One hour later, Ivan stopped by in front of a convenience store. He kicked the stand, glancing at Cora through the side mirror. "Out." He ordered, tired of this language barrier since she wouldn't understand him and vice versa.

Instinctively, Cora hopped out of the ride, holding her hand behind her. "Why did you stop here?" She asked before realizing that he wouldn't understand her.

The look on her face after realizing their dilemma made Ivan roll his eyes as he nodded his head. "Hungry." He muttered as he couldn't be bothered any longer whether she understood or not. Well, he hadn't had anything for the day and it was already past noon.

That word was understandable, so Cora nodded her head as she slowly took off the helmet while Ivan hopped off the motorcycle. Without further ado, he strode inside the convenience store. Cora who planned to stay outside watched him head inside.

As she did so, she creased her brows together and sighed. "That's bad…" She whispered, shaking her head sideways before heading inside.

Shortly after, Cora approached Ivan who was holding two bags of chips while darting his gaze between the two. By the looks of it, he was pondering which was better as he had never had them before.

"This one is better." Although he wouldn't understand her, Cora uttered and pointed at the chip that was on the left of his hand. "But, that's only better compared to the other." She added, shaking her head as she strode towards the other isle.

She picked an instant noodle, tossing it to him which he caught by sandwiching between his arms. "This is the best." She informed, shrugging her shoulders. "Uhmm… follow." Cora rubbed her chin, speaking a word that was easily understood even if she didn't speak a whole sentence.

"Well, she lives here so I should at least listen to her recommendation." Ivan murmured, shrugging his shoulders before putting the chips back and only carried the cup of instant noodles she gave him.

As he followed, Cora picked up a beverage each for the two of them and a few candy bags for herself. She just easily picked whatever that caught her eyes, as if this has been her own and could pick the same with eyes closed. Meanwhile, Ivan held the ones that she gave him that were for him while she held her sweets.

After several minutes of picking up their snacks, Ivan and Cora stood at the cash counter. "Also, two steamed buns." Cora said to which the cashier nodded in acknowledgement and grabbed them some, placed it on a tray with the instant noodles for them.

Ivan kept on glancing at her until the cashier returned and finished scanning the prices. Soon, the cashier told them the bill while Ivan checked the digits and fished out his wallet. However, as he groped around his pocket, he couldn't feel his wallet inside.

"What the…" He murmured, Cora knitted her brows as by the looks of it, he didn't bring his wallet with him. "Sh*t!" He cursed while Cora shook her head and sighed.

"How unreliable." She muttered, clicking her tongue in annoyance as she grabbed her purse and took out some cash.

"Wait-- I…" Just as Cora was handing the cash to the cashier, Ivan tried to stop her. Alas, her poker face asked him why he was stopping her since he didn't have his wallet with him. Not that she planned on letting him pay for her snacks in the first place.

"Damn it…!" Through his gritted teeth, Ivan ruffled his hair in annoyance as he watched the cashier take the money.

"You're really like Zoey." Cora sighed, shaking her head sideways as she took the tray while pointing her chin towards the paper bag, gesturing to him to take it instead.

"Damn… what are you saying?" Displeased at her last remarks, Ivan had nothing else to do as he picked up the paper bag and followed her towards the table outside the convenience store.

"I swear I always bring my wallet with me! I must have dropped it when I sneaked inside the hospital. This is that guy's fault!" Just as they plopped down to their seat, Ivan grumbled as he pushed the blame to Matthew Xi.

After all, he wasn't an irresponsible person. He never forgot these simple important things ever. Hence, that was the only possibility of this humiliation as a man. Now, he had to face this granny who ended up paying for him as well!

"Sorry. I can't understand whatever you're saying." In a matter-of-fact tone, Cora shrugged her shoulders as she couldn't care less of his frustration. "You should just start eating so we can return to the hospital." She added, lifting the lid of the instant noodles to check if it was ready to be eaten.

As she did so, Ivan's brows twitched. He never felt so frustrated in his entire life until today. Why couldn't he speak the same language as her? Or, why couldn't she speak English at least? Now, they're like making noises as he couldn't understand her or Cora understanding him. How aggravating!

Regardless, Ivan and Cora ate in silence. Just as Ivan took the first bite, his face twitched in dismay as it tasted super bad. He then glanced at her who was gobbling it in enjoyment. "How can you enjoy this sh*t?" He asked, not expecting any response from her.

Since he was just staring at her, Cora unconsciously glanced back at him and tilted her head to the side. "Like not?" She asked, couldn't be bothered if she was grammatically wrong. Well, as long as she could make her point across, that's enough, right?

Indeed, she was right. Ivan understood what she meant. "Taste like poop." He scoffed, his whole face distorting as he didn't have an appetite to eat anymore. This is the reason he preferred chips; foods in here are barely edible for them but not for him. Italian problems.

"Hmm?"

"Sh*t. Poop. Bathroom. Poop." Frustrated, Ivan ruffled his hair once again as he thought of words that could be associated with the insult he was giving at the food she was enjoying. However, her visage told him she didn't understand at all.

"Eat. This." Since this dilemma seemed to be a hopeless situation, Cora pointed at the instant noodles, then showed him how to use chopsticks. She effortlessly used the disposable chopsticks to get a mouthful of noodles and shoved it inside her mouth.

"Mhmm." She hummed a tune, nodding her head as she raised both of her hands and showed a thumbs up.

"This is frustrating…" Ivan clicked his tongue, sighing as she truly misunderstood him. Because of that, he immediately grabbed his phone and sent a message to Zoey.

[Sis, how do you say the food tastes shit so your friend can understand?]

Without a second hesitation, Ivan sent it while Cora continued to eat while staring at him in puzzlement.

[No idea.]

"..." Ivan was rendered speechless as Zoey wouldn't help him out! He felt like flipping the table out of frustration as he closed his phone.

Meanwhile, Cora secretly messaged Zoey while the man across her was being grumpy like a grandpa. "Z, what's wrong with this guy? Can you help me say 'he should just eat because he looks stupid?' Without a second hesitation, Cora pressed send and glanced at their chat logs seeing Zoey typing.

[Stop throwing a tantrum and drive me to my crush.] <- Zoey's response.

Cora nodded her head and read the message aloud in difficulty.. "Stop towing a tantrum and drive me to crash."
