Will There Be A Happy Ending?

Tuk tuk tuk… after waiting for close to an hour, Hidayat could hear someone knocking on his glass door. "Come in."

Erika entered the room. Her jet-black hair was tied up loosely in a ponytail with bangs covering her forehead. Her casual high-waist midi black skirt, accentuate her body contour making her look s.e.xier. Her grey nylon shirt highlights her look even more, "You're looking for me?" She walked towards the desk and settled herself on the chair. Her walk full of grace you cannot hear her black stilettos hitting against the laminated flooring.

"Yeah… I was going through the Historical Sites Restoration project and noticed that Starlight is also a partner?" Hidayat walked towards his desk and sit down.

"Yup. That's right. They actually won the bid to work together with us for the project. Is there anything else you need me to look into?" Erika on her tablet in hand and opened the doc.u.ments she has for the project.

"Neh, it's okay. I will ask Leo to look into it later. So, what's the progress for the project?"

"We are currently still collating all the historical sites that need restorations. It should be done by tomorrow. After that, we will be having a meeting with the tourism board to decide which buildings or sites we will be working on for the first phase."

"Do we have an interim list?"

"Yeah, give me a moment, I'll send it to you now." Erika opened her email and sent Hidayat the list that she already has.

"Thanks, Erika. While Hidayah is still in the hospital, Daniel, you and I will be heading the meetings. As for this project, you can continue as the coordinator. If you need any help, just let me know. I have also informed Annabelle to open my schedule to you," Hidayat explained to Erika the managing plan while Hidayah is away. "I'm visiting Hidayah during lunch hours. Would you like to join me?"

"No, I have a lunch meeting with Mr Anderson from JAde Corporation. But I will be seeing her after that." Hidayat nodded his head in acknowledgement. They continued with the meeting at hand while going through almost all the projects that Hidayah and Erika were working on.

Hidayat worked in the office the whole morning with various Department Heads to have a better understanding of the corporation's projects and also to update the management of the changes made for the next quarter of the year. Usually, Hidayat is only in the office for work that is related to the charity programs and the orphanages that they own. ARK Corporation is under Hidayah's management and there isn't much work for him to do since he runs the restaurant by himself.

Hidayah's condition was getting better and the elderly couple finally felt eased enough for them to leave the ward for the afternoon to go home and rest before returning back to the hospital in the evening.

After lunch, Hidayat drove his parents back to the mansion and proceed to the training ground to oversee the accident's investigation and also to have the team investigate further on Starlight's participation in the heritage project. It seems, there's more to Starlight then it was portrayed in the business world.
