Wild Young Miss: Mister, Let's Kiss!

"Gosh…" Vivian massaged her temples to ease her stress. She cast her eyes at the door every once in a while and could not help but shake her head sideways.

After a beat, a knock from outside the door reached her ear before it opened. There, Butler Yi came in with a folder in his hand. Vivian's expression didn't change as she watched the butler approach her.

"Madam, here is the information you asked for yesterday. Do you still need them?" Butler Yi placed the folder on the small table in front of Vivian.

Butler Yi looked around for a second, not seeing Matthew and Zoey inside the office. The morning shock they received this morning was already hard to take in. Thus, he was a little concerned for Vivian.

Without a word, Vivian reached for the folder. She opened it and skimmed the content containing Zoey's information. 

Yes, Vivian ran a background check on the girl named Zoey Zhou when Matthew told her Zoey's name. However, its relevance was not needed anymore as she had already met Zoey. To make it worse, her son and Zoey already had premarital sxx.

Although Vivian understood that the new generation was aggressive, she held importance and believed that two people should only bond like this with the blessing of marriage. She was conflicted.

"He's driving me crazy." Vivian sighed her words as she closed the folder and tossed them back on the table. "Butler Yi, arrange a meeting with the Kwan's -- they're that girl's foster family. Also, arrange my schedule to visit the temple. I need to check their birth dates."

"Are you sure, Madam?" Instead of agreeing immediately, Butler Yi asked with his brows arched.

"Yes, and prepare a prenuptial contract. She won't get a cent from our Xi family." Vivian nodded as she stared at Butler Yi's eyes with determination. 

"I can't let a scandal get out of hand. My son is not one of those typical young masters who fool around with just anyone. Our Xi Family should take responsibility but take extra precaution. After all, Matthew is still a man and that girl surely seduced him." 

Vivian added sternly; her jaw tightening upon the conclusion she had in mind. Although she couldn't say she truly disliked Zoey, it was just too sudden. For Zoey to give her body that easily, it would be more strange if Vivian could just trust Zoey easily.

There must be some motives. Be it to reach her far-fetched ambition or she's after the Xi Family's wealth, Vivian was unsure; it could be both. Whatever it was, Vivian would accept Zoey in the family, but she couldn't guarantee that Zoey would live as a princess.

For a moment, silence enveloped the entire office. Vivian arched her right brow as she set her eyes at Butler Yi. He hadn't moved an inch.

"What?" Vivian asked, dissatisfied at Butler Yi's demeanor as it seemed like he didn't plan to abide.

"Madam, as you said, Young Master Xi is not one of those typical young masters who fool around with girls. If he was, he wouldn't decline the blind dates you set for him." Butler Yi uttered without looking away.

"Have you noticed something when you're talking to Young Master Xi and Miss Zhou?"

"..." 

Vivian remained silent upon hearing Butler Yi's question. Obviously, she noticed a lot of things. Aside from Zoey being a little strange and a cunning fox, her son was…

As she recalled her brief interaction with the two, Vivian bit her bottom lip. Little did she know, Butler Yi smiled upon seeing Vivian's conflicted reaction.

"I understand Madam's concern. However, don't you think it's time for Young Master to fix this himself? If he truly likes -- loves Miss Zhou, he would marry her. I'm certain the Young Master knows what he is doing." Butler Yi advised.

He may sound biased towards Matthew. However, that wasn't the case. Butler Yi would always side with Vivian no matter how illogical her decisions were. Still, he knew that Vivian was only acting in Matthew's 'best interest'.

Still, Butler Yi knew how Vivian loved her one and only son. If she ended up hurting him through the means of protecting him, he knew Vivian would be the person who would be the most hurt. Thus, as elders, Butler Yi figured that they should stay away from this matter.

After all, whether Matthew and Zoey's relationship worked or it would crumble, they should stand as a strong pillar of support for Matthew. That's the best method they could take right now.

"Butler Yi," Vivian sighed in distress, resting her back against the couch as she massaged her temples. "I know my son is fond of that girl. But, the problem is that woman. She just appeared out of nowhere; disappeared when she was a child, and then appeared and became the young miss of the Kwan Family. Who knows what motive she has."

"How can I let such a sketchy person around my son?" Vivian added with another heavy sigh.

"Young Master is already an adult. I'm sure he already knows of things we found out. Let's just trust the Young Master." Butler Yi offered a subtle smile while Vivian let out her nth sigh.

"Still, free my time later. I need to visit the temple." 

"Yes." With that being said, Butler Yi bowed and prompted to leave to execute her order.

Just as Butler Yi was on the door, the door opened. There, outside the door, Matthew was standing bearing a bright smile on his lips.

"Butler Yi," Matthew greeted. His tone was still the same, but the change in his usual gloomy demeanor was evident. "Did mother tell you to arrange a visit to the temple?"

Matthew asked and Butler Yi remained silent. Usually, Butler Yi would expect Matthew to reject the idea with a stern look on his face. But right now, Butler Yi couldn't guess Matthew's thoughts as he seemed to be… happy?

"I already did, but you can do it to reassure that our birthdate matches just perfectly fine." A coy smile resurfaced on his lips as he patted Butler's shoulder and headed inside.

"Mom, don't you want to bribe Zoey anymore? I think you should since she doesn't accept my money. Also, I'm planning to propose so I want your blessings -- although it seems like you already plan to arrange a flash marriage." 

As Matthew headed inside, he spouted tons of nonsense which made Vivian's face to distort. On the other hand, Butler Yi watched Matthew's back and the gradual change in Vivian's expression. 

'I see…' Butler Yi thought internally, smiling upon seeing the atmosphere inside. 'Madam, is this the change you noticed? Young Master acting more… human and normal? It must be.'

With a smile on his lips, Butler Yi left the room and let Vivian explode in anger at her son's recklessness in deciding. It's been a while to see Vivian and Matthew talk like normal mother and son and not strangers.
