Wild Young Miss: Mister, Let's Kiss!

Chapter 298 - Kenneth Bai

In a certain part of the city, Zoey slowed down while a group of people idled by the side of the road. There were a few motorbikes parked around, as if the group of people were just resting after a long ride.

They turned their heads towards the approaching motorbike, squinting their eyes while others blocked the beam of the lights to shade their eyes. As Zoey came close, their stiffened shoulders relaxed as they recognized the motorbike.

"Yo, Jojo!" When Zoey stopped at one side, she heard one man wearing a casual plain shirt and jeans call out to her via her alias as he saluted at her.

"It's been a while since the freak came after ripping us all off!" One beauty, wearing almost nothing, scorned as she taunted the uninvited person who just arrived without taking her helmet off.

Through her closed visor, Zoey glanced at the beauty and rolled her eyes. She wondered how this woman could stand bike riding with her short shorts and fitted sleeveless. Doesnt she feel cold? The weather temperature was quite unpredictable after all.

"I'll be having a race. How much?" Zoey stopped in front of the average-looking man who had greeted her with a full smile previously.

"You mean tonight?" Alas, the smile on the man's lips gradually vanished and was replaced by the furrowing of his brows.

"Yes." Zoey didn't even bat an eye upon answering. She knew that these people could arrange the safest route with less police chasing them.

Well, Zoey had raced with this guy before... like a few months back in this lifetime if she remembered correctly. For some reason, instead of hating her, the man got more friendly as if he couldn't believe that he was defeated by the one he tried to bully.

Ironic, but he was that weird. Zoey wouldn't waste her time wondering why.

"Joey, you can't just appear here whenever you like and ask for favors." The man shrugged his shoulder nonchalantly, before he shook his head and sighed.

"Even if you give us money to arrange for a race..."

"Ten thousand, Rem." Zoey interrupted, not having long patience to coax him to agree.

"Uh, damn it..." Upon hearing her offer, the man named Rem had his eyes light up as he scratched the back of his head. "How big would this race be?" Rem then raised his head as he leaned against the motorbike languidly.

"Place your bets on me against those elites. You'll earn more than the ten thousand which I'm paying for your services." Instead of giving him a direct answer, Zoey answered as she tossed her keys in the air and caught it effortlessly.

Still, Rem and the rest got her keyword "elites". It wasn't hard to guess that Zoey was up against a big whale from the top social ladder which was thrilling in a way.

After all, compared to those who were used to illegal street races, those young masters were used to safe races in safe race tracks. Yet, they acted so arrogantly as if they were the greatest in the world!

"Hahaha! I knew you were something!" Rem clapped his hand, laughing heartily in amusement as he couldn't believe that Zoey managed to challenge an arrogant young master.

"So, will you organize the route? Choose a safe route, I don't want him to be in trouble." Zoey didn't entertain the amusement from Rem as she needed his confirmation.

After all, the man hadn't agreed yet and dragging this longer might change his mind. Once he had a change of mind, he would stick to it 'like a real man' — what he would call it.

"Sure." Rem chuckled as he shook his head, "You really are impatient, Jojo. When will you show us your face, eh?" As he looked up, Rem crossed his arms under his chest as he was curious what kind of face this woman possessed behind her helmet.

Although Zoey had raced with him and even raced for them for some cash, none of them had seen her face. She wouldn't take off her helmet, but her voice and body was enticing enough for a rider like Rem to get interested.

"Tell me when it's safe to start." Like usual, Zoey didn't go along with his curiosity as she remained focussed on her agenda.

"Maybe around midnight." Rem sighed. The mysterious woman before him never gave him a chance to talk to her like friends.

Well, they wouldn't call her weird if she's a normal chick. Still, once curious, the desire to satisfy that curiosity builds up unconsciously.

"Anyway, if I may ask, who are you up against with this time? Is he one of those young masters who can afford those fancy rides and brag without skills?" Rem scoffed, recalling how many young masters from elite families he had encountered.

Most of them bragged about having a great ride. But in all honesty, Rem sympathized with the creator of the great big bikes. Not everyone who owned a motorcycle was an enthusiast. Sometimes, they just bought one because they had the money. Not because they appreciate its beauty or those kinds of things.

That kind of unfairness. Although Rem accepted that it was never fair from the beginning, he hated when someone bragged in front of him. Therefore, with only his beloved motorcycle, which he treated as a baby, crushed a good number of the young master's morale.

Zoey glanced at the confident Rem before a smirk formed on the side of her lips. "Bai Kenneth." Upon dropping the name, there was a sudden silence in the air as Rem's wide grin froze.

"Who? Did the freak say it's Bai Kenneth?!" The woman, who was quick to return from her senses, shouted as she jolted up.

"Yes." Zoey meekly answered before she turned around and walked back to her motorcycle.

"Bai Kenneth..." Rem watched Zoey slowly pace back to her ride, whispering that popular name in the professional racing industry.

How did Zoey challenge that man to race with her? Not to mention, an illegal street race? Rem didn't have a clue. But one thing was for sure, was he willing to place his bets on Zoey knowing she's against Kenneth Bai?
