Meanwhile, back at Professor Meng's birthday party. Inside a private room, a group of men consisting of several businessmen and politicians that Zoey had befriended, sat around the large circular table.

On the host seat, Professor Meng perched before he moved his eyes to each of his special guests. There were his old friends, business associates, some whom he had a strong connection with.

"Old man Meng, I didn't expect you to hold such a grand event! I actually came just to confirm if it's really your party! Haha!" A middle-aged man exclaimed, followed by a gleeful chuckle.

"It's my daughter's grand plan. I wouldn't bother to organize this event myself." Professor Meng sighed as he shook his head sideways.

"I heard there was a promising young lady with you?" Another man chimed in, directing his question to the rest of the men and a few women around the table.

"Oh? Miss Zhou? Yes, but she suddenly disappeared." One middle-aged woman shrugged before sipping an ample amount of wine.

"Miss Zhou?" Upon hearing the name, Jimmy Feng who with them, furrowed his brows. "Zhou Zoey?"

Jimmy uttered in a questioning tone as he glanced at Cecil who was acting as his assistant, standing on the sidelines. As soon as he did, he saw the side of Cecil's lips curl up into a smirk.

"Yes! One of your recent business partners, I heard." The woman nodded. "Although, it's still suspicious she changed the mind of a scum like you." 

The woman added with a sneer on her lips. Although all of them who spent a little time with Zoey were convinced she had great potential, they weren't convinced that Jimmy breached a business contract just to do business with her.

After all, in this field, those who were just starting like Zoey, they were not the one who calls the shots. They had to suck up to the already established people for years until they made it big. 

"Haha," Jimmy chuckled weakly as he glanced at the woman but didn't bother to welcome her insinuation. Instead, Jimmy turned to Professor Meng and raised his brows.

"Ernest, why are you trying to help her?" Jimmy asked without beating around the bush.

Jimmy was surprised when Zoey's name was brought up. Although he was a puppet, standing as the head of the Feng Estate, Jimmy was not stupid to get the grasp of their situation.

As everyone knew, Professor Meng liked to do business with companies that had great potential. However, with Jimmy as one of Z Image Group's biggest clients currently, there was no way Professor Meng would not doubt Zoey's standing.

Professor Meng and Jimmy had close ties. Thus, the former should have guessed that Zoey was not what she posed to be. Just like their other friends' suspicions, there was no way Jimmy would breach a contract without solid reason.

"I'm doing someone a favor." Professor Meng beamed at him with a generous smile which made Jimmy narrow his eyes.

"A favor?" Jimmy repeated in a questioning tone before glancing at Cecil. The latter seemed like he had no idea of what Professor Meng was implying as well.

Just then, the entrance suddenly opened and a young man walked in. Everyone unconsciously turned their attention to the person who stepped inside this private dining room.

"Oh, he is here!" Upon seeing the foreign man, Professor Meng clapped his hands and stood from his seat. "Mister Silvestri, thank you for accepting my invitation!" 

Professor Meng walked towards Nikolai with arms open wide. Niko smiled as he shrugged his shoulders.

"When I heard you are holding a party, how can I resist? I finally have a reason to visit the country." Niko humored with a grin and then scanned the curious eyes that were on him.

"Good evening, ladies and gentlemen."

Niko slightly bowed his head politely. Everyone gazed at each other, their eyes asking if they knew him. However, it was evident that no one knew this man who was wearing the same attire as those waiters that were serving them.

Meanwhile, Cecil, who was standing on the sideline widened his eyes. Although the man didn't look familiar, his family name was! Everyone in the underworld knew the infamous Silva Family. Although Silva and Silvestri weren't alike, he knew that the Silvestri were the one who was running the said family.

"My friends, this is Mr. Nikolai Silvestri. A dear friend of mine who saved me and the company years ago. He is a businessman in Europe!" Professor Meng introduced Nikolai to the rest of them excitedly.

'Businessman? Yes, he is but… illegal businesses, that is.' Cecil uttered internally, his eyes fixed on Nikolai's side profile. The more he stared at him, the more he could feel the concealed ominous aura residing inside Niko.

"Oh? So young, yet so remarkable!" One of them exclaimed as he scrutinized Niko's figure from head to toe. Although Niko's attire was somewhat silly, that didn't hinder them from admiring the young man.

After all, it was Professor Meng who introduced him with high regards. Hence, no one dared offend a man. A successful businessman from abroad was a good prospect business partner. 

"Come, take a seat." Professor Meng invited him, gesturing to Niko to take the empty seat beside the host's seat.

As they did so, Niko spoke. "Anyway, Zoey had rushed one of the guests to the hospital. So, I don't think she will come back."

"Oh?" Professor Meng furrowed his brows as he sat down. "Something happened while I was not around?" 

"Haha. Something happened while everyone was around." Niko humored with a chuckle as he perched on the seat. "I nearly choked someone to death, that's all."

Niko uttered indifferently without any regards to the people around. When they all heard him, there was a long moment of silence as shock resurfaced on their faces.

"Mister Silvestri." Displeased, Professor Meng called out with an evident frown plastered across his lips.

"Haha! I'm kidding, of course!" Niko laughed out loud and shook his head.

Upon hearing his remarks, Professor Meng sighed as he shook his head sideways. "Mister Silvestri hasn't changed. Your pranks will be the death of me."

Professor Meng added and weakly chuckled while the rest also laughed awkwardly. Despite the uncanny joke, everyone didn't dwell on it as they ruled it as Niko being a little weird fellow.

'No, it's not a joke! I'm sure it's not!' Meanwhile, Cecil exclaimed inwardly as he had heard stories of the legendary Silva Family.. It was said they had a sick sense of humor.
