Wild Young Miss: Mister, Let's Kiss!

48 Don't touch what's mine

As Matthew Xi's gaze slowly moved, the Sun Corporation representatives including Richard Sun could feel his overwhelming aura. The atmosphere inside gradually turned heavy, causing them to be self-conscious.

Neither of them saw the smirk on his lips as they bowed their heads, not daring to raise their head before the king. After all, giving Matthew Xi the best impression and closing the deal with him would take the Sun Corporation to a level they haven't reached.

Therefore, they wouldn't dare to make a mistake. Their priorities were to make him happy, even if that means to bow their heads deeper than they should.

"Let's take a seat." Matthew Xi, as arrogant as ever, didn't bother to speak until he sat on the head seat of the long conference table.

"Thank you, Mr. Xi." Meekly smiling, Richard Sun spoke, and the rest raised their heads. Taking their seat, Richard Sun cleared his throat as he shifted his gaze towards Matthew Xi and began taking strides in front of the projector.

The next second, Paul Qian placed a folder of documents in front of Matthew Xi. As usual, Matthew Xi said nothing as he skimmed the project that caught his interest in the past. The reason Matthew Xi approved of this meeting that the Sun Corporation had been trying to get in touch with him for nearly a year.

However, although Matthew Xi was flipping the pages of the project proposal, his mind wandered somewhere else. The scene of Zoey and Richard Sun: Richard Sun holding on her hand while Zoey was holding on his wrist replayed in his mind.

Richard Sun, who was currently representing the proud project he led, kept on talking in front, yet he could feel Matthew Xi's lack of interest. Regardless, Richard Sun remained professional and continued to discuss the project they'd been trying to make the Xi Corporation be involved.

"Young master," After a long presentation, Paul Qian leaned closer to Matthew Xi, snapping him from his trance as the presentation ended five minutes ago.

"?" When Matthew Xi was brought back to reality, he slowly raised his gaze to Richard Sun standing not far away from him.

'What should I do with him...?' Matthew Xi stared at the seemingly gentleman — or rather, he examined Richard Sun for quite some time without saying a word.

Yesterday, the first time he set his eyes on Richard Sun, the said man appeared the same as what he looked right now. However, with Zoey, he seemed a different person.

Meanwhile, Matthew Xi's silence gave another meaning to everyone. Hence, the nervousness around the room turned heavier, causing their backs to produce buckets of sweats.

"Executive Director of Sun Corporation, Richard Sun, is it?" Soon, Matthew Xi finally spoke, causing another wave of greater pressure.

"Yes, CEO Xi." Gulping a mouthful of saliva, Richard Sun nodded his head. He couldn't afford to succumb to Matthew Xi's pressure — he couldn't afford to let this once in a lifetime opportunity to slip.

Thus, although it was improper for Matthew Xi not to do his research with the people he was meeting, they could not expect the king to do so. After all, if they close this deal, Matthew Xi would recognize their abilities and capabilities.

"Are you seeing someone?" Out of the blue, Matthew Xi asked. The entire room fell into nothing but stifling silence.

Something within them screamed, recalling the rumors about Matthew Xi. Of course, none of them fully believed that rumor, but now... why was he asking?

Did Matthew Xi taken an interest with Richard Sun? Were the rumors true then? That Matthew Xi was interested with men?

It caught Richard Sun off-guard. He blinked his eyes many times, confirming if he heard Matthew Xi right. Despite that, his surface showed no signs of being alarmed even though internally, his heart pounded in a painful pace.

In Richard Sun's mind, he already assumed for the worst; the dirtiest route to get this project done. If only Matthew Xi had an idea what the latter was thinking, he would reject this project within a heartbeat.

'Young master...' on the other hand, Paul Qian wept inwardly. What was his boss thinking? Was he doing this misdirection on purpose? No, that was impossible because his boss wouldn't do something like that... although unknowingly, they often misunderstood Matthew Xi.

"Ye — No." Stuttering, Richard Sun wanted to say 'yes' so Matthew Xi would forget whatever idea he has in mind. However, with the company's future at stake, he answered truthfully.

"Good." Nodding in understanding, Matthew Xi showed little emotions. "Don't touch what's mine the next time." Matthew Xi's words were vague, throwing everyone to a pool of question marks.
