." Slightly bowing her head, Zoey apologized as she received Vivian Xi's hand and tried to keep herself together. 

Inside her mind she thought, "How the hell did these Tang's reel in Vivian Xi to their side?" Alas, recalling the good ties between the Sun's and Tang's, it would be no surprise if they got acquainted with the Xi. 

However, Zoey didn't think that it'll be this soon. Surely, Olivia Tang acts faster than a ninja. 

"It's fine, dear." As they shook hands, Vivian Xi shook her head sideways as she chuckled. "It's been a while since I appeared in the public eye and I've aged too." Shrugging her shoulders, Vivian Xi retracted her hand away from her. 

"Aged?!" Creasing her brows, Zoey stared at Vivian Xi with eyes full of conflict. "Madam Xi, the reason I didn't recognize you immediately is because you didn't appear to age! If anything, I thought you look younger!" Brown nosing Vivian Xi in an instant, Zoey exclaimed which made Vivian Xi chuckle. 

Meanwhile, Olivia Tang scoffed secretly upon Zoey's brown nosing. 'Lady, do you think your sweet tongue can save you?' She hissed internally as she believed Zoey's flowery words wouldn't work on Vivian Xi. Little did she know, even though Zoey wouldn't do anything, Vivian Xi had already approved of Zoey. 

"Oh, Miss Zhou..." With that said note, Vivian Xi walked to Zoey's side as she linked arms with her. "Why don't you join us later? Me and Madam Tang will shop later, I would like to hear your thoughts about my purchases." Vivian Xi tried to restrain herself from being overly friendly. 

However, being complimented by her future daughter-in-law overwhelmed her. Hence, her desire to have a day with Zoey triumphed in the end. 

Meanwhile, Olivia Tang and Clara Wei's mind went blank momentarily. Why did Vivian Xi suddenly got excited like a little girl? 

She didn't believe Zoey, right? Zoey was obviously currying her favor.. Everyone could see it! Vivian Xi didn't buy Zoey's flowery words, right?

"Uhm..." Surprised at how easy it was to get on Vivian Xi's good graces, Zoey glanced at Olivia Tang. Upon seeing the hateful visage plastered across Olivia Tang, Zoey gave her an eye of disbelief. 

'Well, if Madam Xi is hanging out with her, I'm not surprised.' Zoey muttered internally while her conflicted eyes gave a different meaning to Olivia Tang. 

"Madam Xi, I would love to accompany you — it's my honor." Turning to Vivian Xi, Zoey smiled kindly which, she was certain, irked the Tang women. 

"Great!" Pleased at Zoey's agreement, Vivian Xi's mind worked double than usual as she pondered on topics and activities she could share with Zoey. 

No one could blame Vivian Xi though. Her son was refraining her from getting to know her future daughter-in-law. Hence, Vivian Xi forgot the fact that she kicked Matthew Xi out of his house and the possibility that he was with Zoey. 

"So you're looking for furniture and household materials?" Glancing at the aisle Zoey was staring at earlier, Vivian Xi inquired with a voice full of enthusiasm. 

"Yes. My boyfriend moved into my place yesterday." Shrugging her shoulders, Zoey gave out the reason and simplified her relationship with Matthew Xi. 

After all, detailing how they ended up sleeping on the same roof was complicated. Therefore, a person like Zoey who disliked explaining the details chose the easy route. 

"Oh?" Surprised that they're living together, Vivian Xi's eyes lit up. "So, I assumed you're thinking about settling down?" 

Zoey only smiled as she showed Vivian Xi a teacup. She asked for her opinion about it as she diverted the conversation. 

Alas, although Vivian Xi appeared to go with the flow, this diversion embedded in her mind. 'Seems like my son needs my help... heh,' Vivian Xi thought internally as Zoey's answer was enough for Vivian Xi to discern the problem. 

Meanwhile, Olivia Tang who came with Vivian Xi originally was shunned. It was as if she and Clara Wei were mere spirits — Vivian Xi didn't even bat an eye on them as she excitedly conversed with Zoey. 

On the other hand, Matthew Xi stood at a corner not far away from Zoey and his mother. "I told her not to be meddlesome." Matthew Xi murmured, massaging his temples in distress. 

He only left for several minutes to answer a call from Z Image and from his assistant Paul Qian! Yet, Vivian Xi was already on the move!
