Zoey didn't hesitate as she included in her warning. As soon as she did, the air was suddenly enveloped by silence. No one expected such an audacious response as this was an opportunity for her.

That didn't concern Zoey, though. She had known Master He for a long time and she wouldn't jump on the cunning trap Master He had suddenly thrown her way.

Everyone moved their surprised gaze from Zoey to Master He. No one dared speak a word as they waited for Master He's reaction at the uncalled warning.

"Hahaha!" After a minute of silence, Master He laughed and clapped his hands in amusement. "I like you!"

Master He exclaimed which made Zoey smile. Richard tilted his head to the side as he stared at Zoey. As he did so, his eyes glinted in amusement as he discerned that Master He preferred those types of people that would respond bluntly as her.

'She's really my type.' Richard uttered internally as a satisfied smile resurfaced on his lips.

With that, Zoey and Master He immediately clicked in a conversation. That easily, Zoey joined the circle of businessmen as if she was already at their level.

Richard, on the other hand, kept on glancing at Zoey. He didn't need to exert effort as these men had already grown fond of her. After all, Zoey could keep up with their business talks as if she was already a big time business magnate.

The longer they talked, the more they liked Zoey's intellect in their field. They immediately could tell that she wasn't just another wannabe who was trying hard. Business was already her passion and all information in her head already flowed naturally that could keep up with these successful businessmen's mindset.

"Miss Zhou, I noticed not only you're knowledgeable about the business field you're in, but also in a lot of areas." One of them turned to Zoey as he crossed his arms on his chest. "I can't help but feel threatened."

He humored. All of them chuckled as they shook their head while Zoey could not help but chuckle as well.

"If that's what you feel, Mister Xue should invest in me while I'm still a small timer businesswoman." One businesswoman chimed in and humored. Her answer obviously caused another wave of gleeful laughter because everyone already thought the same.

If they were correct, Professor Meng already saw that Zoey's future in the business industry was bright. Thus, an experienced businessman like Professor Meng wouldn't lose the chance to invest in her to ride on her coattails once she made it big.

In the business, one should also have a keen eye not just in business but also in the people. Just the time they spent with Zoey already alarmed them that she would be a tough competition or a prominent ally in the future.

Zoey smiled at them as she studied their expressions discreetly. With the knowledge of the future, she got on their good graces easily; they already liked her in an instant which she didn't attain that easily in her previous life.

Soon, as the event was about to start, Zoey was invited to sit with the rest of them. Of course, she immediately accepted in a modest manner.

However, before she could follow them, Zoey excused herself to go to the restroom. Obviously, that wasn't what she truly wanted because she hadn't seen Matthew and she wanted to look for him.

"Where are you going?" Before she could sneak, Richard suddenly approached her from the side.

Zoey stopped in her tracks and turned to him. "Restroom."

"That's not the way to the restroom." Richard bluntly informed as he cocked his head a little to the side. "You're going in the opposite direction."

Richard added as he calmly shoved his hands inside his pocket. Zoey pursed her lips in a thin line as she nodded in understanding.

"Thanks," She expressed half-heartedly as she walked to the direction Richard told her.

However, just as she brushed past him, Zoey halted as she heard Richard speak again.

"Are you going to look for your assistant?"

"Huh?" His question immediately caught Zoey's attention as she stared at him in silence. "You know where he is?"

Zoey asked as she studied Richard's expression. Richard had been rational and well-behaved the entire time. Thus, Zoey thought his younger version wasn't that bad.

After all, Richard only went gaga over her after she tried to seduce him with a wink. Well, she didn't expect him to fall for her so easily. His quick change of heart made her interest in this promising young man to vanish in an instant.

"Hmm…" Richard rubbed his chin, pondering whether to tell her or not. "Hehe, maybe… maybe not."

Richard teased with a smug grin plastered on his face. His answer made Zoey frown as she looked at him blankly.

'I knew it! His actions are so good to be true. He must be up to something.' Zoey's brows twitched.

"Whatever. I'll go look for him." Zoey rolled her eyes as she resumed in her steps.

"Haha! Wait, I'm just kidding!" Richard chuckled as he followed her tracks. "I know where he is, but…"

"I don't need you to tell me." Zoey instantly turned down whatever deal he wanted. She knew he would want something. Whatever it was, whether it was easy or hard, Zoey wouldn't bother.

"How cold. I'm just saying I don't know whether to tell you or not." Richard shrugged his shoulders.

"Say it." Zoey uttered as she stopped in her steps and faced Richard.

"Well," Richard cleared his throat. However, before he could speak his next words, a familiar voice reached their ear from behind them.

"Zoey."

Upon recognizing the voice, Zoey rolled her eyes while Richard furrowed his brows before he turned his head to the person's direction.

"Young Master Tang," Richard called out with a smile as his eyes wandered to Ezekiel's side. "It's good to see you here, but I don't see Miss Wei?"

Richard asked out of curiosity. He didn't bother how Ezekiel knew Zoey because he couldn't care less.

"Young Master Sun, are you concerned about my girlfriend while you're with your date?" Ezekiel queried which caused the smile on Richard's lips to fade.

Zoey who felt the sudden tension between the two took a step back. 'What? They have issues that I didn't know in this lifetime?'

Zoey wondered but didn't really care about it. Thus, while the two were having a fierce battle of glaring at each other, Zoey took her chance to sneak away.

"Young Master Sun, I see you have the hobby of taking interests in other people's possessions." Ezekiel mocked once again, taking advantage of the fact that everyone -- or rather, the important people -- were busy greeting the host of tonight's event.

"Haha! Young Master Tang, my sense of dignity and etiquette to respect Professor Meng's night stops me from responding to such childish nonsense." Richard sported a smile that didn't reach his eyes. "I hope you enjoy tonight's event."

Richard turned his back against the latter as he stopped himself from punching the jerk in the face. However, just as he was about to follow Zoey, Ezekiel sprinted and brushed past him.

Ezekiel was too fast that he caught Zoey's arm before she could sneak away successfully.

Zoey turned her head to his hand that was holding her wrist "What?"

"Follow me," Ezekiel said and dragged her,

However, before he could drag her, Zoey's other hand was pulled by Richard. Zoey nearly gasped as these two immediately caught the attention of the nearby guests.

"Young Master Tang, what are you doing with my date? Aren't you afraid that other people would think you're fooling around here despite having Miss Wei as your date?"
