Wild Young Miss: Mister, Let's Kiss!

Chapter 570 - The Grim Reaper And The Dumpling

"Scum!"

Suddenly, Churu appeared out of nowhere and threw a flying kick towards the man's head. However, the man didn't budge as he kept his eye contact with Matthew's figure.

Matthew, on the other hand, widened his eyes upon seeing a small dumpling appearing out of nowhere. Unlike the stern monk -- or rather, a sketchy man who was disguising himself as a monk -- this little one was way energetic.

"How many times do I have to tell you, don't meddle with my business?!" Churu fumed, flying closer to the man's face as steam released from her shiny white head.

"I'm a grim reaper and he shouldn't be having those memories. Don't you think you're the one who's messing with my job?"

"Hah! I'm raising the rating of the story! Those d*mn angels want something exciting! You're being obsessed with a single soul! Go to the hospital chu! The souls are lining up for you to take them to their rightful destination chu!"

As the little dumpling and the man that was claiming to be the grim reaper argued, Matthew was stupefied at the situation he was in. He darted his gaze from the man to the little dumpling in disbelief.

Matthew rubbed his eyes before returning his gaze at them. But, even if he did so, the flying dumpling was still there, arguing with the man as the latter finally showed his annoyance.

Just then, Matthew recalled Inigo's word back when he met him. Inigo mentioned something about a flying dumpling. He didn't believe it back then, but now that he saw it right before his eyes, could it be her?

'What's going on…?' Matthew whispered internally.

As soon as Matthew whispered in his mind, the grim reaper and the dumpling suddenly turned their heads towards him.

'Huh? Did they hear me?' Matthew wondered inwardly and the two suddenly nodded causing Matthew to hold his breath unconsciously.

"Good. Just hold your breath and die." The grim reaper said in satisfaction, nodding his head.

"Hey! Breathe! Do you want to die?! Don't listen to this spawn of evil!" Churu exclaimed as she instantly appeared in front of Matthew and pushed his chest. "Wow! How firm chu!"

Churu groped her little hands around Matthew's chest, pretending to push his chest for him to breathe with a touch of malice resurfacing on her coy face.

"You're the evil one." As Churu was enjoying taking advantage of Matthew, the grim reaper suddenly picked her up and tossed her to the side.

Fortunately, Churu could fly and stopped herself from crashing outside the room. "Hey!!! Scumbag!!"

As soon as Chuu stopped before going through the wall, Churu threw a huge fit and all the words that came out from her mouth were automatically censored. Meanwhile, Matthew couldn't grasp everything as it happened in a flash and he could only dart his gaze from the man to the cute dumping who was throwing a tantrum.

"Now, come and surrender." The grim reaper spread his palm towards Matthew, a subtle smile resurfaced on his stoic face which didn't conceal the deceit emanating from his evil eyes.

"No, don't chu!" From the farthest corner of the room, Churu shouted as she poofed beside Matthew. "Don't touch him!"

"What makes you think I will?" Matthew arched his right brow because there's no way he would just make a pact with the shadiest man he had ever laid his eyes upon.

Matthew was no saint. He could smell the ominous aura from someone, whether it was human or a… self-proclaimed grim reaper.

"Good, good, chu." Churu heaved a sigh of relief before casting a deadly glare at the 'scumbag'.

"Will I die if I touch him, though?" Out of curiosity, Matthew inquired even before he could realize how stupid his question was.

The self-proclaimed grim-reaper just cast a smile while Churu peered at him in disdain. "You're dumb, aren't you?"

"He is." The grim reaper answered Churu's insulting question as if the two finally agreed on one thing.

Hearing them, the corner of his lips twitched in dismay. Now, they were on the same side and were staring at him bearing those judgemental eyes.

"Stop. I know its a stupid question. But if a 'grim reaper' appears in front of me, does that mean I'm dying?" Matthew rolled his eyes, ignoring how judgemental their gazes were at him. "When? Now? Why?"

Matthew queried before they could answer. However, instead of getting an answer, Churu's weird laugh resonated across the room.

"Chichichi! I'm kidding chu! You're not dum dum! Of course, you won't die!" Churu chortled as she rolled on the floor while the grim reaper still bore the smile.

"Huh?" Matthew furrowed his brows as she tilted his head to the side.

Just moments ago, they were staring at him as if he was the dumbest person they had met. But now, they're telling him it's not stupid? Were they toying with him? Matthew was rendered speechless.

"A dead person should remain dead. As for you, you already died in the previous life before the chosen one time-traveled. It was already unprecedented on our side that the human named Inigo retained his previous memories. But you… you should remain dead. By dead, what I mean is, your memories from the previous life should remain unknown."

In a matter-of-fact tone, the grim reaper explained in one go. Matthew's brows were still knitted as he took the information in and nodded upon understanding his point.

"In other words, if you touch him, you will forget everything from the previous life! You will forget that you're the one who gave Inigo the power and you're the one who ordered to kill Ivan. You will forget that you joined hands with Zoey's nemesis and the man behind the Silva Family's demise chu!" Churu chimed in energetically, doing different poses in front of Matthew with a smug grin on her white face.

Matthew was speechless. They knew a lot that no one knew, not even Zoey. All he could do was watch the dumpling dance around the room.

"Inigo told me about you." After a moment of silence, Matthew finally mustered his courage to speak as he turned to the energetic bun. "Why can't he say anything to Zoey? I am experiencing the same thing."

Matthew clasped his chest, remembering the utter pain he experienced when he attempted to tell Zoey the truth. At first, Matthew planned to keep Zoey in the dark. However, after hearing Inigo's explanation, he wanted to give it a shot.

Thus, he tried. But before he could do so, his heart tightened as if a hand was gripping on it, squeezing it. If Matthew didn't unconsciously change his mind, he knew deep down he would die.

"That's the rule chu! Inigo and you are not meant to have the memories from the previous life! Zoey returning to time had already defied the rules of nature! Inigo was fortunate to die beside her and he was tagged along!"

"Then, how did I…?"

"Hehe. Zoey had the immunity to return in this lifetime. But in your case, it's your will to blame chu!" Churu smiled in awe as she stared at Matthew. "Your strong and desperate will to remember her is what caused you to regain the memories you shouldn't. So, now, you're carrying the burden of regret all alone without telling a single soul about it."

Churu explained which made a little sense for Matthew. Since Matthew forcefully retrieved the memories by the help of his previous life's strong will, he was granted the gift to remember and the curse to keep his mouth shut.

"Then, Inigo was able to tell me because we're both unwanted in this time-traveling?"

Just as Matthew asked, the door suddenly opened which made him turn his head to the door. There stood an elder monk with a smile.

"I'm sorry to make you wait, Young Master Xi. We suddenly had a problem and the assigned brother that should be accommodating you couldn't make it." The monk apologized as he explained the reason why he was late while entering the room.

Suddenly, Matthew turned his head back to the self-proclaimed grim reaper and the dumpling.. To his surprise, they were gone and left no traces that they've ever been there to be found.
