"Son, don't mind that tactless lady. I told you I will handle her and I will surely make her pay for what has done to you. For the meantime, focus on the project with the Xi's." A woman in her late 50s suggested trying to calm her son down.

"I'm sure she's plotting something." Upon hearing the best thing that happened today with the Matthew Xi, Richard Sun slightly calmed down. However, that wasn't enough to ease his mind because it was Zoey that they were talking about.

Richard Sun truly liked Zoey. However, the woman played hard to get and crushed his ego as a man. Therefore, his initial interest somehow turned to something unpleasant.

He wanted to prove something. Whether it was for him or to Zoey, he wanted to make her fall for her and dump her.

The thing was, he had tried different approaches and every time, his 'like' gradually turned to 'hate'. That last encounter with her was the last straw. Now, he truly hated her and wanted her demise.

Richard Sun wanted Zoey to kneel in front of him and beg for his mercy. After all, he was the heir and soon to be the CEO of the Sun Corporation.

Zoey, on the other hand, was just a normal businesswoman with that small company of hers. Although she had connections, Zoey couldn't do anything once the Sun Corporation took a leap.

That leap was the Sun and Xi's joint project. Once Richard Sun shook hands with Matthew Xi, even the people that refrained him from going all out against Zoey couldn't do anything.

"As I said, focus on the project with the Xi's." Calm, Mother Sun repeated. "What did you even saw in that woman? She's not that impressive." Shaking her head, Mother Sun sighed.

She never approved of Richard Sun's pursuing the woman. Fortunately, Zoey saved her the trouble of breaking them apart if ever she liked her son.

Still, she wouldn't let Zoey off the hook. Especially after receiving the last news regarding Richard Sun and Zoey's encounter. No one could harm her child; she would fight even the heavens to protect her son. A typical over protective mother... or so what it looked like.

Just then, Richard Sun heard his phone rang. Shoving his hand inside his suit pocket, Richard Sun immediately answered, seeing it was his secretary.

"What?" Sounding a bit annoyed, Richard Sun asked.

"Sir, I received a dinner invitation from Mr. Xi!" Panicking a little with a touch of excitement, the assistant happily delivered the news.

"What? Say it again?" Surprised, Richard Sun's foul mood vanished. He could not believe his ears for hearing the sudden invitation.

"Mr. Xi invited you to have dinner with him, Sir."

"Tonight at river lounge restaurant..." The assistant gave the whole details of the email. Aside from the short invitation, only the address and time was indicated on the email.

"Alright, I'll go there now. Tell them I'm coming!" Before Richard Sun hung up, he instructed.

"What's going on?" After the call, Mother Sun inquired as she watched her son panic while preparing to leave.

"Mr. Xi invited me to have dinner. I'll go, Mom." Rushing to go out, Richard Sun answered as he glided out to go to the location.

He shouldn't waste his time and make Matthew Xi wait. Regardless of the reason of this sudden dinner, Richard Sun didn't think of other terrible reason.

After all, Richard Sun assumed it was about the project. Perhaps Matthew Xi changed his mind and liked the current business proposal. Or maybe Richard Sun could finally secure this partnership.

"I'll expect good news!" As Richard Sun rushed outside, Mother Sun remarked. If her son was that excited, she assumed it was marvellous news.

Regardless, if Matthew Xi was gay and took a liking to her son, Mother Sun would turn a blind eye for the company's sake. Of course, deep down, Richard Sun would do anything even if it meant being Matthew Xi's toy boy.

Thank the heavens, Matthew Xi couldn't read people's mind. Else, the Sun Corporation would have to declare bankruptcy the next day.
