"I see…" Matthew Xi nodded his head slowly, peering — rather, examining Enzo Li him from head to toe. After a second, Matthew Xi took a step forward, seemingly resuming on his tracks and leaving.

Matthew Xi's idea of dropping by in this place and checked on Zoey was one of his rash decisions again. Zoey might get the idea that he was a stalker or anything of the sort. After all, Zoey didn't inform him of her whereabouts. She told him nothing but asking for permission for inviting her 'friend' over.

How sneaky. Zoey annoyed him to the core so that he would agree on her demands so that she would stop fussing. Matthew Xi should have foreseen that the friend she was inviting over was his second cousin, Enzo Li.

How naive of him to think that Zoey would ask for his permission if Cora Ma was the person she was referring to. In this case, even if he would use this situation to break the deal, Zoey has her rebuttal and turn the table to make it look like it was his fault.

"Why aren't you going to your friend?" As he walked, Matthew Xi didn't need to turn around to know that Enzo Li was following him like a good lost child.

"Ahh…" Scratching the back of his head, Enzo Li awkwardly chuckled. "She has another visitor, and they were discussing something important." Looking up at Matthew Xi's shoulder, Enzo Li meekly stretched his lips to the side even though Matthew Xi wasn't seeing it.

Although it was partially the reason, Enzo Li's main reason was that he felt mandated to send Matthew Xi off. After all, despite that Matthew Xi was only a few years older than him, he was still the head of the Xi Family. Therefore, Enzo Li couldn't just let Matthew Xi leave alone unless the latter told him not to.

"Something important… like?" Arching his brows, Matthew Xi probed. Obviously, this unusual interest made Enzo Li's brows knit. Enzo Li expected silence as a response. However, Matthew Xi continued the conversation for whatever reason. How rare!

Still, Enzo Li didn't dwell on it because he thought Matthew Xi was trying to distract himself; Distract himself from whatever news he received about his health. Yes, until now, Enzo Li didn't scratch the possibility that his second cousin contracted a disease. The reason Matthew Xi was acting out of character.

"Err… my friend is in a troublesome situation so she needs legal advice."

"Stop hanging out with delinquents." Matthew Xi advised, taking Enzo Li's words as if Zoey was a gangster. Yet, at the back of his head, Matthew Xi wanted Enzo Li to stop lingering around Zoey since he couldn't stop Zoey.

"Hehe, I am not. It's just that there's this person that's obsessed with my friend." Sighing, Enzo Li was used to the seemingly 'fatherly' advice from his cousin. If not for a fact that they were related, Enzo Li would think that Matthew Xi was his young uncle.

Unlike Enzo Li, who could goof around and had the leisure to search for his passion, Matthew Xi couldn't do the same. Matthew Xi has to look after not just the business but also the family members, like a father that protected his family.

"Obsessed… who?"

"Huh?" Blinking his eyes many times, Enzo Li knitted his brows again. Matthew Xi never asked for details before. Rather, he never showed interest in other people's business. Yet, right now, Enzo Li was convinced that Matthew Xi was acting very suspicious. Reasons for Enzo Li to think that his second cousin's illness was more serious than he thought.

"Not many can afford the VIP services in this hospital. I would hate doing business with unstable people." As a fast thinker, Matthew Xi had prepared his answer naturally. Since he couldn't ask Zoey herself, Matthew Xi had thought to take advantage of Enzo Li's cluelessness about his affair with Zoey.

"Ahh…" Upon hearing his second cousin's reason, Enzo Li nodded his head in understanding. If Enzo Li heard this reason from someone else, he wouldn't buy it. However, it was Matthew Xi, the person who put the XI Corporation first before anything else.

"It was Richard Sun from the Sun Corporation!" Without further ado, Enzo Li answered. In another angle, Enzo Li thought that he could help Zoey indirectly if Matthew Xi blacklisted Richard Sun from doing business with the Xi Corporation.

After all, Enzo Li heard that the Sun Corporation had been eyeing to work with the Xi's. Little did he know, Matthew Xi had already met the man twice in a different circumstance.
